Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 957: Chapter 957: The Ferocious Counterattack

Wei Dashan, Senior Executive at Qifeng Group’s New Industry Department.

Being a Senior Executive may seem like a grand position in other companies, but at Qifeng Group, it ranked only below Yu Qifeng himself.

Of course, this position seemed impressive, but Qifeng Group had more than a dozen Senior Executives. There even was a competitive job posting system. Every two years, a performance review took place, with the capable being promoted and the incompetent demoted.

Therefore, the competition was also very fierce.

This time, Wei Dashan was in Yunhai.

In this bold move, Qifeng Group had taken control of an electronic components factory.

Wei Dashan was sent to oversee the operation.

The reason someone of Wei Dashan’s stature was needed to be in charge was that this electronic components factory was incredibly important!

This factory was the largest and strongest electronic components factory in the province where Yunhai was located. Its products even reached the surrounding provinces.

Many manufacturers, including those of mobile phones, precision instruments, medical devices, and electrical appliances, relied on its products.

Used well, this piece could control many sub-markets, and its influence was immeasurable!

Wei Dashan was assigned here to, according to Yu Qifeng’s plan, gradually adjust the factory’s supply to certain Yunhai businesses, fostering and strengthening allies while striking at competitors.

At the same time, Wei Dashan had to control the situation to avoid market fluctuations.

A heavy responsibility and a long road ahead!

Being in charge of this, Wei Dashan also felt Yu Qifeng’s immense trust in him.

Therefore, he was full of zeal.

”Yunhai Enterprise Association? That bunch of wimps, still dreaming of challenging my Qifeng Group! This time, I’ll start by taking care of a few of their companies, reducing direct supply, and at the same time, using product supply as leverage to make some enterprises and their customers join forces against the Yunhai Enterprise Association’s other businesses, to impose ’sanctions’!”

Wei Dashan also had a deep understanding of the ”enemies” at Yunhai and was thinking of hitting them hard.

Today, he heard that Yu Qifeng, Chairman, and Song Zhe, major shareholder, were coming, which made him happy.

Wei Dashan also planned to submit a report to the two in the evening, showing that progress was smooth on his end and showcasing his capabilities.

”Chairman Yu is always generous in rewarding those with ability. He even told me privately that if I perform exceptionally, I could receive a share in the factory stock!”

Sitting in his new office, Wei Dashan had endless daydreams about the future.

While he was pondering, an assistant from Qifeng Group hurriedly ran in, holding a stack of printed materials in his hand.

”Something’s wrong, President Wei!” The assistant even forgot to close the door as he exclaimed anxiously.

”What’s the matter! Why the panic!”

Wei Dashan scowled and glared, pointing with his hand.

The assistant hurriedly turned around, closed the office door, and then rushed to Wei Dashan.

”What happened?!” Seeing his assistant’s state, Wei Dashan’s attention became focused as he asked.

Just like Yu Qifeng’s trust in him, he also trusted this assistant very much. He even entrusted this person with managing the entire elite team and handed over all aspects of the factory work.

”There’s a problem with the supply of a common raw material for several core products of our factory!”

The assistant placed a piece of paper in front of Wei Dashan.

”How could that be!” Wei Dashan frowned and took the paper to read.

Such raw material supplies were usually from long-term, reliable suppliers with comprehensive contracts in place.

A problem? That’s a joke!

”A private testing agency in Yunhai reported to the relevant authorities that there might be potential safety vulnerabilities in the transportation and storage by the supplier!”

”Third-party testing agency?” Wei Dashan was stunned.

Why would a profitable institution do this for free? Were they bored?

”Impossible, isn’t there a standard set for suppliers’ transportation and storage? Could there be vulnerabilities?” Wei Dashan didn’t believe it.

”This raw material is newly refined, but the standards haven’t kept up...”

”Did the officials accept the complaint?”

”We can’t just ignore it; a Yunhai media outlet, together with its peers, is monitoring this! Whether there’s an issue or not, we have to halt operations for a check, which will take a week. But we need to ramp up production this week because a local business in Yunhai has placed a large order. If we breach the contract, the penalty is triple the order amount!”

Wei Dashan’s heart chilled, sensing something was amiss!

”You! Hurry up and find me the information on that third-party inspection agency, the media outlet, and the business that placed the order...” Wei Dashan said urgently.

”I’ve already got it!” The assistant quickly handed over several sheets of paper.

Wei Dashan glanced at them, and his pupils shrank instantly.

”All these are enterprises of the Yunhai Enterprise Federation!”

Wei Dashan recognized it!

”It’s not just a problem with the raw materials, President Wei. There also is a training institution that’s offering double the monthly salary to poach some of our key technicians, claiming they will be training employees for other businesses elsewhere...” the assistant continued.

The sheets handed over clearly listed the information of that enterprise.

It was yet another enterprise belonging to the Yunhai Enterprise Federation!

Wei Dashan’s eyes widened again.

”There are other problems too...”

Sheets of paper fell from the assistant’s hands, one after another, as a series of big and small problems followed.

Wei Dashan was dumbfounded.

What is the Yunhai Enterprise Federation up to!

Are they ants trying to take down an elephant?

Not just Wei Dashan, almost simultaneously, all of Qifeng Group’s initiatives in Yunhai were hit with numerous challenges and troubles.

If they were a snake, these issues wouldn’t strike at its head or tail but precisely at its vital spot.

Yu Qifeng and the others, filled with a sense of achievement, were waiting for good news, ignorant of the fact that their senior personnel in Yunhai were frantically firefighting.

And none of them reported the issues to Yu Qifeng right away.

Just as Officer Bai Xiaosheng said, these people were elites, and elites should take on the worries of their boss. Even if they couldn’t solve the problems completely, they needed to contain them first. Otherwise, they wouldn’t be able to justify their own roles.

As a result, Yu Qifeng’s side ended up being the last to know.

However, Han Dong was receiving ”good news” frequently, with a clear understanding of everything.

”Good, you’re doing great! Keep up the good work!”

”They want to talk with you? Don’t bother with them! Don’t talk to them!”

”They’ve come to our door three times already, with the general manager stepping in? Tell them, if they really want it, to raise their offer, triple! No, make it five times! After all, our investment wasn’t small, we’re not running a charity. We naturally need to earn back the principal, the profit, and the hardship fee all rolled into one!”

”What? They agreed? What will you do now? Idiots, add more to the price!”

Han Dong had a row of phones in front of him, each ringing one after another. He was busy enjoying the calls and was gleefully giving advice to all parties.

The bottom line had already been discussed with him by Officer Bai Xiaosheng, so Han Dong could make decisions right then and there.

Beside him, Han Chengren and Han Minghao were watching with eyes wide open.

One could imagine what a mess Qifeng Group was in by now!

”Indeed, such cutthroat strategies; it’s utterly ruthless!” Han Minghao murmured, his face red with excitement.

”And they’ve definitely not crossed the line, leaving no room for criticism. That’s amazing. Son, learn well!” Han Chengren said.

Han Minghao nodded vigorously.

Han Dong was so busy his two hands weren’t enough, but he didn’t want his son or grandson to help.

Not because he doubted their abilities, but because—

This work was too enjoyable!

Seeing the two of them still standing there foolishly, Han Dong suddenly became annoyed.

”What are you two doing, just standing there idle!” Han Dong snapped, ”Stop staring and get going. Inform Officer Bai Xiaosheng of the situation right away!”

”Oh, right!”
