Emperor’s Domination

The old woman lowered her hands. They clenched together into fists for a second before relaxing.

“Please do as you please, Young Noble. I apologize for the disrespectful display earlier.” Her head lowered slightly as she accepted her fate.

“It’s fine, fear is expected when you believe I am here to kill you.” Li Qiye said: “However, you have saved yourself.”

“Thank you, Young Noble.” She heaved a sigh of relief. After all, Bao Pu and Nine-secrets couldn’t escape death, let alone her.

“You are not at fault for wanting to survive. Had you taken action against me, that would be a mistake.” Li Qiye said.

“I understand.” She realized she was not going to die today.

“Show your true appearance.” Li Qiye ordered.

“Very well, Young Noble.” She glowed brightly before assuming her true form – a supreme beauty.

“Oh!” Teng Sujian exclaimed: “It’s, it’s her…”

She recognized this supreme beauty since she was identical to the ones in the ice coffins. The only difference was their rings.

She took a look and this woman wore a silver ring. Since she was still alive, she looked even more transcendent than the corpses.

Sujian already felt inferior compared to the eight dead versions but after seeing the ninth living one, her confidence shattered.

“Jiu Ning greets you, Young Noble.” The beauty bowed.

Few knew this name but it would have caused quite a stir back in the ancient era. True Emperor Jiu Ning – the only person to have learned the nine secrets outside of the titular progenitor.

“Long time no see.” Li Qiye waved and moved them to a different dimension.

He sat down while she stood before him, overwhelmed. She thought she was lucky and made the right choice.

“Tell me about your experience.” Li Qiye said.

“Please don’t laugh, but I myself didn’t know what happened until recently when Desolate Ancestor killed Bao Pu and Supreme Black Ancestor killed my progenitor.” She smiled wryly.

“Go on.” Li Qiye said.

“This was long ago and I don’t recall when I was struck.” She said: “It was undetectable.”

“It was too late once you noticed. Someone stronger than you wouldn’t have survived but you were lucky since it was just one, a weak one.” Li Qiye said.

“You are aware of it.” She became hopeful upon hearing this.

“Immortal corpseworm.” Li Qiye said: “The one inside you is not a first-generation corpseworm from an immortal. It is many generations after and was from a different corpse, far weaker in comparison.”

She shuddered due to her traumatic experiences with it.

“How did you get infected?” Li Qiye asked.

“I’m unsure, but it was…” She paused for a second before replying: “Most likely it came from my progenitor.”

“So you met him after he was infected.” Li Qiye said.

“More than once.” She said: “I finished the nine words then and wanted to take a step further. Thus, I sought his guidance. He said I must abandon the nine words and seek a new dao. Therefore, I meditated and sought help from others. Of course, the progenitor was still the most helpful. I also observed Emperor Zheng’s failed ascension and this was truly beneficial…”

She sighed and continued: “I went into training again and broke away from the nine words, wanting to become an overlord. However, I still had questions so I went to the progenitor.”

“You noticed something amiss.” Li Qiye said.

“The progenitor locked himself this time. He looked confused when I saw him so I thought it was qi deviation. I helped him with energy and once he regained lucidity, he told me to run. I listened due to his serious demeanor.” She said.

“You were infected then, so was he. He only regained a hint of consciousness due to his power.” Li Qiye said.

“At first, I didn’t notice anything strange. I returned to look for him later but he was nowhere to be found.” She said: “At that time, I noticed something broke out of an egg inside me.”

She was a being qualified to become an overlord then, virtually indestructible. How could something foreign survive and thrive in her body?
