School Beauty's Personal Crazy Young Master

Chapter 583: Chapter 654: Pretending to Be Cool? I’ll Slap You to Death!

”You still have the same personality as before, such a pity you don’t recognize me anymore.” Watching Chen Nan’s retreating figure, Shi’er sighed softly, her innocent and pure eyes revealing a touch of helplessness.

After a while, she waved her sleeve, and a gentle white light surged out, closing the door. She then turned her head back to continue watching her video.

...

After leaving the villa, Chen Nan drove his BMW Z4, which hadn’t been used for a long time, towards the school.

As he parked his car at the school gate and was about to enter, a Volkswagen Beetle zoomed in, stopping at the entrance.

Chen Nan felt the car looked familiar, and upon a glance at the driver’s seat, he realized it was Jiang Xiaomi’s pesky cousin—Hua Xiaoyan.

”Chen Nan, you’re here! What a coincidence, saves me the trouble of looking for you inside,” Hua Xiaoyan hurriedly opened her car door and ran over, cheerfully saying.

Chen Nan frowned, ”Is there something you need?”

He was somewhat annoyed inside, suspecting that if this woman was looking for him, it was bound to be nothing good.

Hua Xiaoyan grabbed his hand and started dragging him towards her car, saying as she walked, ”You’ve helped me so much, today I’m treating you to a meal.”

”Treat me to a meal? Are you kidding me, do I look like a three-year-old to you?”

Chen Nan shook off her hand and turned to leave. This woman said she wanted to eat, but he was sure she must be up to something, otherwise, she would never be so eager to please.

”Wait, don’t go.”

Hua Xiaoyan quickly pulled on him again, giggling and said, ”It seems I can’t hide anything from you. To tell you the truth, we had our kick-off ceremony this morning, and the crew is having a luncheon at noon. Consider it my treat, even if I’m not the one paying, but I promise I’m not setting you up this time.”

Chen Nan regarded her with a skeptical look and stared at her chest, ”Are you sure you’re not lying?”

”I’m not, really.”

”Then do you dare to swear on your conscience?” Chen Nan pointed at her chest.

”I swear I could even do that...”

Before Hua Xiaoyan could finish her sentence, she noticed Chen Nan’s lecherous movement and immediately got angry. She reached out to pinch his arm.

”Hey, don’t be so violent, girl.”

Chen Nan dodged to the side and, taking the opportunity, wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her into his embrace, laughing, ”Have you forgotten? Last time, in front of the director, I played your boyfriend. Is it worth freaking out just because this boyfriend touched you a little?”

Hua Xiaoyan was gritting her teeth.

Glaring at the hand that was holding her, she roared, ”You bastard, is it just touching? You’re groping! Let go of me, let go now!”

”Did I grope? No, I didn’t!”

Chen Nan, with an expression of bewilderment, picked up Hua Xiaoyan and laughed heartily as he walked toward the car.

”You son of a bitch, you’re hurting me, let go!”

Hua Xiaoyan was lashing out, but Chen Nan ignored her, simply throwing her into the Beetle and then settling himself in the driver’s seat, driving off into the distance.

Inside the school gate, Jiang Xiaomi’s mouth dropped open, staring dumbfounded at the scene outside.

After a while, she rubbed her eyes and stamped her foot hard on the ground, frustratedly saying, ”That beastly cousin, stealing my man, geez!”

She then took out her phone and dialed Hua Xiaoyan’s number: ”You wretched woman, why are you going after my man?”

Inside the car, Hua Xiaoyan, who had just freed herself from Chen Nan’s clutches, heard Jiang Xiaomi’s accusation and a malicious plan of revenge popped into her head: ”Mimi, it was him who forced me, how could your cousin, as a weak woman, resist him? He also said he wants to find time to ’train’ you as well, he mentioned that...”

”Hua Xiaoyan, I’m going to kill you!”

Chen Nan cursed loudly and quickly snatched the phone away, ”Mimi, don’t listen to her nonsense, it’s all made-up.”

Jiang Xiaomi didn’t explode as expected but instead said dejectedly, ”Nan, how could you do this? You could go after anyone, but why my cousin? Isn’t that just messed up?”

”I really didn’t go after her!”

”I saw everything, and I won’t blame you,” Jiang Xiaomi said discontentedly, ”But you’re being so unreliable; you can’t go after that rotten woman. Otherwise, when you meet my grandpa in the future, will you call him ’grandpa’ along with her, or will you call him ’granddad’ along with me?”

Chen Nan was left speechless.

Jiang Xiaomi’s thinking was just too bizarre, way beyond human comprehension!

”Don’t worry, I would never go after her, that pitfall of a woman,” Chen Nan said helplessly, and without waiting for Jiang Xiaomi’s reply, he hung up.

...

Ten minutes later, the car stopped in front of a hotel.

Chen Nan glared, ”Who are you calling a hoodlum?”

”I’m calling you, hoodlum!”

Hua Xiaoyan snorted coldly and glared at him again.

”Exactly, it’s you, the female hoodlum, who’s calling me names,” Chen Nan laughed triumphantly, putting his arm around her waist as he walked inside.

Hua Xiaoyan was rolling her eyes. Was she an idiot? How could she fall for this guy’s trick again!

...

The two arrived on the second floor.

Inside a large private room, Director Wang Xia and the rest of the crew, whom he’d met yesterday, were all present.

As soon as they saw Chen Nan, Director Wang immediately stood up with a sycophantic smile, saying, ”Miss Hua and Young Master Chen are here, come, please take a seat here!”

”Thank you, Director Wang.”

Hua Xiaoyan smiled faintly and walked over with Chen Nan.

Because of Director Wang’s enthusiastic greeting, all the other crew members couldn’t help but look curiously at Chen Nan and Hua Xiaoyan.

Just who were these two?

Jiang Xiaomi actually received such a warm welcome from Wang Xia, you should know that in the crew, Wang Xia holds the ultimate power.

Of course, this so-called ultimate power does not include the producer, after all, that’s just the big boss who’s in charge of investing, not meddling; not even the producer showed up for this dinner gathering.

”It’s an honor for our crew to have Miss Hua cooperate with us this time. Here’s to you.”

Wang Xia picked up his glass with a beaming smile, and with just a single sentence, he elevated the newcomer Hua Xiao Yan to the status of a big star within the crew.

”Director Wang, you are too kind.”

Hua Xiao Yan clinked glasses lightly and took a small sip.

Although her alcohol tolerance wasn’t very good, red wine wasn’t too strong anyway, so it wouldn’t hurt to drink a little bit.

Seeing how courteous the director was to Hua Xiao Yan, a young man in his twenties sitting nearby began to look a bit displeased.

This young man was named Jiang Shaokang, the male lead of this production. He had acted in a few films before and was fairly well-known domestically, almost considered a first-tier actor.

Among all the actors in this crew, his popularity was the highest.

However, even when he had just arrived, Wang Xia hadn’t extended him a few kind words, yet now Hua Xiao Yan, a newcomer, was receiving Wang Xia’s great attention, which made him feel quite uncomfortable.

He believed that Hua Xiao Yan must have slept with Wang Xia, which was why Wang Xia was promoting her so blatantly.

With a scornful sneer, Jiang Shaokang looked at Hua Xiao Yan with a superior tone, ”Miss Hua must have acted in quite a few plays, right? Forgive my ignorance, but I’ve never seen your work before. Could you please introduce some of your previous films?”

Knowing full well his intentions weren’t pure, Hua Xiao Yan responded with a slight smile, ”Mr. Jiang is joking. I’m just a newcomer, and only because Director Wang valued me have I had the opportunity to sign for this movie.”

”So you’re a newcomer...”

Jiang Shaokang deliberately stretched out the last word, his words ripe with disdain, ”Miss Hua is indeed talented. Even newcomers can be so popular. Not bad at all, truly remarkable.”

Chen Nan’s expression darkened.

The implication of the other’s words was that Hua Xiao Yan had used some unspeakable means to land the lead female role.

Although Chen Nan’s methods were indeed a bit unsavory, he wouldn’t tolerate others talking nonsense. After all, Hua Xiao Yan was his girlfriend now, and Jiang Shaokang’s words were not only an insult to Hua Xiao Yan but also a slap in Chen Nan’s face.

Chen Nan looked at Director Wang and pointing at Jiang Shaokang said, ”Hey, Old Wang, who is this guy? How come he looks like a human but doesn’t speak human language?”

Director Wang internally groaned but quickly responded, ”Mr. Chen, this is Jiang Shaokang, a well-known actor.”

”Very well-known? Why haven’t I heard of him?”

”This...”

Wang Xia felt a bit embarrassed, thinking that Jiang Shaokang was a numbskull for messing with this big shot carelessly, and if he angered him, even he couldn’t protect Jiang.

Jiang Shaokang’s face turned an iron shade of green.

He wanted to rush up and slap Chen Nan, thinking to himself that he was also a star, ”Have you never watched TV? How could you not recognize me? Are you blind or are you just trying to humiliate me on purpose?”

Glancing at Chen Nan, Jiang Shaokang sneered, ”And who might you be?”

”Who the fuck are you to ask who I am, it’s none of your fucking business.”

Chen Nan cursed without any manner, instantly tightening the atmosphere on the set, with Jiang Shaokang’s face darkening as he found himself lost for words.

This was a blatant... no, a naked slap in the face!

”Mind your language, please!”

Jiang Shaokang pointed at Chen Nan, trying his best to maintain his own image.

Chen Nan stood up, looking every bit the ruffian hooligan, ”Politeness is meant for humans, do I need to be polite to you?”

”You dare call me inhuman?” Jiang Shaokang retorted angrily.

Chen Nan grabbed a bottle of wine and took a swig, ”Did I say you weren’t human? That’s what you called yourself.”

”Damn you, you dare toy with me!”

After having had a few drinks, Jiang Shaokang’s temper flared up, and he pointed at Chen Nan and cursed, ”Apologize to me by kowtowing this very night, or I’ll have you lying dead on the street!”

”Are you threatening me?”

Chen Nan, holding onto a wine bottle, walked towards him step by step, pointing at his head, ”Do you believe that I can start bleeding you right now?”

”Have the balls to try!”

As a martial arts actor, Jiang Shaokang had a solid foundation in martial arts and didn’t take Chen Nan seriously at all.

”Good, very good!”

Chen Nan nodded with a smile, and after finishing the wine in the bottle with his head thrown back, he swiftly smashed the bottle onto Jiang Shaokang’s head with a speed that couldn’t be dodged, causing him to scream in agony and fall to the ground clutching his head.

”You... you dare hit me!”

Clutching his bleeding forehead, Jiang Shaokang tried to rise, but then Chen Nan kicked him in the stomach, sending him rolling on the ground continuously.

”So I hit you, so what? Got a problem with that? If you do, hit me back. Come on!” Chen Nan threw away the half bottle in his hand and lit a cigarette.

It wasn’t until now that the rest of the crew realized what was happening.

They each tried to persuade Chen Nan to sit down, fearing a fatality might occur.

Shaking with anger, Jiang Shaokang managed to stand up and pointed at Hua Xiao Yan, ”Director Wang, if Hua Xiao Yan has such a boyfriend, she herself can’t be a good sort. I suggest we change the lead actress, otherwise, I cannot go on acting in this film.”

You blockhead, you had it coming!

Director Wang stood up and shook his head, ”What did Mr. Chen do just now? I didn’t see anything, did any of you?”

Everyone was stunned for a moment, but then they understood Director Wang’s meaning and shook their heads one by one.

With a shrug and a smile, Director Wang said, ”Shaokang, although you’re somewhat famous, you can’t blame Mr. Chen for your own fall, right?”

”You... you...”

Jiang Shaokang quivered as he pointed at Director Wang and Chen Nan, his body trembling with rage. He huffed and stormed out, but as he did, he stepped on the half wine bottle Chen Nan had thrown away, slipped, and with a thud, fell face first to the ground, cursing unabashedly, ”Motherfucker, what the hell!”
