Transmigrated as The Best Female Character of the Year

A significant number of people had already switched their allegiance to suck up to Lana Sheffield. Rose Shaw had no idea what Christopher Sterling was so busy with. He rarely managed the company, and even now, with Starfall putting so much pressure on Stellaris, he hadn’t taken any countermeasures.

Rose Shaw tried her best to restrain herself, telling herself not to get involved and to stop paying attention to Christopher Sterling’s personal life.

She poured all her focus into Melody Monroe. As for what new talent the company had signed, she knew nothing at all.

Still, this was a Stellaris matter, so Rose Shaw wouldn’t just stand by and do nothing.

She had never even heard of this Eileen Scott, who must have joined the company recently.

People were whispering among themselves, wondering what Eileen Scott’s background could possibly be.

To dare speak to Melody Monroe so directly... She must not be afraid of Melody’s sponsor.

Everyone else might be gossiping, but none of them had Eileen Scott’s audacity to say it to her face.

”Who’s your agent?” Rose Shaw asked Eileen Scott.

”It’s not you, that’s for sure. Rose Shaw, just how much is Melody Monroe paying you to wait on her hand and foot? Don’t you think you’re disgracing your title as a ’gold-medal’ agent?”

The moment Eileen Scott’s words came out, a collective gasp went through the crowd.

To dare talk back to Rose Shaw like that!

’Has this Eileen Scott gone insane?’

’Doesn’t she know Rose Shaw’s standing in Stellaris?!’

”Are you aware of the rules at Stellaris Corporation?”

”You mean the rules you set up? Don’t try to use them to pressure me. Besides, those rules are obsolete now! Rose Shaw, you should go back to the office when you have time and get familiar with the current system at Stellaris. Wouldn’t want you to break the rules yourself and not even know it.”

’Holy shit! This Eileen Scott actually dared to lecture Rose Shaw!’

Rose Shaw took out her phone and dialed a number. ”Help me check something. Is there a newly signed artist at the company named Eileen Scott? Who’s her agent?”

”Rose, Eileen Scott is Mrs. Sterling’s cousin! You haven’t been at the office much recently, so you wouldn’t have known.”

Melody Monroe was standing right beside Rose Shaw and overheard the call.

She strode forward, raised her hand, and slapped Eileen Scott across the face!

The slap left even Rose Shaw stunned.

The people around them looked as if they were frozen in place.

”Melody Monroe! You! How dare you hit me!” Eileen Scott clutched her cheek, glaring furiously at Melody Monroe.

”And why wouldn’t I dare? You dared to humiliate me in front of all these people. Consider this slap a gift in return.” Melody hadn’t returned the slap from Lana Sheffield that day. Besides the fact that Lana was pregnant, she had also been holding back.

’But who the hell was Eileen Scott?’

’Lana Sheffield’s cousin?’

’If I don’t teach Eileen Scott a lesson today, who knows what kind of trouble this little wave-maker will stir up next.’

”I humiliated you? This is all because of what *you’ve* done! Have you no shame?”

”Of course I have shame! That’s why I had to hit you! You just called me a mistress. Can you show me any proof?”

”Proof? The fact that someone like you can own such an expensive necklace, get Asher Archer to do your styling, and wear that formal gown? Everyone saw it. Don’t you have any idea what your place is?”

”If receiving gifts from people is a crime, then I have nothing more to say! Do you even know who gave me those gifts?”

”I...”

”You’d better think this through. Ruining my reputation is one thing; at worst, you get a slap. But if you offend someone else with your baseless accusations, you’ll be facing consequences you can’t even begin to imagine.”

Eileen Scott hesitated, but in the end, didn’t dare to speak.
