Chapter 61: Chapter 69 News About Junior Sister

Chapter 61 -69 News About Junior Sister

After the two of them arrived in the corridor, Huo Xinya turned to look at Chen Nan, “Whatever it is, let’s talk here.”

Chen Nan scanned the surroundings. From time to time, students passed by, and because of the presence of Huo Xinya, the great beauty, some onlookers were secretly watching from not too far away, “It’s not very convenient here, is there a place in this teaching building that is quieter and generally unvisited?”

What exactly did he want to say with all this secrecy?

Huo Xinya was somewhat puzzled, paused for a while, then gritted her teeth and nodded, “Follow me.” Then, she turned around and left.

Chen Nan hurriedly followed; he was excited. He was about to learn about his junior sister’s news!

Soon, the two arrived at the rooftop of the teaching building. It was very spacious, equipped with only two water storage tanks, and normally no students would come up here.

Huo Xinya stopped walking and stood about two meters away from Chen Nan, “Alright, just say it. I have to review my classes later.”

Chen Nan looked at her and without speaking, he slowly raised his right hand. His fingers formed the shape of an eagle’s claw and he glanced at a concrete wall nearby, then swung his claw towards it.

In an instant, a white light appeared. Five sharp claw lights shot out, impacting the concrete wall.

“Shi shi shi…”

A harsh sound erupted, and sparks flew. Chen Nan’s claw left five deep scratch marks on the concrete wall, somewhat similar to the ones Huo Xinya had left on the alley wall previously.

“Hu…”

Chen Nan exhaled, calming the True Qi within his body, and turned around.

At that moment, Huo Xinya’s face was full of surprise as she stared at the five claw marks on the concrete wall. She quickly rushed over, reached out to touch the wall, and exclaimed in shock, “Nine Yin Divine Claw!”

“Exactly, the Nine Yin Divine Claw.” Chen Nan said, looking at her, “You really know martial arts.”

Huo Xinya could hardly believe her eyes. Chen Nan was actually capable of using the Nine Yin Divine Claw. Moreover, the claw marks in front of her were deep and smooth, achievable only by a Qui Dao master’s Inner Strength.

Chen Nan was actually a Qui Dao master!

Huo Xinya was greatly shocked. Although she had already noticed Chen Nan knew martial arts when he fought with Xiao Jiji in class, she had never imagined Chen Nan’s power was so formidable.

“How… how do you know the Nine Yin Divine Claw?”

Looking at Chen Nan, Huo Xinya’s face was written all over with surprise.

“This is the unique absolute skill of my Water Curtain Cave; of course, I can use it.” Chen Nan looked at her, somewhat anxiously asking, “What is your relationship with Ye Yiyi?”

“You know my sister!?” Huo Xinya exclaimed.

“Your sister?” Chen Nan became somewhat excited, lunged forward and grabbed Huo Xinya’s shoulders, shaking her vigorously, “She’s my junior sister. I came to Ningjiang City just to find her. Where is she?”

“Hiss…”

Because her shoulders were gripped by Chen Nan, Huo Xinya gasped in pain.

Realizing this, Chen Nan swiftly let go, “Quick, tell me, where is she?”

“She…”

Huo Xinya had just begun to speak when she hurriedly stopped, staring at Chen Nan, “Are you really my sister’s senior brother?”

“Of course, otherwise how could I use the Nine Yin Divine Claw!” Chen Nan was somewhat restless, again grabbing Huo Xinya’s shoulders and shaking them a few times, “Come on, tell me, where is she? Has she been well all these years?”

Huo Xinya fell silent for a while before shaking her head, “I still can’t believe you.”

“Then what do I have to do to make you believe me?”

“My sister told me that she indeed had a senior brother, but her senior brother was an orphan who grew up with her,” Huo Xinya looked at Chen Nan and said, “Although you can use the Nine Yin Divine Claw, you are Su Qingqing’s cousin, which means you are not an orphan.”

“Who said I’m her cousin? That’s just that bratty girl talking nonsense, I’m only her bodyguard,” Chen Nan explained, his emotions calming slightly.

Seeing that Chen Nan did not seem to be lying, Huo Xinya hesitated for a moment and then said, “My sister told me about her childhood. If you can mention a few things about it, I will believe you.”

“Alright!” Chen Nan quickly responded, “When we were young, we pulled a lion’s whiskers, touched a tiger’s buttocks, fought with monkeys, and raced with turtles. Are these enough? I have more.”

Upon hearing this, Huo Xinya’s face lit up with surprise and she hurriedly asked, “About that time you touched the tiger’s buttocks, how did you finally escape?”

“Our master came to save us.”

“What’s your master called?”

“Xuan Tianji,” Chen Nan said, “Do you believe me now?”

Huo Xinya nodded vigorously, “I believe you! It’s just… now I don’t know where my sister is.”

Chen Nan’s expression changed, “Isn’t she with you?”

“No, she left two years ago,” Huo Xinya shook her head, “She left while I was asleep, leaving only a note that said she had a very important task to handle and estimated that she would be back in two years.”

“Two years later? Isn’t it two years later now?”

Huo Xinya pondered for a moment before nodding, “She left on October 20th the year before last, and it’s just twenty-eight days short of exactly two years.”

“Did she mention what the task was?”

“She didn’t say,” Huo Xinya pondered for a while and suddenly said, “That’s right, she also left behind a painting, stating that if she didn’t return in two years, I should deliver the painting to Huaguo Mountain Water Curtain Cave, to you or to our master.”

Chen Nan was suddenly shocked, if she hadn’t returned in two years, and had instructed Huo Xinya to deliver the painting, could it be that the task the junior sister took on was very dangerous and she might not come back?

“Where is the painting?”

“The painting…” Huo Xinya shook her head somewhat helplessly, “was stolen ten days ago.”

Chen Nan immediately furrowed his brows, “By whom?”

“A middle-aged man, his martial arts were very high, he stole the painting and left, and I simply couldn’t catch up.”

“Did you get a good look at his face?”

Huo Xinya nodded, “I saw it clearly, I can draw his face out. Moreover, he is an expert in using poison, and it’s because I was poisoned by him that I’ve lost all my inner strength now.”

Chen Nan understood, no wonder he had not felt any inner strength fluctuations from Huo Xinya earlier, it was because she had been poisoned.

Those who practice inner martial arts and suddenly lose their inner strength become weaker than ordinary people because their bodies can’t adapt, no wonder Huo Xinya had accidentally fallen in the toilet and the classroom earlier.

“Give me your hand.”

Chen Nan glanced at Huo Xinya, reached out directly, and clasped her wrist to feel her pulse, his brows gradually wrinkling, “This is Hua Gong Powder from the Five Poison Sect, the poisoned lose all their inner strength, and if they don’t get the antidote within a fortnight, their martial arts will never be recoverable.”
