Pokémon: My Parallel World Daughters Revealed

The video continued playing.

After Asher finished feeding Aurelia, he was just about to call Selene over when he noticed that she was already drinking from her bottle.

The bottle floated steadily in front of Selene without her touching it.

It tilted itself to the perfect angle as she happily drank mouthful after mouthful.

”You’re pretty good at being lazy.”

Asher poked Selene’s tiny foot.

Selene curled her toes, continued drinking, and narrowed her eyes halfway—

Her entire expression practically screamed, Don’t mind me. I can drink by myself.

[VIP Chat Group]

[Valerie]: Hahaha! Selene looks way too smug drinking milk with psychic power. I really want to pinch those tiny feet.

[Raihan]: Is Selene going to stop holding bowls entirely when she gets older? Just have the rice line up and fly straight into her mouth?

[Tiana]: Selene’s powers are super useful! Later on, she can even use psychic power to tuck everyone in at night. She doesn’t even have to get out of bed!

[Gardenia]: I’m more curious about when Aurelia’s hidden abilities are finally going to show themselves. So far, she looks completely like an ordinary baby.

[Caitlin]: No. Most psychics experience either loss of control or major personality changes when their abilities first awaken. The fact that Aurelia behaves exactly like an ordinary person may actually mean her control over her psychic power is already extremely refined.

[Lucian]: Miss Caitlin has a point. The calmer the surface of the water, the stronger the current beneath it. The fact that Aurelia ”looks ordinary” may be the least ordinary thing about her.

The video continued playing.

Time jumped forward again.

Aurelia and Selene were now three-year-old girls.

Saffron City Pokémon Kindergarten.

Nap time.

Aurelia sat beside the window in the back row of the classroom.

A copy of The History of the Kanto Region lay open in front of her, and she was reading it with complete concentration.

Selene, meanwhile, had somehow acquired a small blackboard.

She stood at the front of the classroom, giving a group of fascinated classmates a ”mini business lesson.”

”Classmates!”

”Today, Miss Selene is going to teach you an extremely useful business technique—how to turn one dollar into one hundred dollars!”

A chubby little boy raised his hand.

”Teacher, isn’t that scamming people?”

”Wrong!”

Selene tapped the blackboard with a piece of chalk.

”It’s called resource integration and value restructuring!”

”For example, say you have 100 League Coins.”

”You buy one Berry outside the kindergarten, squeeze it into juice, then sell the juice to a thirsty classmate for 200 League Coins.”

”That means you’ve earned 100 League Coins!”

The chubby boy counted on his fingers for a long time.

His eyes slowly grew wider and wider.

”If I keep doing that over and over...”

”Wouldn’t I eventually become the richest person in the whole class?”

”Correct.”

”Next, Miss Selene will teach all of you how to become the richest people in the entire kindergarten.”

Selene drew a huge circle on the blackboard.

Then she filled it with arrows.

”Once you’ve earned enough money, you don’t even need to squeeze the juice yourself anymore.”

”You can hire someone else to squeeze it for you.”

Selene slapped the chalk against the blackboard and folded her arms.

”Eventually, you won’t have to do anything yourself.”

”Your money will make more money for you.”

”And then we’ll become the richest people in the entire kindergarten!”

More than a dozen tiny children below her collectively went—

”Ohhhhh——”

Most of them hadn’t understood a thing.

But the way they looked at Selene was already approaching religious reverence.

Selene repeatedly tapped her chalk against the blackboard.

”Listen carefully!”

”Every theory I just explained comes directly from Miss Selene’s legendary life plan!”

”I, Selene, have resolved from the age of three to become the founder of the Sun-Moon Group!”

A little girl raised her hand.

”Miss Selene, what’s the Sun-Moon Group?”

Selene clasped her hands behind her back.

”The Sun-Moon Group is the world’s future number-one business empire—founded by none other than Miss Selene!”

She drew a sun and a moon on the blackboard.

”The sun, moon, and stars shall all belong to me!”

”From Pokémon food to medicine, from Poké Ball technology to spaceships!”

”One day, everyone in the entire world will use products made by the Sun-Moon Group!”

The chubby boy had been completely won over.

”M-Miss Selene...”

”Can we invest now?”

”Excellent question!”

Selene pulled a stack of handwritten cards from her pocket and slapped them onto the teacher’s desk.

”These are subscription certificates for the original shares of the Sun-Moon Group!”

”If you invest now, you’ll become founding shareholders!”

”Whenever the company makes money, you’ll all receive dividends!”

”I want to invest!”

One boy with a bowl haircut raised the cookie in his hand.

”Miss Selene, can I invest this cookie?”

”Of course.”

Selene slapped one of the cards onto his desk.

”Starting today, you are the Sun-Moon Group’s Chief Cookie Officer.”

”What’s a Chief Cookie Officer?”

”The highest-ranking person responsible specifically for cookies.”

Selene explained solemnly:

”Once the company goes public in the future, every cookie will be under your management.”

The boy’s eyes went completely round.

”Then I’m bringing all the cookies from my house tomorrow!”

”Miss Selene! Can I invest Berries?”

”Yes.”

Selene slapped down another card.

”You are now Head of the Sun-Moon Group’s Berry Division.”

”I’m bringing all the jelly from my house!”

”Head of Jelly Strategy.”

”My house has tons of bubble gum!”

”Chief Bubble Gum Consultant.”

The classroom instantly erupted into an investment frenzy.

At the back of the room, the noise had finally become too much even for Aurelia to continue reading her favorite history book.

She looked at her younger sister standing at the front of the classroom, raising her arms dramatically while their classmates lined up to invest.

The corner of Aurelia’s mouth twitched.

In the end—

She said nothing.

By the time nap time ended, Selene’s schoolbag was already stuffed so full that nothing else would fit.

So she shoved the remaining snacks into Aurelia’s bag.

”Big Sis, help me keep these safe.”

Selene patted the bag and smiled brightly.

”This is the Sun-Moon Group’s startup capital.”

”It’s very important.”

Aurelia closed her book.

”Selene.”

”You accepted this much stuff from everyone.”

”What happens if you lose it all?”

”I won’t.”

Selene blinked.

”I’m going to sell these snacks to the other classes tomorrow.”

”Once I make money, I’ll distribute dividends to everyone.”

”What if nobody buys them?”

”I already have a second plan.”

”I’ll sell them to the shop owners outside.”

”Every time they restock, they have to travel really far.”

”If I supply the goods directly to them, they’ve already agreed to give me part of the travel costs they’ll save.”

Aurelia lowered her gaze toward the enormous pile of snacks inside her schoolbag.

Then she looked at Selene’s expression, which practically asked, Aren’t I amazing?

In the end, Aurelia merely replied: ”Mm.”

[VIP Chat Group]

[Mr. Stone]: This child understands the concepts of equity and dividends at only three years old, and she managed to secure both startup capital and sales channels in such a short period of time... Devon Corporation needs talent like this.

[Steven]: Dad, don’t we already have Ruri?

[Mr. Stone]: Ruri already went back to the future. Did you not even notice? You wander aimlessly around the company all day. I’m getting annoyed just looking at you.

[Steven]: ...

[Raihan]: Hahahaha! At this point, I genuinely can’t associate Steven with the words ”heir to Devon Corporation” anymore.

[Wallace]: Those words stopped having anything to do with him a long time ago.

[Asher]: Steven only needs to worry about getting married. Ruri has far more important things to think about.

[Flint]: Fatal Shot

[Volkner]: A finishing blow from your own brother is always fast, accurate, and merciless.
