Chapter 309: The Ultimate Soul Swap! (Membership Extra Chapter)

[This System has decided to hold the Second—”Guess Who I Am?! Ultimate Soul-Swap Stew · Supreme · Super-Duper · Strongest-in-History · Moms-Gone-Completely-Mad Cup!!!”]

[Participants: Misty, Cynthia, Elesa, Diantha, Dawn]

[Competition Rules:]

[1. The System will randomly shuffle the souls of all five contestants. For the duration of the competition, each contestant must do her best to impersonate the original owner of her current body and may not deliberately reveal her true identity.]

[2. Once the competition begins, the System will randomly assign missions to contestants. During each mission, the other contestants and spectators may use the contestant’s behavior to determine ”who this person really is.”]

[3. All contestants may accuse another contestant at any time! If the accusation is correct, the accused contestant is eliminated. If the accusation is wrong, the accuser is eliminated instead. The last contestant remaining will be crowned Champion.]

[Champion’s Reward: Choose one of your future daughters to come to the real world. Duration of stay—one month!]

[Note: All livestream viewers may participate in the guessing game. Anyone who guesses correctly will receive 100× their wagered points. Anyone who guesses incorrectly will lose the points they wagered and receive a random punishment.]

[Countdown: Soul transfer begins in three minutes!]

[VIP Chat Group]

[Steven]: Here we go, here we go!! My instincts are telling me today is going to be another day overflowing with entertainment!

[Volkner]: Soul swapping? This System is getting more ridiculous every time.

[Raihan]: Ohoho! The guessing reward is a hundredfold return this time?! I’m going all in with one thousand points! Hahahaha! I can already see the Universal Wishing Stone waving at me!

[Leon]: Gamblers always end up with nothing in the end.

[Sidney]: Whoever got turned into a catgirl last time, step forward and tell us how it felt.

[Wallace]: ...

[Steven]: It’s okay, Wallace. You looked pretty good as a catgirl. I recorded it.

[Wallace]: Steven, go die.

[Liko]: So... can someone tell me who has the best odds to bet on?

[Skyla]: Obviously my Master! She’s an award-winning actress! Acting is literally her profession! In a game like this, she’s basically smurfing!

[Ash]: I see! Pikachu, then let’s bet on Miss Diantha too!

[Iris]: All in, all in! I can’t wait to see how everyone reacts after their souls get swapped!

[Daisy]: Hehe. I’m actually more excited to see my brother-in-law’s reaction. He’s about to face the ultimate battlefield—five wives with their souls swapped around!

[Lily]: Exactly! If Brother-in-law can’t tell them apart, he might be sleeping on the couch tonight~

[Brock]: Something like this is probably nothing more than a light drizzle to Master Asher.

[Steven]: ??? You stole my line?!

[Countdown complete. Soul randomization begins.]

Meanwhile, in the real world—Asher’s estate.

Five pillars of multicolored light descended from the sky at the same time, enveloping the bed in the master bedroom.

{Cynthia} was the first to wake up.

The moment she sat upright, the sudden shift in her body’s center of gravity made her pitch forward and nearly fall flat on her face.

She looked down.

Her eyes instantly widened.

”What the—?”

”Wh-Why did they suddenly get this big?!”

”What’s wrong? Why are you yelling so loudly?”

{Diantha} sat up beside her.

Her dark-gray hair spilled loosely around her shoulders, while the collar of her nightgown had slipped down past one shoulder.

She picked up a lock of hair and stared at it.

”Huh?”

”When did my hair turn gray?”

{Dawn} rolled over and propped herself up on one elbow.

Her eyes were barely half-open.

”Mmm...”

”What time is it...?”

”Five more minutes...”

”Just five...”

”Stop sleeping! Get up!”

Before long—

All five women were sitting on the bed, staring at one another.

The room remained completely silent for ten whole seconds.

{Misty} was the first to break the silence.

”Everyone saw the competition rules, right?” ℯℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮

{Cynthia} held her forehead.

”Yeah.”

”Sigh... I don’t think I’m very good at this kind of thing.”

{Diantha} cupped her cheeks in both hands, her bare feet swinging back and forth over the edge of the bed.

”Me neither!”

”But for that reward, I’m still going to do my best!”

Just then—

The door opened.

Asher walked inside.

He swept his gaze across the room and found all five wives staring back at him with completely different expressions.

He fell silent for two seconds.

”Breakfast is ready.”

”Come downstairs and eat.”

”Not so fast.”

{Misty} climbed off the bed and poked him in the chest with one finger.

”Hubby, can you tell which one of us is which?”

Asher lowered his gaze toward the finger poking his chest.

Then he looked back up at her.

”Guess whether I’m going to guess.”

”No!”

”You have to!”

{Dawn} hurried over as well.

Looking up at him with Diantha’s face, she somehow managed to reproduce Dawn’s exact expression whenever she was eagerly waiting for a reward.

”This is a test from your wives!”

”Then I’ll go make some coffee first so I can wake myself up.”

Asher turned around to leave.

”YOU’RE NOT ALLOWED TO LEAVE!”

...

Ten minutes later—

The living room.

Everyone sat around the dining table.

Tiana held a fork in one hand, her mismatched eyes darting curiously from person to person.

”Good morning, Moms...”

”Huh?”

She blinked.

”Why do all your faces look weird today?”

”What’s weird about them?”

All five women answered simultaneously.

Even their speaking speed was bizarrely synchronized.

”It’s just...”

”Hmm...”

Tiana tapped her chin.

”You all seem to be sitting unusually straight today.”

”Like you’ve been punished or something.”

”Tiana.”

{Cynthia} cleared her throat.

”Eat your breakfast properly.”

”But I’m telling the truth.”

Tiana scooped a spoonful of porridge into her mouth and continued speaking indistinctly.

”It’s okay, though.”

”Tiana loves watching drama.”

[VIP Chat Group]

[Steven]: I can smell the flames of war.

[Volkner]: Five faces, five souls. This is more exciting than a League Conference.

[Raihan]: Anyone here good at reading microexpressions? Analyze this for us! Who looks the most like they’re acting right now?

[Nurse Joy]: I’m already dizzy. It feels like everyone is acting, but at the same time none of them seem like themselves.

[Brock]: Miss Joy, don’t worry! I’ll help you analyze them! Ever since I was little, my dream has been to see straight into your heart at a single glance—

[Croagunk]: Croag. (Poison Jab lands directly in Brock’s kidney.)

[Brock]: Numb... I’m numb...

[Flint]: Cynthia is definitely acting. That personality is obviously nothing like her. The first real clash didn’t begin until seven minutes into breakfast.

{Dawn} nudged {Misty} beside her with an elbow.

”Misty, why aren’t you eating your favorite fried egg today?”

”Usually, the first thing you do is break the yolk.”

{Misty} paused.

Then she smiled.

”Obviously, you save the best part for last.”

”What do you know?”

”Really?”

{Dawn} tilted her head.

”But I remember you saying just yesterday that egg yolk doesn’t taste good once it gets cold.”

The two stared at each other.

Invisible sparks crackled through the air.

[System Notice: Mission One has been issued!]

[Each of the five contestants must perform one ”breakfast interaction” with Asher. Be careful not to give yourselves away!]
