School Beauty's Personal Crazy Young Master

Chapter 552: Chapter 621: Leading the Sky Team, Let’s Go!

”Senior brother, how come you...”

Upon seeing Chen Nan get out of the car, a look of surprise appeared on Ye Yiyi’s angelic face. She instinctively wanted to approach him, but she hesitated and stopped in her tracks.

Beyond surprise, she was also somewhat at a loss. Clearly, she had guessed why Chen Nan would appear here.

”Silly girl, is there something you can’t tell me? Why keep it a secret from me?”

Chen Nan’s previously icy face finally softened with tenderness, his tone carrying a hint of reprimand.

Ye Yiyi timidly lowered her head, ”I just didn’t want to worry you...”

”But by doing this, you’re making me worry even more!”

Chen Nan ran his hand over her head, pretending to be angry as he looked at her, ”This mission is so dangerous, what would I do if something happened to you?”

Ye Yiyi scratched her head, holding onto Chen Nan’s wrists with both hands.

Feeling the comforting warmth, a smile bloomed on her face, ”I’m sorry, senior brother.”

”You still remember I’m your senior brother!”

Chen Nan said irritably, and with his other hand, he took out his cell phone, ”I have to ask Master why he assigned you this task.”

”Don’t!”

Ye Yiyi stopped him from making the call, softly explaining, ”The Treasure that was stolen this time is related to my past, and only I can sense the general location of the Treasure; thus, I must go.”

”Related to your past?”

After hearing Ye Yiyi’s explanation, Chen Nan was momentarily startled, then he seemed to understand.

If that was the case, then his junior sister indeed had to participate in this mission.

With that in mind, he nodded his head, ”If that’s the case, I truly can’t stop you, but I will also join this mission.”

”But...”

Chen Nan immediately put his hand over her mouth, ”If you still listen to your senior brother, then don’t say anything else.”

Ye Yiyi could only obediently nod.

”That’s my good junior sister. Just wait for me.” Chen Nan returned to the car and said to Du Lang, ”Back to the Su family villa, I need to get something.”

Before coming here, he had only thought about how to stop his junior sister and hadn’t considered anything else.

But now that the mission must be carried out, he naturally had to make thorough preparations. The Jade Lotus Platform had already been returned, but the Heavenly Punishment Demon Sword was his own, and he needed to bring it.

Half an hour later, Chen Nan returned to the base with the Demon Sword and boarded a large transport plane with the members of the Sky Team.

The mysterious people who had stolen the Treasure had fled towards the southwest two days earlier. According to Sky Team’s intelligence, they were planning to leave the country through Huaxia’s southwestern border, and now they were not far from the border.

To catch up with those people, they had to use the air force’s transport plane to head to the southwestern border for interception.

More than seven hours later, the plane landed at another air force airport in the southwest.

After disembarking, the leaders of the air force unit awaiting them hurriedly approached, ”You must be the leaders from the Sky Team? All the equipment has been prepared, please follow me.”

With that, he led them to the front of a row of vehicles.

More than ten off-road military vehicles were parked neatly outside the airport, ready for Sky Team’s dispatch.

Without bothering with niceties, Chen Nan greeted them briefly, then on his command, he and Ye Yiyi climbed into the first vehicle.

Poison Wolf also jumped into the vehicle, started the engine, and turned to say, ”According to intelligence, those people should have fled into the Ten Thousand Great Mountains by now. We’ll first head to the village at the foot of the mountains for some rest, and then immediately trek on foot into the mountains!”

Chen Nan nodded, ”That’s the plan, let’s hurry over as fast as possible.”

Poison Wolf said no more and immediately started the off-road vehicle.

After more than three hours of bumping along the winding mountain dirt roads, the convoy reached a village not far from the border.

It was just after five in the morning, still some time before daybreak.

Upon arrival, there were no more mountain paths to follow. If you wanted to enter the Ten Thousand Great Mountains, you had to rely on your own two feet.

Poison Wolf jumped out of the vehicle and suggested to Chen Nan, ”How about resting for five minutes before we head into the mountains?”

Chen Nan thought for a moment, then turned to his junior sister, ”Yiyi, can you sense the location of the treasure now?”

Ye Yiyi concentrated and felt for a moment before opening her eyes, ”I can sense it. It’s still some distance away, but they can’t escape my sensing anymore.”

Hearing this, Chen Nan nodded, ”Then let’s rest for an extra ten minutes. Although the brothers can keep up physically, they must be somewhat weary after such a long trip. We’re facing a big battle, so we need to be fully prepared and can’t let the brothers suffer when the time comes.”

Poison Wolf agreed, ”Then I’ll go inform them.”

Following the orders, Sky Team members began to rest on the spot. Chen Nan also took out field rations from the vehicle, ready to share with Ye Yiyi.

It seemed their arrival had disturbed the previously peaceful village, as lights started to turn on in the stilted buildings. Shortly after, a dark-complexioned middle-aged man ran out, greeting Chen Nan with a smile, ”Yo, you’re soldiers, right? Is this a drill or are you on some mission? Come rest in my shop.”

This man operated a game restaurant in the village, often hosting tourists venturing into the mountains.

Mistaking Chen Nan and his team for troops, he warmly invited them to rest in his establishment.

Chen Nan was going to decline, but couldn’t resist the man’s enthusiasm and ended up leading Ye Yiyi to the little shop of the stilted building.

”Just a moment, sirs, I’ll prepare some hot Mountain Treasure Soup for you right away. Drinking my soup is the best way to warm up and combat the cold. Not to brag, but the tourists who come here for mountain adventures always praise how good my Mountain Treasure Soup is!”

The middle-aged owner had a big smile on his face as he hospitably attended to them, appearing honest and simple.

Seeing the owner getting busy, Chen Nan quickly stopped him, ”We’ve already disturbed your rest, and now how can we still let you go to the trouble on our account?”

The owner, when held back by Chen Nan, wore an unhappy expression, ”What’s this? I can’t offer some soup to you who work so hard guarding the borders?”

With the owner insisting like that, Chen Nan could no longer refuse him and could only nod his head with a wry smile, letting the man get to work.

Before long, the owner came with a large wooden barrel, cheerfully beckoning Chen Nan and his group, ”Help yourselves, I’ll take some out to your brothers outside.”

Smelling the aroma floating from the barrel, Poison Wolf involuntarily swallowed and was the first to rush forward.

Chen Nan was speechless, and Ye Yiyi couldn’t help but smile with pursed lips.

Who knew that this guy was not only lecherous but also a glutton?

However, at that moment, Chen Nan unintentionally glanced back and noticed the shop owner’s eyes flickering, exuding a whiff of conspiracy.
