School Beauty's Personal Crazy Young Master

Chapter 682: Chapter 758: You Peeked at My Diary!

After flipping through the diary, Chen Nan closed the notebook.

Only now did he fully understand Huo Xinya’s hidden thoughts; had it not been for these diaries, he would have never known how much pain she had in her heart.

”It’s me who wronged you!”

Chen Nan lit a cigarette and began walking outside, step by step.

In his mind, he recalled the first time they’d kissed, that familiar taste now coming to mind.

Pulling out his phone, Chen Nan dialed Huo Xinya’s number. The calling tone buzzed incessantly, and after several dozen seconds, Huo Xinya finally answered the phone, ”What’s the matter?”

Chen Nan asked, ”Where are you?”

Huo Xinya fell silent, after a while, she said, ”If you don’t need anything, I’m hanging up.”

”Don’t!”

Scared that she would hang up, Chen Nan hastily said, ”I’m asking you where you are!”

”I don’t want to see you now.” Huo Xinya paused briefly before adding, ”Is there anything else? If not, I’m hanging up first.”

”Why can’t you just listen to me properly... Hello? Hello?”

Staring at the ”call ended” message on his phone, Chen Nan wanted to redial, but he worried that Xinya would find him annoying and shut off her phone, so instead, he dialed Qin Yixuan’s number.

He had intended to ask her to help track Huo Xinya’s phone location, but as soon as the call connected, he was met with a barrage of curses from Qin Yixuan, drenching him in a shower of rebukes, reminding him that he had offended this crazy woman the night before.

Having no time to listen to her torrent of abuse, Chen Nan hung up the phone and called Poison Wolf instead.

It took a while for Poison Wolf to answer, and he started with a slew of swearing, ”Who the **** is it, I’m busy here, go to Falcon if you need something!”

Chen Nan had destroyed his old phone and had yet to inform Poison Wolf about his new number.

Following Poison Wolf’s words, a woman’s panting voice could be heard through the phone—

”Mmm, stop answering the phone, go harder.”

”Oh, that feels so good.”

”Ah, take it easy, I can’t take it anymore, I’m going to die.”

Hearing these sounds, Chen Nan couldn’t help but feel speechless.

Whenever he tried to find him, this rogue was invariably with a woman.

”Damn you, you’ll die from exhaustion on a woman’s belly one of these days,” Chen Nan cursed, and Poison Wolf immediately quieted down, and then laughed heartily, ”Bro, you’re back, huh? Heard you went on a three-month holiday? Did you enjoy it?”

”Enjoy your sister’s holiday, I nearly lost my life,” responded Chen Nan jokingly, ”I’m serious, you need to take care, all you think about is sleeping with women. You’re going to wear yourself out.”

Poison Wolf sighed and said leisurely, ”You just don’t get it, to die under a peony is to be merry even in death. Besides, if I really die on a woman’s belly, the organization would have to recognize me as a martyr, wouldn’t they? How glorious that would be, a real honor to my ancestors!”

”You lecher, I don’t have time to talk nonsense with you. Get someone to locate this phone number for me, I need it urgently.”

”Are you freaking kidding me? Every time I’m in the heat of the moment, you have something important,” Poison Wolf complained, ”Hold on a sec, I’ll handle it right away.”

...

Two minutes later, Chen Nan stepped out the door and headed toward the riverbanks of Ningjiang.

Poison Wolf had told him that the location of Huo Xinya’s cell phone was near the banks of the Ningjiang River.

What was she doing at the riverside? She wouldn’t be thinking about jumping in, would she?

With this thought in mind, Chen Nan felt a shiver of fear and spurred his horse on quickly towards Ningjiang River.

On his way there, he was wall-climbing, like a gust of wind rushing past, and soon he arrived at the edge of Ningjiang River. Upon spotting Huo Xinya after scanning the area, he finally breathed a sigh of relief. Huo Xinya hadn’t come here to jump into the river...

Ningjiang River was two hundred meters wide, and because the water wasn’t deep, the riverbank was now covered with lush grass. Huo Xinya was sitting on this green stretch, contemplating the rolling waves.

Since he was quite far away, Chen Nan approached her without alarming her, step by step.

When he reached a spot ten meters behind her, Chen Nan said, ”Did you ask for leave because you don’t want to face me, or because you’re afraid to face me?”

The sudden voice startled Huo Xinya so much that she stood up sharply, her eyes filled with surprised as she looked at Chen Nan. She obviously hadn’t expected him to find her here, but she quickly regained her composure and shook her head, ”My leave has nothing to do with you.”

”Is that so?”

Chen Nan walked over and said, ”Do you dare to say that you weren’t just thinking of me?”

”You’re really full of yourself,” Huo Xinya said as she slowly calmed down and sat back down on the grass, ”I used to like you, but now, you’re no different from a stranger to me; if there’s any connection at all, it’s merely because I consider you my brother-in-law.”

Chen Nan sat down next to her, ”Do you dare to look me in the eye and say that again?”

After a moment of hesitation, Huo Xinya looked up at him and said indifferently, ”I’ll say it one more time, you’re just a stranger to me, don’t flatter yourself.”

”But I saw the tears in your eyes.”

”It’s just the wind,” she replied.

Huo Xinya turned her head and stared at the river, ”If you came here just to talk about this, then you can leave.”

Chen Nan looked at her and said, ”Don’t you want to talk to me even a bit more?”

”No!”

Huo Xinya said firmly, ”You can leave now, can’t you?”

Chen Nan stretched out his arm and suddenly pulled her into his embrace.

”Let me go!”

Huo Xinya struggled fiercely, but Chen Nan simply would not let go; she ended up biting his arm.

”Hss...”

Feeling the excruciating pain, Chen Nan took a deep breath but still did not release her.

As Huo Xinya bit down harder, cold sweat formed on Chen Nan’s forehead due to the pain, yet he still did not let go.

Even with his current Martial Body Cultivation, he could prevent any damage to his arm with just a flex of his muscles given Huo Xinya’s current power, but he did not resist. He wanted to tell Huo Xinya that even if she bit a piece of flesh from his arm, he would definitely not let go.

Feeling Chen Nan’s arm trembling, Huo Xinya involuntarily lessened her grip.

Her hands grabbed his arm, her teeth still biting down, though without any strength now. After a while, she slowly let go, ”If you don’t let go soon, I’ll bite off a piece of your flesh!”

”This time, even if you bit me to death, I wouldn’t let go,” he said.

Hearing his words, tears welled up in Huo Xinya’s eyes and began to fall—she no longer had the heart to bite him again.

”I’ve already told you I don’t like you, why are you still pushing me like this?”

”Likings and dislikings aren’t decided by what you say,” Chen Nan reached out to stroke her hair, saying, ”I’ve already been to your place, and I know everything that’s on your mind. Stop being so stubborn.”

Huo Xinya’s face changed as she glared at him, ”You went through my diary!”
