Transmigrated as The Best Female Character of the Year

President King scooted closer to Melody Monroe. Melody subtly edged away, picked up a wine glass from the table, and poured one for President King. ’Rose should be here soon, right?’ she thought anxiously.

President King immediately beamed, thinking Melody had finally seen the light.

”Thank you so much for your support, President King and Director Wendy,” Melody said, standing up and raising her glass. ”I’d like to propose another toast.”

President King’s hand suddenly jerked, and the glass tipped toward Melody, the wine splashing all over her.

”My hand slipped. Did it get you wet?” President King asked as he immediately reached for her.

Melody instantly dodged backward. ”It’s fine. Please excuse me for a moment.”

”Do you need to change? My hotel is right nearby,” President King asked directly.

”I still need to wait for Rose, she’ll be here any minute. I’m just going to the restroom.” Melody left quickly. Following a server’s directions, she found the restroom.

A large patch of her light-colored dress was soaked. She immediately turned on the faucet, rinsed the wine stain, and then pulled out her phone to check the time.

It had been over twenty minutes. ’Rose has to be here soon, right?’

There was absolutely no way she’d let herself be violated by President King just for a lead role!

Thankfully, she knew Rose Shaw very well.

As long as one of her actors wasn’t willing to be taken advantage of, Rose Shaw would never force the issue and would even staunchly defend them. All Melody had to do was wait in the restroom until Rose arrived.

If she just left now, she’d only cause Rose to offend these people. Once Rose arrived, she would handle everything perfectly.

Just as she was about to call Rose Shaw to confirm her location, the restroom door was suddenly pushed open.

The moment she saw President King’s corpulent figure, all the color drained from Melody’s face!

”President King! This is the women’s restroom.”

”I just came to see how you were. Your clothes are all wet.” President King advanced on Melody and grabbed her wrist.

”President King! Let go of me! If you don’t stop, I’ll scream for help!”

”So you don’t want the lead role? You don’t want to be with me? You’d better think this through! Countless women would kill for an opportunity like this!”

”That’s right, I don’t want the role!”

”You...” President King’s expression immediately turned savage. ”You don’t want it? You’re just a bitch, acting all high and mighty in front of me! I’ve set my sights on you, and I’m taking you today!”

As he spoke, President King lunged at Melody!

Suddenly, he was yanked back from behind.

Staring at his disgusting face, Melody slapped him hard across it!

President King was stunned by the slap, seeing stars.

Evan Fairchild, holding President King up by his collar, had a flicker of surprise flash in his eyes. He, too, was startled by the slap.

Melody shook her stinging hand. When she looked up and met Evan Fairchild’s icy gaze, she jumped.

’She’d thought a server from the bar had heard the noise and come to her rescue.’

But it was Evan Fairchild!

”You dare hit me!” President King struggled furiously. ”Who the fuck is meddling in other people’s business! Believe it or not, I’ll have someone break that hand of yours! Now let me go and get the hell out!”

Evan Fairchild dragged President King to one side and flung him away.

President King’s body crashed into a stall door, which burst open as he fell backward into the toilet.

Melody froze.

Evan Fairchild suddenly strode over and stomped on President King’s head!

’Her jaw dropped. Evan Fairchild really was ruthless.’

A perfect shoe print was stamped on President King’s face. His nose was clearly broken, blood streaming from it.

”Fuck! You dare kick me! Who the hell are you! I’ll fucking kill you!”
