Chapter 2628: Chapter 2628: Grandpa Mu Came To Visit

”Doctor Yu Qi, have you seen the news?” Nurse Shin Teng asked.

”News? About what?” Yu Qi asked while tilting her head.

Was it about yesterday’s raid? No way... Others might hear about it soon, but not this fast. She looked at the tablet. It was not news about the raid. It was a headline circulating within the capital’s business and social circles.

”Doctor Tang Yu Qi saved Minxi Village from oppression.”

Reading the title, Yu Qi felt a wave of relief. The raid was likely being kept under a gag order for national security. She was glad the headlines were not about the operation.

Even though they still could not find evidence proving that MicroTech Ventures Organisation was involved in the matter, they believed that once they investigated further, the truth would reveal itself. Therefore, it was better to keep the details of the raid a secret for the moment.

Yu Qi simply smiled as she read. Nearby, Nurse Shin Teng told the other nurses who hadn’t joined the program all about the evil deeds Sheng Logistics had committed against the villagers.

Because it was the night shift, Yu Qi did not receive many patients. After treating the parent of a sick child, she found herself free. She headed to the café to grab a bite to eat.

Long Hui had left after dropping Yu Qi off at the hospital. Due to yesterday’s raid, he had a mountain of work to finish, meaning they would not be able to see each other for a few days.

While Yu Qi was eating, she received a call from Grandpa Mu. It had been a while since she had spoken to him, so she immediately picked up.

”Hello, Grandpa.” Yu Qi said.

”Hello, Yu Qi. How have you been? Are you doing well?” Grandpa Mu spoke in a joyful tone.

”I am fine, Grandpa. How about you?” Yu Qi asked.

”Of course, I am good.” Grandpa Mu replied.

”It is uncommon for you to call me like this.” Yu Qi noted.

Grandpa Mu laughed. ”I am calling because I want to tell you that I am going to Binhai Nation for some business deals.”

”Really? Then, we can meet. When are you going to come over?” Yu Qi was also excited when Grandpa Mu said that he was coming to Binhai Nation.

”Next week. I am going to stay for about ten days.” Grandpa Mu said.

”How many days will your business deals take?” Yu Qi asked.

”Three days, at the most. After that, my time is free.” Grandpa Mu said.

”Great. Let’s meet up then.” Yu Qi said.

”Yes.” Grandpa Mu responded.

Yu Qi’s mood improved significantly after the phone call.

....

The day Grandpa Mu arrived finally came. He was already in Binhai Nation, but he had started in a different city. The business deal he mentioned took place in the Capital City, where he had been for about four days.

Once the deal was completed, Grandpa Mu flew to FINN City to meet with his granddaughter. As he walked out of the arrival hall, he scanned the crowd and spotted her. Her appearance was truly outstanding.

Then, he noticed a man approach her. The stranger was trying to talk to her, clearly wanting her contact information. Even though she politely refused, the man kept persisting.

Grandpa Mu approached Yu Qi with a stern expression. When she turned to him, she broke into a smile. Grandpa Mu smiled back, but the moment his gaze shifted to the man beside her, his eyes turned cold.

”Who is this? Do you know him?” Grandpa Tang asked Yu Qi while his eyes fixed piercingly on the man.

The man was startled by Grandpa Mu’s arrival. The older man’s expression, combined with the presence of the bodyguards behind him, made it clear he was not someone to be trifled with. The man quickly and wrongly concluded that this young girl was a mistress being kept by the wealthy old man.

”No.” Yu Qi answered.

”She already told you to get lost. What are you waiting for?” Grandpa Mu snapped at the man.

”Yeah... Yeah... I will leave right now.” The man nodded frantically.

He immediately backed away from Yu Qi and Grandpa Mu. When he turned back, he saw the two of them hugging. He quickly took out his phone and snapped a photo of the embrace.

Looking at the photo, the man smirked. He decided he would make this ”shameless” old man and his ”young mistress” famous across the internet. He opened his social media. He wrote a caption and attached the photo. Then, he posted it to his social media.

”Disgusting. Spotted this ”sugar baby” clinging to her ”sponsor” at the airport earlier. Money really can buy anything these days, huh? #Shameless #GoldDigger #AirportSighting”

The man never actually thought his post would be seen by many people. At first, only his usual circle of friends chimed in since he was not anyone.

”Whoa, look at the security detail. That old guy is loaded.”

”That woman was beautiful, too.”

”She’s way too pretty to be with a grandpa.”

”How much do you think a night with her costs? Probably more than my car.”

”At least a few thousand. These girls have no shame as long as the credit card is black.”

”That’s way too low.”

Then, the tone of the comment section shifted abruptly.

”Wait... hold on. Is that who I think it is?”

”What? Where have you seen her before?”

”Who? Just another nameless gold digger.”

Then, another user commented.

”Are you blind? That’s TANG YU QI.”

A new comment appeared, attaching a high-definition press photo of Yu Qi standing at a podium during a medical conference.
