School Beauty's Personal Crazy Young Master

Chapter 584: Chapter 656 Let’s Make Up!

Watching Jiang Shaokang in his sorry state, it was quite amusing; many couldn’t help but burst into laughter.

”Chen Nan, you just wait for me!”

With a vicious threat, Jiang Shaokang stormed out of the private room, seething with anger.

Clearly, with things having escalated to this point, there was no way he could continue in his role. Even if he thickened his skin and stayed, Wang Xia, under pressure from Chen Nan, wouldn’t possibly use him again.

...

Apart from that little interlude, the meal was quite enjoyable.

However, due to the sudden need to replace the lead actor, the start of filming was naturally delayed.

Around two in the afternoon, a Beetle car stopped at the school gate.

As Chen Nan walked into the school, he started to worry.

He knew that because of his multiple skipped classes, Lan Yuqin wouldn’t let him off easily.

How should he deal with this girl?

As he was feeling down, suddenly a voice rang out, startling him—

”Chen Nan!”

Huo Xinya approached with a calm expression from not too far away.

”Xin...Xinya, what are you doing here?”

”I couldn’t sleep this afternoon, so I took a walk around.”

Huo Xinya stepped closer, and as the distance between them narrowed, her expression grew colder. After staring at Chen Nan in silence for a while, she pointed outside the school gate and asked, ”Who was that woman just now?”

Hua Xiaoyan?

”A friend of mine.”

Huo Xinya gazed at him, then after a moment of silence, she sighed and said, ”Isn’t sister good enough to you? Why are you so fickle?”

Chen Nan was speechless.

Even though he didn’t have much to do with Hua Xiaoyan, his fickleness was, in fact, true.

Huo Xinya squatted down, brushed some dust off at the edge of a flower bed, and seated herself saying, ”Do you know what she said to me over the phone?”

Chen Nan sat down too: ”I’ve let her down.”

”She didn’t blame you.”

Huo Xinya shook her head, the aggravation in her tone seemed palpable: ”You’re so fickle, repeatedly letting her down, and yet, she doesn’t blame you!”

Chen Nan nodded: ”Everything you’re saying, I know. It’s just that I really can’t control myself from liking other women; it’s just like you know you shouldn’t like me, but you can’t resist the impulse in your heart. It’s the same thing.”

”You’re right, emotions can’t be controlled. Otherwise, in the beginning, I wouldn’t have done something to betray my sister.” Huo Xinya looked at him earnestly: ”Still, aren’t you a bit too fickle, falling in love with every woman you see? Has anyone ever been like that?”

Chen Nan remained silent.

Staring at him, Huo Xinya stood up after a moment of silence and said, ”Think about it carefully. It’s almost time for class, you should get back to the classroom.”

”Wait!”

Chen Nan grabbed her hand, gritting his teeth, ”Xinya, let’s... make up.”

Huo Xinya’s heart trembled, feeling a warmth in her eyes.

She wanted to agree to Chen Nan, but she couldn’t get over the hurdle in her heart and shook her head, ”You’re my brother-in-law, what nonsense are you talking? I’ll pretend I didn’t hear this just this once, don’t say it again.”

She tried to pull her hand away to leave, but Chen Nan held on tight.

”Yiyi already knows about us. She hopes we can make up; you’re her only sister, and she doesn’t want you to be sad,” Chen Nan said, looking into her beautiful eyes. ”Xinxin, please agree to it, okay?”

Huo Xinya struggled fiercely within herself.

After a moment of silence, she broke free from Chen Nan’s grip: ”I’ll say it again, you are my brother-in-law!”

Watching Huo Xinya before him, Chen Nan shook his head and, with a firm pull, brought her into his embrace.

Suddenly embraced by Chen Nan, Huo Xinya briefly lost her composure before quickly struggling to free herself, ”Chen Nan, what are you doing? Let go of me.”

Regardless of Huo Xinya’s punches and kicks, Chen Nan simply would not let go.

”Slap!”

Huo Xinya slapped him across the face, and Chen Nan did not dodge.

Glaring at Chen Nan, Huo Xinya angrily said, ”You’re nothing but a hooligan!”

Chen Nan paid no attention to her words, looked at her and said, ”Yiyi even hopes that we will make up, why are you still being so stubborn?”

”I don’t like you anymore, I hate you, I don’t want you bothering me anymore, just give up! Please stay away from me from now on!” Huo Xinya said, and she turned to leave just as tears were about to fall.

Chen Nan quickly stepped in front of her, catching sight of the tears in her eyes.

”Huo Xinya, I’m telling you, as long as I, Chen Nan, have a breath in me, this heart of mine will not die. You want me to stay away from you? No chance. Don’t say you refuse me now, even if you were to marry someone else later on, I will still undermine him; in this lifetime, I’ve truly latched onto you!”

”You! Scoundrel!”

Huo Xinya glared at him, then turned and continued toward the other side.

Chen Nan took a step across and again blocked her way.

The bright shimmer of tears reflected in Huo Xinya’s eyes; she glared at Chen Nan once more, then turned to walk in another direction. However, she had barely taken a step when Chen Nan blocked her path again.

”What exactly do you want? There’s no chance for us!” Huo Xinya stared at him and angrily said.

Seeing her furious expression, Chen Nan also felt he was too impulsive just now.

After hesitating for a long time, he said, ”I was too much just now; I didn’t consider your feelings. I apologize.”

Huo Xinya gave him a cold look and said, ”I accept your apology; I forgive you. Goodbye.”

Having said that, she turned and left.

Watching her leave, Chen Nan didn’t chase after her but called out, ”Does it have to be this way?”

Huo Xinya stopped in her tracks.

She turned her head back and seriously said, ”We really don’t have a chance anymore. If you keep pursuing me like this, we can’t even be friends.”

”I never wanted to be friends with you, because you are my woman!”

Chen Nan took two steps forward, and said, ”It’s okay if you don’t agree now, I can wait. Someday, you will accept me.”

”You!”

Huo Xinya glared at him fiercely, turned around, and left, ”You’re utterly unreasonable!”

Just as Chen Nan thought to chase after her, Lan Yuqin came from the teachers’ dormitory, pointed at him, and shouted, ”Chen Nan, stop right there! You skipped class this morning and now you’re here harassing a female student, are you looking to rebel?”

Darn, why is Lan Yu here?

Chen Nan felt a headache coming on and replied with an awkward smile, ”Teacher, good afternoon to you, ma’am.”

”Humph!”

Lan Yuqin approached him directly, ”Xinya, well done, you should reject this jerk, reject him firmly, and make him lose all hope!”

Huo Xinya bit her lip lightly, feeling somewhat downcast.

After greeting Lan Yuqin, she looked towards the teaching building and said, ”Teacher, class is about to start. If there’s nothing else, I’ll head to the classroom first.”

”Sure, go ahead.”

Lan Yuqin waved her off, her gaze settling back on Chen Nan.

She felt a sourness in her heart, discomfort welling inside.

When she had seen Chen Nan relentlessly pursuing Huo Xinya, irritation surged within her, and although she was reluctant to admit feeling jealous over this rascal student, the truth was she indeed felt jealous.

Pointing at Chen Nan, Lan Yuqin shouted, ”You scoundrel, do you realize your offenses?”

”Ah, what lovely weather today!”

Chen Nan sighed to the heavens, ignoring Lan Yuqin completely, and headed straight for the teaching building.
