Transmigrated as The Best Female Character of the Year

Raymond Ford was cast as the female lead, Holly Summers.

Melody Monroe was cast as Willow Lynch.

Hailey Paige was cast as the supporting female character, Anya Hale.

The female lead, Holly Summers, lost her mother to illness. Her father remarried a cruel, ruthless woman who was always trying to drive Holly out of the Summers Family.

Anya Hale is actually Holly’s paternal half-sister. Worried that Holly might use this to fight for the inheritance if she found out, Anya has always kept her true identity a secret, going by her mother’s surname.

Zane Langdon plays Julian Hale, a big name at Trillium University. Although still a student, he already has a company to his name. He’s also a second-generation heir from an immensely powerful family.

Willow Lynch also comes from a wealthy family. She and Julian Hale attended the same school abroad, where they developed feelings for each other.

After Julian Hale returned to China, Willow Lynch decided to return as well.

She didn’t tell Julian before she came back, as she wasn’t sure if he liked her. However, just three months after they became a couple, she passed away from an illness.

She entered Julian Hale’s world only to vanish like a beautiful, ephemeral bloom.

Yet she would go on to influence the rest of his life.

The female lead, Holly Summers, is a top student who embodies every possible virtue. Julian Hale greatly admires her.

After Willow Lynch passed away, Holly Summers entered his world.

Willow Lynch is written to be the perfect first love of every man’s dreams—as beautiful as a cloud, but ultimately a wisp of mist, destined to evaporate and vanish.

She is the polar opposite of the second female lead, Anya Hale.

Director Wallace was a little worried about whether Melody Monroe could pull off the role.

After all, it was a script adapted from a novel. Bringing a character from a fictional world into live-action placed exceptionally high demands on the performance.

For a role with so little screen time to be so perfect... it was nearly impossible to find a suitable actress. Any who might have fit the bill were already A-list or B-list stars.

...

Raymond Ford was leisurely eating fruit when a staff member hurried over to him.

”Raymond, get ready. It’s time to shoot.”

Raymond Ford put down his fruit, feeling a flicker of doubt.

’Didn’t Hailey Paige already leave? Is she back already?’

’That’s not like Hailey Paige at all.’

Sometimes, one person’s reputation and status are built upon the contrast with another.

Just like the dynamic between him and Hailey Paige right now.

Hailey Paige’s very presence served to make him look better.

Whether it was in looks, professionalism, or personality, Hailey Paige’s actions on set had inadvertently won him a great deal of favor with the crew.

”I thought they were changing the scene? Why are we starting so soon?” he asked the staff member.

”Director Wallace said there’s no need to change it. We’re resuming the shoot, just with a few adjustments.”

”Okay, I’ll be ready in a minute.”

...

Hailey Paige had just reached her dressing room and hadn’t even had time to take off her makeup when she heard the news about resuming the shoot. Her face immediately fell.

”They just said we were done for the day, and now they want to shoot again? Are they doing this on purpose to mess with me? I’m not doing it!”

”Oh, for crying out loud, can you please not throw a fit?” Ryan Miller soothed her gently, then immediately turned to the crew member who brought the news. ”Do you know why? Didn’t Director Wallace just say we were done for the day?”

”I heard they made some adjustments. Miss Paige only needs to do one more take.”

”See? It’s just one take. It won’t take long. Let’s go. We’ll finish it quickly so we can go home and rest,” Ryan Miller said, pulling Hailey Paige toward the set.

Only then did Hailey Paige walk out, her reluctance written all over her face.

The moment she arrived on set, she froze, stunned by the sight of the person standing next to the director.
