War Sovereign Soaring The Heavens

The Leader of the Heavenly Dao Alliance was one of the two Eight Star Gods of War in the alliance; he was also the strongest person in the alliance.

Duan Ling Tian also knew that the Leader of the Heavenly Dao Alliance was also considered one of the stronger Eight Star God of War. It was not surprising. Otherwise, how could the leader of the alliance lead the Heavenly Dao Alliance, a force that many people wished to join? To join the Heavenly Dao Alliance, one had to be a Four Star God of War at least.

“You’re the Purple-clad Nobleman? You’re quite young…”

Although Duan Ling Tian had heard a lot about the Leader of the Heavenly Dao Alliance Leader, he was still surprised when he finally met the latter.

Shangguan Yun Feng, the Leader of the Heavenly Dao Alliance Leader looked rather young. His features were rather delicate. He was dressed in a long yellow robe with golden trimmings, and he was fanning himself with a golden fan. He was one of the powerhouses in the Nine Serenities Battlefield’s Nine Eastern Territories. Due to his presence, many people did not dare to provoke the Heavenly Dao Alliance.

The Nine Serenities Battlefield was divided into four regions: the eastern, western, northern, and southern regions. Then, the four major regions were further divided into nearly 100 territories. However, the center region of the Nine Serenities Battlefield was the most powerful; some of the powerhouses there were Nine Star Gods of War so many people did not dare to act recklessly there.

On the other hand, there was hardly any Nine Star God of War in the eastern region of the Nine Serenities Battlefield.

However, most Nine Star Gods of War who did not belong to any alliances were disinterested in the four major areas. To them, it was meaningless to conquer these places. After all, the gains were nothing in their eyes.

“I’m Shangguan Yun Feng, the leader of the alliance,” Shangguan Yun Feng introduced himself with a faint smile.

“I’m Duan Ling Tian,” Duan Ling Tian responded with a faint smile. He had a good first impression of the amiable-looking Shangguan Yun Feng.

Shangguan Yun Feng was clearly taken aback by Duan Ling Tian’s reply. He asked, “Duan Ling Tian? I wonder which Devata Realm you came from and which force you belong to?”

Before Duan Ling Tian could reply, Meng Shan, the seventh Guardian of the Heavenly Dao Alliance, said, “Leader, the Purple-clad Nobleman said he’s from the Solitary Destructive Heaven and that he belongs to the Heavenly Palace of the Solitary Destructive Heaven.”

Following that, Meng Shan continued saying through Voice Transmission, “Leader, everyone knows the strongest person after the Heavenly Emperor of the Solitary Destructive Heaven in the Heavenly Palace of the Solitary Destructive Heaven is Meng Luo. Previously, when Meng Luo came to the Nine Serenities Battlefield, he was only ranked as a top Six Star God of War. In my opinion, the Purple-clad Nobleman is a spy sent by other alliances. If we let him join us, we shouldn’t let our guards down against him…”

However, Shangguan Yun Feng did not seem to hear Meng Shan’s words as he stared at Duan Ling Tian in a daze. After a brief moment, under Meng Shan’s confused gaze, he cupped his fists together at Duan Ling Tian and said with a hint of respect, “As it turns out you’re the Young Master of the Heavenly Palace of the Solitary Destructive Heaven. Please forgive my lack of courtesy earlier…”

Meng Shan was dumbfounded. He blurted, “Are you sure, Leader?”

When Meng Shan left the Nine Serenities Battlefield a few decades ago, he had learned that the Heavenly Palace of the Solitary Destructive Heaven had gained a new Young Master. He had also heard that the Young Master of the Heavenly Palace of the Solitary Destructive Heaven was an ascender who was not even 1,000 years old. However, the purple-clad young man standing in front of him was a top Seven Star God of War. How could there be a top Seven Star God of War who was not even 1,000 years old? Based on what he knew, even the strongest young genius in the Devata Realms’ Battle of the Geniuses was only comparable to a top Six Star God of War.

Meng Shan said skeptically, “The Young Master of the Heavenly Palace of the Solitary Destructive Heaven is only an ascender who’s…”

Shangguan Yun Feng interjected, “Meng Shan, you’ve not left the Nine Serenities Battlefield recently, right?”

Meng Shan nodded. Indeed, it had been several decades since he last left the Nine Serenities Battlefield. During his last trip out of the Nine Serenities Battlefield was also the time he heard that the Heavenly Emperor of the Solitary Destructive Heaven had finally accepted a true disciple.

Shangguan Yun Feng nodded as he said, “That’s why it’s not surprising that you’re unaware that this young man is the true disciple of the legendary Heavenly Emperor, Feng Qing Yang. During the Battle of the Geniuses, Heavenly Emperor Feng Qing Yang’s true disciple revealed his strength comparable to a top Seven Star God of War when he defeated two top Six Star Gods of War at once…”

Shangguan Yun Feng looked at Duan Ling Tian with a hint of admiration as he said, “I’m afraid it won’t be long before everyone in the Nine Serenities Battlefield learns of the Young Master’s strength…”

Duan Ling Tian was slightly surprised. He did not expect Shangguan Yun Feng to know so much about him. He thought to himself, worried, ‘I wonder if Shangguan Yun Feng has connections with the Title Temple? No, it doesn’t matter. Even if he has connections with the Title Temple, it’s unlikely that he knows about the Five Divine Elements. After all, Wu Hong Qing wouldn’t let this matter leak out…’

Duan Ling Tian sighed in relief inwardly when he reached the end of his thoughts. There should not be much problem with him joining the Heavenly Dao Alliance. All he needed to do was guard against Shangguan Yun Feng. If there were any problems, he would leave and join another alliance under a different name.

“What?!” Meng Shan was shocked by Shangguan Yun Feng’s words. He furrowed his eyebrows and asked, “During the Battle of the Geniuses, he revealed his strength that was comparable to a top Seven Star God of War by defeating two participants who were as strong as Six Star Gods of War at once?! Leader, did the age limit for the Battle of the Geniuses rise?”

In Meng Shan’s opinion, the age limit of the Devata Realm’s Battle of the Geniuses must have risen. After all, during the previous Battles of the Geniuses, there were hardly any participants with strength comparable to Six Star Gods of War, let alone participants as strong as a Seven Star God of War. This was the only possibility he could come up with; the alternative was too unbelievable, after all.

Shangguan Yun Feng shook his head. “The age limit is the same. At that time, everyone was surprised by the appearances of participants with strength comparable to Six Star Gods of War and Seven Star Gods of War… Moreover, the two participants who were as strong as a Six Star God of War came from a Realm of Gods and the Title Temple respectively.”

Meng Shan was further shocked by these words. It took him quite a while to regain his senses.

At the same time, Shangguan Yun Feng looked at Duan Ling Tian and asked tentatively, “Young Master, you must be a Ten Directions Celestial Emperor now, right?”

Shangguan Yun Feng was naturally aware that the winner of the Devata Realms’ Battle of the Geniuses was rewarded with the Exploding Element Celestial Fruit. In his opinion, Duan Ling Tian must have already consumed the Celestial Fruit and become a Ten Directions Celestial Emperor.

“Yes.” Duan Ling Tian nodded slightly.

Although Shangguan Yun Feng had already guessed this, he was still shocked by Duan Ling Tian’s confirmation. He inhaled sharply before he asked, “T-this means you must be as strong as a top Eight Star God of War now, right?”

Meng Shan who had just calmed down was scared witless upon hearing these words. He had never been shocked so many times in his life prior to today.

Duan Ling Tian only responded to Shangguan Yun Feng’s question with a faint smile, neither confirming nor denying Shangguan Yun Feng’s words.

Nevertheless, Shangguan Yun Feng could infer the answer based on Duan Ling Tian’s smile. He asked with bright eyes, “Young Master, do you plan to join the Heavenly Dao Alliance?”

In Shangguan Yun Feng’s opinion, it was only a matter of time before Duan Ling Tian became a Nine Star God of War. If Duan Ling Tian joined the alliance, it was only a matter of time before the alliance became a powerhouse in the heart of the Nine Serenities Battlefield. Although the alliance had two Eight Star Gods of War, it was not enough for them to join the ranks of powerful forces in the center area of the Nine Serenities Battlefield.

“Yes.” Duan Ling Tian nodded slightly. “I want a place to cultivate peacefully. Someone would interrupt my cultivation every time I tried to cultivate. It’s too troublesome for me to kill everyone so I decided to join an alliance to cultivate without being disturbed.”

Shangguan Yun Feng asked with a smile, “Young Master, this is your first time coming to the Nine Serenities Battlefield, right?”

Duan Ling Tian nodded.

“I see. In any case, the Heavenly Dao Alliance welcomes you…” Shangguan Yun Feng said with a smile. Then, he added, “I think it’s best Young Master takes over the position of the Alliance Leader; I’ll take over the position of Vice Alliance Leader instead…”

This time, Meng Shan was no longer surprised. He looked at Duan Ling Tian eagerly. After all, if Duan Ling Tian became the Leader of the Heavenly Dao Alliance, the alliance’s future would be incomparably bright.

“No,” Duan Ling Tian said as he shook his head, “I’m only joining an alliance to find a place to cultivate. However, I’ll naturally help if the alliance needs my help as long as it doesn’t cross my bottom line… I’m not interested in becoming the leader of the alliance…”

Duan Ling Tian was not interested in becoming the Leader of the Heavenly Dao Alliance at all. The position came with a lot of responsibilities that he did not have the time for.

Although Shangguan Yun Feng was not surprised by Duan Ling Tian’s refusal, he still could not help but feel disappointed. “Alright. In that case, Young Master, I’ll give you the position of Vice Alliance Leader…”

With this, Duan Ling Tian became the first Vice Alliance Leader in the Heavenly Dao Alliance.
