Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2303: Chapter 1747: Bidding War (Part 2)

However, Bai Xiaosheng was happy to be idle and even deliberately hid himself, so as not to be noticed by Jia Chengshan and his group.

The commotion around Jia Chengshan and his people settled down right before the auction began, and when Jia Chengshan saw Bai Xiaosheng, the host on stage had already asked everyone to be seated, ready for the auction to start.

With their distinguished identities, Jia Chengshan and his group naturally adhered to the rules, sitting in central seats surrounded by others, making it inconvenient to greet Bai Xiaosheng directly. Bai Xiaosheng merely nodded and waved at them from a distance, as a courtesy.

Jia Chengshan and his group had no choice but to let it go.

However, knowing Bai Xiaosheng’s location, Jia Chengshan naturally ordered the team of advisors he brought with him to keep a close watch on him.

The advisors were puzzled and surprised to see that among all the notable figures present, Mr. Jia paid no mind to anyone else, but specifically instructed them to monitor a young man.

Nearby, other attendees were amazed to see Bai Xiaosheng greeting Jia Chengshan and his group from afar.

Shortly after, their attention was captured by the host.

”Ladies and gentlemen, esteemed entrepreneurs, representatives of enterprises, our auction ceremony is about to begin. Please set your phones to silent mode...”

The host, full of smiles, spoke warmly to the audience with politeness.

Approximately five minutes later, the host announced the official start and invited a leader to give a speech. The leader spoke with great skill, being concise, lively, and humorous. His ten-minute speech was met with enthusiastic applause.

Subsequently, the official auction began.

A screen covering the whole wall facing the audience displayed detailed information about the land plots and their starting prices.

The first land plot was commercial in nature, well-positioned, and held high potential value, immediately sparking bidding competition among thirteen or fourteen companies, with half an hour of continuous paddle-raising.

Bai Xiaosheng was quite moved watching this; considering the competition for this plot, the showdown for the highlighted ”Land King” will be a true ”bloodbath.”

The auctions continued throughout the morning, resulting in four land plots being sold, and of course, some plots went unsold.

Jia Chengshan and his group managed to acquire a plot, and according to Bai Xiaosheng’s mental calculation, the price was nearly at its peak.

Throughout the entire morning, Bai Xiaosheng and his team didn’t speak a word nor raised their paddle once.

This frustrated Jia Chengshan’s side; the advisors assigned to watch Bai Xiaosheng felt rather annoyed—

Their eyes were tired from watching; at least raise your paddle once!

Choosing not to bid when prices are high is understandable, but not bidding even at low starting prices is too subdued!

No movements at all, leaving them nothing to analyze!

Fortunately, Jia Chengshan and his people didn’t say much, causing the advisors to become increasingly lax towards monitoring Bai Xiaosheng’s side.

By noon, Bai Xiaosheng and his team had the privilege to visit the agency’s cafeteria for a working meal.

The leaders and representatives from these large enterprises, who accompanied them, were exceptionally courteous, making the dining experience harmonious and orderly.

After the meal, everyone returned to the auction hall.

With a short rest, the auction resumed.

During the two auctions commencing in the afternoon, Bai Xiaosheng and his team merely gathered together to whisper while watching others raise their paddles.

The advisors on Jia Chengshan’s side ”waited eagerly” but couldn’t see any movement from Bai Xiaosheng, leading to boredom.

Finally, at three in the afternoon, the final highlighted land plot came on stage. Nearly all the large enterprise representatives, including Jia Chengshan and his seven members, lit up with eager eyes, ready with their paddles.

As soon as the bidding began, numerous enterprises raised their paddles frequently. Jia Chengshan’s advisors suddenly noticed that the target who had been silent as if asleep, that young man, raised his paddle three times in a row.

”Quick, quick, note this down!” urged the leader of the advisor group.

The price range at which bids were made, how many times the paddle was raised, and the unit price of the land at each bidding were crucial reference data.

Someone beside them was jotting down notes, another was typing on the computer for analysis.

These seasoned individuals, with sufficient data and information, could even infer the target’s available funds and speculate on the target’s psychological price point, adjusting their assessments in real-time and reporting to Jia Chengshan’s group.

The bidding was intense, and Bai Xiaosheng, with a smile, raised his paddle repeatedly, knowing the final selling price would far exceed the current offers.

Regarding being monitored by Jia Chengshan’s advisors, Bai Xiaosheng had long been aware.

They had been watching him all day, he had to give them something to work on.

During the first phase, Bai Xiaosheng actively raised his paddle, and when the second phase began, he tossed his paddle to Dong Tianxiu and her team, ”I’ve bid so much my arm aches, it’s your turn, don’t stop and just keep raising.”

Amidst the excitement, Bai Xiaosheng’s group was also highly active, occupying two-thirds of Jia Chengshan’s advisors with constant new data being relayed to Jia Chengshan.

Jia Chengshan, Lu Tiandao, Zhang Qinglin, and others couldn’t help but cast frequent surprised glances towards Bai Xiaosheng’s side.

”This Bai Xiaosheng really has set his sights on this plot!” Lu Tiandao, although expecting this, couldn’t help expressing astonishment.

”Heh, the more eager he is, the more determined we are to acquire that plot.” Zhang Qinglin remarked with excitement.

Their present confidence justified the correctness of their investment!

Even Jia Chengshan’s eyes brightened with enthusiasm.

It seemed this plot was of significant weight to Bai Xiaosheng and his team, prompting them to secure it even more!

Once the plot was secured, it would become a crucial bargaining chip for them!

”Let’s bid till the end; although Bai Xiaosheng has vast connections, formidable business resources across regions, backed by a world-class consortium, he is still restrained in the corporate field and cannot fully take charge of personal business endeavors. Mobilizing liquid funds isn’t as easy for him! Our seven families and enterprises can independently make decisions and have greater flexibility in fund mobilization than him! This plot is destined to be ours! Then, he’ll have to approach us for collaboration!” Jia Chengshan silently vowed.

Thinking about how Lu Yun, Dong Tianlu, and Wang Xuantian, who held Bai Xiaosheng in high esteem, would be thwarted by him today filled Jia Chengshan with indescribable pride and satisfaction.

After a fierce second round of bidding, two-thirds of the competing enterprises reluctantly withdrew.

The final showdown was about to begin, and Bai Xiaosheng looked at the three beside him with a smile, ”Tired of bidding? Let’s take a break.”

Dong Tianxiu and her team always followed Bai Xiaosheng’s lead, so during the third stage of paddle raising, they simply sat and relaxed, drinking tea while watching others participate.

This left Jia Chengshan’s advisor group bewildered; based on their professional assessment, Bai Xiaosheng and his group had much more funds and intended final price than shown; why did they...stop?

With no data for a long time, Jia Chengshan and his people couldn’t help but urge the advisors, ”What’s going on? Why no analysis data? Are you taking a break?”

The lead advisor wore a bitter expression, quickly responded, ”Mr. Jia, you see over there, they’ve suddenly stopped bidding, we want to analyze but, but there’s nothing to analyze.”

Jia Chengshan and his group looked over at Bai Xiaosheng and his team, indeed, they were leisurely drinking tea.

Jia Chengshan’s gaze turned dark, decisively saying, ”This is a distraction, ignore them, let’s continue bidding!”

Eventually, only four groups, including Jia Chengshan’s, remained in the bidding.

Soon after, it reduced to three.

Then two.

Ultimately, Jia Chengshan’s quote undercut everyone else, with the countdown already starting on the screen.

Suddenly, the countdown vanished, replaced by scrolling text: 108 offered...

Jia Chengshan and his group were about to relax, but their hearts jumped instantly.

Number 108 was precisely Bai Xiaosheng and his team!
