School Beauty's Personal Crazy Young Master

Chapter 124: Chapter 146: Huo Xinya Severely Injured!

”Principal Yang, good morning!” Chen Nan said cheerfully.

Yang Shan’s expression stiffened, and his face looked worse than if his father had died. He felt so distressed—why was Chen Nan, this plague of bad luck, also here!

”Good, good, good morning,” Yang Shan replied with a forced smile, then quickly added, ”Um, I just remembered I still have something to take care of. I have to go first.”

Seeing Yang Shan turn to leave, Chen Nan chuckled, ”Principal, don’t forget what I said yesterday!”

Already a bit nervous, Yang Shan jerked in fright when he heard Chen Nan’s words. He accidentally kicked his right heel with his left foot, lost his balance instantly, and thudded to the ground, nearly knocking his teeth out.

Lan Yuqin was still somewhat confused about what had happened. Why did a single sentence from Chen Nan scare Yang Shan like that?

”Principal, are you alright?” Lan Yuqin asked.

”No... no problem.”

Yang Shan, with his face covered in dust, hurriedly got up, shook his head, and gave an embarrassed smile. He looked like a mouse that had seen a cat and quickly ran out, in a completely disheveled state.

After Yang Shan had left, Lan Yuqin, still wearing a puzzled expression, turned to Chen Nan. ”What on earth happened?”

”How should I know,” Chen Nan shrugged. ”It must be because I’m too handsome. Seeing me, Principal Yang felt ashamed and suffered a severe blow to his self-esteem. That’s why he ran away crying, I guess.”

Lan Yuqin glared at him, ”Stop fooling around. What really happened? Tell me!”

Chen Nan shook his head with a sigh and started to ignore her, walking away.

”Chen Nan! You... you jerk!”

Lan Yuqin glared at his retreating back, stomped her feet in frustration, and sat back down in her chair.

...

After returning to the classroom, Chen Nan found that all his classmates had arrived, except for Huo Xinya’s seat, which was empty.

”You fool, what did Lan ask you for?” Su Qingqing asked curiously.

For what?

Damn, blame it on me not paying a prostitute!

Chen Nan mumbled to himself and casually lied, ”Nothing much, she was just asking why my English was so poor.”

”Because you’re a fool, duh,” Su Qingqing said cheerfully, not thinking much about it.

Chen Nan forced a smile and shook his head, glancing at Huo Xinya’s seat and couldn’t help asking, ”Why hasn’t Xinya arrived yet?”

”How should I know,” Su Qingqing pouted her lips, feeling a strange sensation, ”You seem to care about her quite a bit, huh? Don’t tell me you’re really having an affair with her?”

Chen Nan really wanted to roll his eyes at her, but thought better of it. For a big guy like him, rolling his eyes would be too effeminate. ”She is my junior sister’s younger sister. With my junior sister not around, who will care about her if not me?”

Su Qingqing scratched her head, ”That makes sense. Why don’t you give her a call then?”

Chen Nan nodded and took out his phone to call Huo Xinya. However, no one answered.

Frowning, Chen Nan continued to call, but after seven or eight attempts, there was still no answer.

Chen Nan felt something was wrong, and couldn’t help but have an ominous feeling. Huo Xinya usually arrived at school quite early, but she was now twenty minutes late, still hadn’t shown up, and no one was answering her phone. Could something have happened?

”Still no answer?” Su Qingqing asked.

Chen Nan nodded, stood up and said, ”I’ll go to her house and take a look. If Teacher Lan asks later, can you explain it to her?”

Su Qingqing, who had also become worried, nodded and said, ”You better hurry. Be careful on the road.”

”Alright.”

Chen Nan agreed, and after leaving the classroom, he quickly ran toward the stairway, only to be spotted by Lan Yuqin in the office, who yelled loudly and chased after him furiously.

Ignoring Lan Yuqin, Chen Nan sped up and within the blink of an eye, he had left her far behind.

Worried that something had indeed happened to Huo Xinya, once Chen Nan left the school gates, he increased his speed to the maximum, heading in the direction of Huo Xinya’s home. Whenever he encountered buildings in his way, he performed wall-climbing moves, just like a martial arts master from the movies, vanishing quickly like a gust of wind.

In just two minutes, Chen Nan had arrived at Huo Xinya’s house.

The somewhat old-fashioned door was ajar and not locked. Chen Nan didn’t bother to knock and just pushed the door open and rushed in.

As soon as he entered the hallway, Chen Nan was shocked. Furniture was shattered all over the place, the room was in complete disarray, clearly indicating a fierce battle had taken place, and there were traces of half-dried blood on the floor that had turned brown.

”Xinya! Where are you?”

Chen Nan was frantic, quickly scanning the hall but didn’t see Huo Xinya anywhere. He rushed toward her room but found no one there either. However, the room was tidy, just as it always had been, not chaotic like the hall.

The fight happened in the hall; she must have been in the hall!

As he thought this, Chen Nan returned to the hall and began searching around. Finally, he found Huo Xinya behind the couch, drenched in blood, lying motionless with a note placed on her.

”Chen Nan, you must be the first to see this note, right? Your woman is dead. Does it hurt? That’s exactly what I want, for you to suffer beyond bearing. And this is just the beginning. I plan not only to kill your woman but also to cripple your martial arts skills, making you unable to live or die, miserably for the rest of your life.”

Upon reading the note, Chen Nan was uncontrollably furious. What had he done to warrant this attack on Huo Xinya?

Although furious, Chen Nan didn’t have time to ponder over it. He urgently grabbed Huo Xinya’s wrist and found her pulse was extremely weak, almost imperceptible.

”Xinya!”

Chen Nan felt a stabbing pain in his heart, as if he had been slashed by a knife.

He quickly propped Huo Xinya up, took out a porcelain bottle from his pocket, poured out a shimmering, fragrant Elixir Pill, and fed it into her mouth. He then sat cross-legged on the ground, began to channel his True Qi, and directed it into her body.

This fragrant Elixir Pill was a Divine Medicine called Heavenly Returning Pill refined by his master Xuan Tianji. Though its effects were not exactly bringing someone back from the dead, it was absolutely an elixir capable of snatching life from the grasp of King Yama.

The Elixir Pill dissolved immediately upon entering and turned into a stream of cool energy that flowed through Huo Xinya’s meridians, nourishing her severely injured body.

With his palms pressed against her back, Chen Nan’s True Qi continuously transferred into her, helping her absorb the effect of the Heavenly Returning Pill.

About five minutes later, Huo Xinya’s pale face gradually regained color, her faint heartbeat started to strengthen, and after her eyelids flickered, she opened her eyes. Seeing Chen Nan, her emotions became a bit agitated, ”Why... why are you here?”

Finally, Chen Nan breathed a sigh of relief and stopped the flow of True Qi.

”I saw you didn’t come to school, and nobody answered your phone, so I came to your house. Who would do such a thing? They really hurt you badly!” Chen Nan glanced at the note, a lethal intent shining in his eyes.

Whoever it was that dared to harm someone close to him, according to Chen Nan’s principle, there were only three words—show no mercy!
