Chapter 2612: Chapter 2612: Blocked A Group Of Beggars

The waiter looked at Yu Qi and the others. He was about to ask Yu Qi something when someone suddenly called out to the woman.

”Xinxin, what are you doing here? Why aren’t you going to the table?” The man asked.

”Dad, I blocked a group of beggars. They are trying to dine and dash here.” The woman said repeatedly, sounding rather proud of herself.

The man looked over at the group and almost stumbled backwards in shock. It seemed he had recognised one of them.

”Chairwoman Tang? Colonel Long?” The man called out in surprise.

The woman’s expression froze when she heard her father’s words.

”You are Chairwoman Tang and Colonel Long, right?” The man called out again, wanting to confirm.

Everyone around them also fell silent after hearing how the man addressed them.

The woman named Xinxin blinked several times in confusion.

”Dad... What are you talking about?” The woman asked while frowning.

However, her father did not answer her right away. He ignored her question completely. Instead, he quickly walked toward Yu Qi and Long Hui with a nervous and uneasy expression.

” I apologise, I truly apologise, Chairwoman Tang, Colonel Long.” The man bowed slightly as he spoke.

The waiter who had been standing nearby was stunned. He did not expect the situation to turn out like this.

Yu Qi looked at the man calmly.

”You know us?” Yu Qi asked.

”Of course! Of course! I often saw the news about your business, and I also saw you once at the business banquet a few months ago.” The man explained hurriedly.

The man’s forehead was already covered with sweat.

Meanwhile, the woman was still standing there in disbelief. She did not expect her father to be speaking to them so respectfully.

”Dad, why are you apologising to them. They are clearly...” The woman paused as she glanced at Lu Chong and the others with disdain.

Her father immediately turned around and glared at her sharply.

”If you don’t have anything nice to say, then shut up!” The man snapped at his daughter.

The woman was shocked. It was the first time her father had scolded her like this in public.

”Do you even know who you just offended?” The man scolded the woman again.

The woman shook her head slowly. The man pointed his finger at Yu Qi.

”This is Chairwoman Tang Yu Qi, she owns QinYue Group and this...” He pointed at Long Hui. ”This is Colonel Long Hui.”

The onlookers who watched the drama gasped softly. Even the waiter straightened his posture immediately.

The woman’s face instantly turned pale. Her eyes widened in shock as she looked at Yu Qi and Long Hui again. Of course, she had heard of QinYue Group before because she wore the skincare product from Qi Qi Skincare. Not to mention the HuiQi Jade, she even owned one piece of jewellery from that store.

”But... But they came with those people.” The woman muttered weakly.

Yu Qi crossed her arms and looked at the woman coldly.

”So, what’s about it?” Yu Qi asked calmly.

The woman could not say anything anymore. Her father quickly stepped forward again.

”I sincerely apologise for my daughter’s behaviour. She is spoiled and ignorant. Please forgive her this time.” The man apologised on his daughter’s behalf.

Yu Qi glanced at him. Then she looked at the woman again.

”You called them beggars earlier.” Yu Qi stated.

The woman felt uncomfortable when she heard the sentence.

”They are my guests. I invited them here, and I paid for their meal. So they have every right to be here,” Yu Qi said.

Lu Chong and the others were stunned when they heard Yu Qi say that.

The woman lowered her head slightly, her face turning red from embarrassment.

”I... I don’t know...” The woman said in a low voice.

”Now you know.” Yu Qi replied.

Long Hui, who had been silent the entire time, suddenly spoke.

”If you don’t know something, you should learn to keep your mouth shut.” Long Hui said coldly.

His gaze swept across the woman, making her shiver. She instinctively stepped back. Her father quickly nodded and agreed with Long Hui.

”Yes, yes. Colonel Long is absolutely right.” The man chimed in.

”So, can we enter the restaurant now?” Yu Qi said.

”Yes... Yes...” The man nodded.

He quickly pulled his daughter aside, giving way to Yu Qi and Long Hui.

Yu Qi turned to the waiter.

”I booked a private room under the surname, Long.” Yu Qi stated.

The waiter immediately pulled out his tablet and checked the reservation list. After looking through the list, he quickly found the name.

”Yes, I have your reservation. You booked a private room,” the waiter nodded respectfully. ”Please allow me to lead you to your room.”

”Thank you.” Yu Qi smiled politely.

Yu Qi had booked the private room for them so that they could eat peacefully without everyone staring at them. She then turned to Lu Chong and the others.

”Let’s go.” Yu Qi said.

Lu Chong and the others quickly followed behind Yu Qi. As they walked past the woman earlier, she did not even dare to raise her head.

Meanwhile, several people in the restaurant were already whispering among themselves.

”That woman really kicked an iron plate today.”

”Calling Chairwoman Tang’s guests beggars... she really has guts.”

”She was really arrogant before. Do you know her or her father?”

”I don’t think I know them. Maybe just a small business owner.”

”Probably.”

The woman’s face turned even redder after hearing those whispers. Her father sighed heavily.

”You almost caused a huge disaster today.” The man said quietly.

”I did not know. Those people really gave off that kind of feeling.” The woman muttered defensively.
