Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 953: Chapter 953: Yu Qifeng’s Confidence

A battle without the smoke of gunfire began to unfold.

Bai Xiaosheng and Yu Qifeng, each laid out their pieces.

In fact, there was another party in this storm, a neutral party—Yunhai City Government Office.

Originally, Song He was assigned by Chu Xingyun to discuss investment and cooperation matters with the representatives from Qifeng Group and some local enterprise representatives. However, he didn’t stay for more than two minutes and had not even reached the predetermined private room before he returned.

He left behind nothing but a bunch of ”diplomatic phrases”.

Upon returning to the city government office, Song He made a beeline for Chu Xingyun’s office to give a detailed report to Mayor Chu.

Mayor Chu listened intently to Song He’s elaboration and smiled without saying a word.

”Mayor Xingyun, are we really not going to intervene?”

With no outsiders present, Song He couldn’t help but ask.

”Intervene? How do you propose we intervene?” Chu Xingyun replied with a smile.

Song He was taken aback and said, ”Tell them not to run amok in Yunhai!”

After saying that, Song He shook his head first.

Who would that warning be for?

To warn Qifeng Group?

They might stop investing!

Perhaps, there would be rumors outside that Yunhai imposes economic barriers and offers a terrible investment environment.

To warn the local enterprises?

Even less likely!

Turning your elbow outwards and chilling the hearts of your own people is an even bigger taboo.

To warn both parties?

You’d offend both sides!

In a market environment, sometimes that’s how it is, with the city government caught in a difficult position.

”The best course of action we can take in this matter is to simply observe,” Chu Xingyun said. ”Everything you’ve thought of, Bai Xiaosheng has already discussed with me. Moreover, he analyzed it meticulously from the perspective of pros and cons! If I repeat his words, you too would make the same decision in that situation!”

Mayor Chu was extremely confident.

Indeed, it was Bai Xiaosheng who had called the mayor!

Song He sighed inwardly, he had seen Bai Xiaosheng walking out from the inner part of the private room with a mobile phone in hand at the time.

When he received the call from Mayor Chu, he had guessed as much.

To think he could persuade the decisive Mayor Chu in such a short time!

Song He wondered what Bai Xiaosheng had said!

Apart from surprise, he was actually quite eager to hear it himself.

However, of course, he couldn’t possibly ask Mayor Chu Xingyun to repeat it, so he could only think about it.

”The city government will not forcefully control the market, nor will it sway the decisions of enterprises,”

”However, the city government will still perform its regulatory functions, not permitting either party to overstep the boundaries! Not allowing the market to be thrown into chaos!”

Mayor Chu set two tones, ”Remember these two points, and let them handle it.”

”Perhaps, this is an opportunity for Yunhai’s transformation as well,”

Chu Xingyun’s smile contained a gleam of anticipation.

Song He looked at Chu Xingyun with immense admiration.

A long time ago, he had been impressed by Mayor Chu’s foresight and courage. This kind of great resolve and determination, to ”watch as the winds and clouds change and remain unmoved,” to ”let the storm rage on while claiming dominion over the universe,” was not something ordinary people possessed.

”It’s just that, I’m still worried about affecting Qifeng Group’s investment in Yunhai. After all, it’s a large enterprise. If they decide not to come, it would truly be a pity!” Song He couldn’t help saying.

He was afraid that this dispute would turn into baseless consumption, that enterprises from outside would no longer come, and local enterprises would suffer a heavy blow.

Leaving Yunhai and the city government with nothing but endless troubles.

However, Song He believed that Mayor Chu had certainly foreseen this point.

Chu Xingyun looked at Song He and smiled.

He was well aware of what his chief secretary was thinking.

”Song He, do you think that just a few words from Bai Xiaosheng would persuade me?”

Chu Xingyun said with a smile, ”Don’t worry, if Qifeng Group really doesn’t come, perhaps, we in Yunhai will gain even more!”

This statement made Song He start.

”A big market shark is about to arrive!”

Chu Xingyun said no more.

The next day, in the morning, Yu Qifeng of Qifeng Group gave Song He a phone call.

Yu Qifeng first expressed his apologies for the previous day’s events, then made some probing statements.

Song He, following Mayor Chu Xingyun’s prior instructions, conveyed the attitude of the Yunhai City Government Office truthfully.

The Yunhai City Government would not interfere with the normal competition between enterprises, provided they don’t touch the law and red lines.

He also mentioned a welcome for Qifeng Group to come invest, promising that as long as the investment was in place, related favorable policies would follow suit.

Furthermore, he emphasized that if it was fair competition, the city government would not interfere with either party’s ”market behavior.”

While making this call, Yu Qifeng was outside a meeting room where various shareholders of the Qifeng Group were gathered.

No sooner had he hung up than Song Zhe came out, hurrying to his side, all but complaining, ”Mr. Yu, why are you still hesitating? Everyone inside is getting anxious!”

Yu Qifeng also smiled, ”It’s nothing, just confirming things one last time!”

”Then hurry up, today you’re the main character, I fully support you, this matter is a hundred percent certain to pass. In two days, we will be able to show our might in Yunhai! Show those bumpkins a lesson!” Song Zhe was very confident.

Although he always spoke of the supremacy of strength and the uselessness of stratagems, he had seen Yu Qifeng’s tactics and trusted them greatly.

”Good!” Yu Qifeng smiled at Song Zhe and nodded.

Yu Qifeng was a ”strategist-type” businessman; he had already prepared a detailed ”contingency plan” for Yunhai, specifically for dealing with ”strong adversaries.”

If this incident hadn’t occurred, that contingency plan might have ended up never being used, to be admired privately by Yu Qifeng behind closed doors.

Now, with the contingency plan coming into play, in his heart, Yu Qifeng even harbored some anticipation.

It was time for the business world to witness once again the fearsome might of Yu Qifeng and the Qifeng Group!

With a glint in his eye, Yu Qifeng stepped into the meeting room.

The meeting lasted until four o’clock in the afternoon.

The resolution passed, quite simply.

Yu Qifeng was explaining his contingency plan to the group’s senior executives, detailing the five-step strategy, which included ”Feinting,” ”Forceful Attack,” ”Expansion,” ”Consolidation,” and ”Finishing.”

Each phase was exquisitely crafted, and even a fool could see the power in them after Yu Qifeng’s explanation.

These tactics also set the shareholders present ablaze with excitement.

Song Zhe kept banging on the table, enthusiastically saying, ”Our Mr. Yu has brilliant methods, those bumpkins in Yunhai don’t stand a chance!”

Song Zhe’s words sparked a chorus of agreement.

”Exactly, Mr. Yu truly understands the art of business, masterfully wielding the Thirty-Six Strategies of commerce!”

”Just the first wave of feinting alone will make those enterprises become overdefensive and stray off course, by the time they realize what’s happening, it will be too late!”

”Just the overt strategy alone is this formidable, it’s truly worthy of Mr. Yu!”

”This time, our Qifeng Group is bound to triumph right from the start in Yunhai!”

Every shareholder in attendance applauded Yu Qifeng’s tactics, praising them incessantly.

Yu Qifeng watched everyone with a confident smile on his face.

”Since everyone thinks there are no problems, that’s great. In two days, we will launch our first round of offense in Yunhai!”

In Yu Qifeng’s eyes burst a confident assurance of victory!
