Martial God Asura

Chapter 6728: The True Ploy

“Am I seeing things? It looks like that old monster isn’t a match for our young master. He’s just getting beaten up now!”

Chu Feng’s attacks were straightforward enough for the Netherworld Sectmembers to see what was happening.

Even Baili Xukong was dumbstruck. A while later, he remarked, “It’s a good thing he’s our young master, or else we would have been obliterated.”

The Netherworld Marshals nodded in agreement. For a long time, they had thought that Chu Feng was beneath them, as he had always fled from them. But seeing Chu Feng beat up the overwhelmingly strong old entity made them realize that he had always wielded the power to obliterate them.

In hindsight, their attempts to kill him felt like a joke.

“What are your thoughts, Baili Zilin?” Chen Hui asked with a mischievous grin.

“I would have slapped the old me to oblivion if I could,” Baili Zilin said, and then he really slapped his own face. He was the one who had sparked the grudge between Chu Feng and the Netherworld Sect, after all.

“Screw you!” the old entity roared.

He angrily hurled a powerful punch toward Chu Feng. This punch harnessed not just spirit power but martial power as well.

Boom!

Martial power burst forth from the punch and enveloped a wide area. It wouldn’t be easy to evade this attack.

But Chu Feng had already retreated to a safe area, as if he had already predicted this. He looked at the old entity in contempt. “Absorbing my energy and using it against it? But as long as I control my force, you won’t be able to defeat me no matter how you absorb my energy.”

He had gotten a grasp of the old entity’s means from his earlier battle with Song Changsheng.

The old entity was nigh unkillable. Even with the formation Chu Feng had placed on the Lightning Flame Sword, the most he could achieve was to inflict pain on the old entity. This was evident from how the old entity was swiftly healing from his injuries right now.

Other than that, the old entity also could absorb energy and use it to counterattack. He had used this ability against Song Changsheng earlier, so Chu Feng was guarded against it.

“I get it now. I admit that your bloodline rampage exceeds my expectations. I don’t have the power to curb you right now. But your bloodline rampage will gradually recede, whereas I am growing stronger with time. If you want to torture me, do your worst. As long as I survive, I’ll return the favor to you severalfold,” the old entity said with a hardened expression.

He opened his arms wide, ready to take anything Chu Feng dished out on him.

But at the same time, the rate at which life force was flowing from the eight galaxies into his body accelerated. He looked at Chu Feng as if to say that the outcome was predetermined and that there was nothing he could do to change it.

He would be the final victor.

“Why aren’t you making a move? Have you given up? Are you planning to escape? Go ahead. Escape. I’m sure you can do it, but I can’t say the same about the others,” the old entity taunted. He was referring to the Netherworld Sectmembers.

God’s Era’s silhouette had shrunk to less than a tenth of its former glory under the blood dragons’ encirclement. It was only a matter of time before it dissipated, and the Netherworld Sectmembers would be in danger then.

“What should we do?”

The Netherworld Sectmembers began to panic once more. They didn’t fear death, but they were worried about Chu Feng.

The old entity was right. Chu Feng might have become powerful, but this battle looked unwinnable for him. The old entity was unkillable and swiftly growing stronger with time. How could one not despair when faced with such an enemy?

“You should go, young master. Don’t worry about us,” Baili Xukong said.

More Netherworld Sectmembers spoke up to persuade Chu Feng to leave.

“Enough.” Chu Feng raised his hand to stop the Netherworld Sectmembers. Then, he turned around and faced them. “I would have already left if I planned to do so. Just stay put and watch how I thrash this old thing.”

His attitude was fearless and confident. He turned to the old entity once more. This time, his formation covered not just his hilt but the entire Lightning Flame Sword.

Bzzt!

Nine-colored lightning enveloped the Lightning Flame Sword as well, further strengthening it.

“Come. Let me have a taste of what you’re capable of,” the old entity sneered.

“I’ll fulfill your wish.”

Chu Feng morphed into a lightning bolt that zapped straight at the old entity. Right before he reached the old entity, teleportation energy suddenly enveloped the old entity, and he vanished into thin air.

The space where the old entity previously stood shattered, and dense blood-red fluid gushed out.

It was an ambush formation! Not only its was incredibly fast to deploy, but it also encompassed a wide area. Chu Feng was instantly devoured by the blood-red fluid.

The fluid swiftly expanded outward, forming a vast ocean in the blink of an eye. Then, it began to swirl at a rapid speed.

“Hahahaha!”

The old entity’s silhouette appeared in distant space. He laughed so hard that he even bent over. “Chu Feng, do I look dumb to you? What made you think that I’d stand still and let you hit me? I might be unkillable, but that doesn’t mean that I’d just let you hit me. It’s not as if I can’t dodge your attack, so why should I suffer for no reason?”

He smirked in glee. “I was merely taunting you to step into my ambush formation. Now, I shall give you a taste of what I’m capable of!”

The old entity was extremely excited. He formed a hand seal, and the ambush formation began to transform.

But the next moment, his eyes suddenly widened in shock. He sensed that Chu Feng had abruptly disappeared from his ambush formation.

“Is that all?” Chu Feng’s voice echoed from behind the old entity.

Pu!

Chu Feng plunged the Lightning Flame Sword into the old entity, causing the latter’s face to distort from sheer pain. But instead of screaming, the old entity formed a hand seal, invoking the means he had prepared.

Weng!

A bizarre light shone from the old entity, and countless uncanny hands shot out from his body to grab the Lightning Flame Sword and Chu Feng.

“Do you see it now? This is what I’m capable of. You must have thought that I was incapable of fighting back. You should know that I’m the greatest world spiritist in the world!” The old entity tried to smile through clenched teeth.

Chu Feng panicked. This was no ordinary formation. Each hand was plastered with a talisman paper that imbued the formation with extraordinary strength. Once he was caught by the hand, there was no way for him to struggle free.

And more hands were surging out from the old entity’s body to drown him.

Worst of all, the hands exerted a bizarre suction force that could devour even his rampaging nine-colored lightning. The old entity was devouring his bloodline power!

Chu Feng’s aura swiftly weakened, and his nine-colored lightning and black aura waned. Conversely, the old entity’s aura grew increasingly stronger.

“If I can devour your attacks, it should go without saying that I can devour your powers, too. While your bloodline rampage is formidable, you shouldn’t underestimate what I am capable of.

“I only allowed you to grab me to mislead you into thinking that you can claim the upper hand in a close-quarter battle. However, that is merely a trick to make you lower your guard and launch bigger attacks. If not for that, my ambush formation wouldn’t have worked so smoothly.

“Chu Feng, you are a tricky one. You have surprised me far too many times. However, you are still much too young to go against me!” ℴ

The old entity was getting stronger as Chu Feng’s lightning power and asura power flowed into his body, while Chu Feng grew increasingly feebler. Everything was going according to his plan. He smiled in glee.
