School Beauty's Personal Crazy Young Master

Chapter 100: Chapter 115: Hatred to the Extreme is Love?

Hearing him say that, Qin Yixuan was taken aback, ”You... you know all about it?”

”Do you think I’m an idiot? No one offers favors without expecting something in return, there must be mischief or thievery afoot!” Chen Nan glanced at her, ”You were acting too out of character today, if you didn’t have something to ask for, you probably would have blown your top by now, huh?”

”Uh...”

Hearing him say that, Qin Yixuan actually began to admire herself a bit—her patience today had been incredibly strong. She rolled her eyes at Chen Nan, saying irritatedly, ”Mischief my ass, thieve my head.”

Chen Nan’s face was immediately covered in surprise, ”No way, you would even stoop to mischief over a fart? Miss Police Officer Qin, your sense of decency really has no lower limit!”

Qin Yixuan felt a strong urge to bang her head against a wall, staring at him she said, ”I can’t be bothered with your nonsense. I’ve eaten and I’ve drunk, let’s just cut to the chase; I did indeed have something to ask of you today, and you must help me.”

Chen Nan flicked the ash from his cigarette, smiling, ”Then let’s hear it.”

”I know you’re good at martial arts, so I want you to come with me to handle a case.” Qin Yixuan glanced at him, then continued, ”According to fairly reliable intelligence, the Zhao family—one of the four big families in Ningjiang City—is colluding with the Islanders, manufacturing weapons of mass killing in an underground room of a tea house, posing a severe threat to public safety. So...”

”You want to go and eradicate them?” Chen Nan said, picking up where she left off.

Qin Yixuan nodded, ”The Islanders are what I hate the most. Those traitorous Zhaos, it’s one thing to collude with the Islanders, but to manufacture weapons of mass destruction, I must fulfill my duty as a detective and uproot this cancer!”

Chen Nan had no good feelings toward the Zhao family either; in fact, it could be said he bore a grudge, ”In that case, why don’t you just take your team there, flip the tea house upside down, and sort everything out? Why the need to find me?”

Qin Yixuan shook her head, ”I can’t yet confirm whether this intelligence is accurate or not. If it turns out there’s nothing to be found, then things will become troublesome.”

Chen Nan was silent for a moment. Qin Yixuan was right, this matter was indeed tricky to handle.

”So what do you plan to do?”

”We’ll go in disguise, mix in to find the truth, then look for an opportunity to act,” Qin Yixuan challenged, eyes fixed on Chen Nan, ”Do you have the guts to come with me?”

Chen Nan grinned, ”Reverse psychology won’t work on me. But since I’ve eaten your food, I’ll accompany you to take a look.”

”That’s the spirit!”

Qin Yixuan suddenly perked up, standing up hastily, ”Then let’s go!”

”What’s the hurry? I haven’t finished speaking yet!” Chen Nan said, ”I’ll go with you, but you have to do me a favor in return.”

”No problem, tell me,” Qin Yixuan said without any hesitation, quite boldly.

Chen Nan took out a drawing, which was the portrait of the middle-aged man painted by Huo Xinya, ”Police are the best at finding people, help me find this man.”

Qin Yixuan took the drawing and looked at it, ”No problem, I promise you.”

Chen Nan nodded, then took out a photo of his little sister, ”And this girl, her name is Ye Yiyi. If you can find her, then you don’t have to look for the middle-aged man.”

Qin Yixuan looked at the photo with some curiosity, ”Your girlfriend?”

”Close enough, my sister,” he replied.

Qin Yixuan fell silent for a moment, then nodded, ”I, in the name of the public security bureau, will issue a missing person notice and search nationwide. My capabilities are limited; if she has left the country, I won’t be able to do anything.”

”She probably hasn’t left the country; someone saw a girl resembling her on Wuliu Street just yesterday, but they couldn’t confirm if it was her,” Chen Nan said.

”Alright, then I’ll focus on this province.”

”Thank you!” Chen Nan said sincerely; it was the first time he had thanked someone.

Qin Yixuan was stunned for a moment, staring at Chen Nan, somewhat incredulously, ”You, a complete jerk, actually know how to be polite? Could it be that today the sun rose in the west?”

Chen Nan was speechless.

He wasn’t just being polite, he was truly grateful from the bottom of his heart.

”I’ll take your matter seriously,” Qin Yixuan said, glancing at the door, ”Let’s go, let’s get my business done first.”

Chen Nan stood up, but just as he was about to push his bike to leave, he suddenly grabbed Qin Yixuan, ”Almost forgot, there’s another thing you need to do for me, I need you to get me a driver’s license so I can avoid being caught for unlicensed driving by you again.”

Qin Yixuan furrowed her brows, ”Chen, don’t push it. You initially asked me to do you one favor, now I’ve agreed to help you find two people, and you still want me to get you a driver’s license. I’m not in the Traffic Police Team, where am I supposed to get it from?”

”I don’t care if you’re in the traffic police or not, you just have to get that license.”

”So you’re being unreasonable now?” Qin Yixuan rolled her eyes at him, irritably said, ”Then give me your ID card, and I’ll find time to get you one at the Traffic Police Team.”

Seeing her somewhat amused and helpless expression, Chen Nan chuckled and handed over his ID card.

After settling the bill, Chen Nan was ready to push his bike, but Qin Yixuan pulled him straight into the police car instead, ”That old bike won’t get lost if we leave it there, first come with me to Xiangshan Tea House.”

”What do you mean ’that old bike’? If it weren’t for that bike, you could have been rounded up and dead that night. Besides, I became a robber for once to get my hands on it. It should be cherished.”

Hearing the first part of his remark, Qin Yixuan’s brows knotted, but as she heard the rest, her expression turned cold, ”That bike you have is stolen?”

”This...”

Chen Nan felt guilty, having carelessly forgotten that this lady was a police officer, he quickly pointed forward, ”Let’s go, to Xiangshan Tea House.”

”You robber! If it weren’t for today’s business, I would have caught you on the spot!”

Qin Yixuan glared at him, then started the car heading for the Criminal Police Team.

After returning to the Criminal Police Team, Qin Yixuan summoned her capable assistants, Du Wen and Zhang Wu, gave them a few instructions, and had them lead a team to stand by near Xiangshan Tea House, while she herself changed into a car with a fake license plate and went to the tea house with Chen Nan.

Watching the two depart, the cops at the Criminal Police Team immediately started discussing their relationship, utterly perplexed by the dynamics between Chen Nan and Qin Yixuan.

Even Du Wen and Zhang Wu were full of confusion.

During the last interrogation of Chen Nan by Qin Yixuan, they were present and saw with their own eyes that those two were like fire and water, mortal enemies from a previous life’s grievance. How could it be that in just a few days, they were now in cahoots? Could it be... this was the so-called ’extreme hatred turning into love’ as the legends foretold?
