Emperor’s Domination

The two made it to the area and observed the nine towering peaks. They pierced the clouds and prevented intruders.

“It’s sealed.” Li Qiye commented.

“There’s an unknown power here.” Teng Sujian responded: “But there was an exception.”

“Which was?” He smiled.

“Two days ago, my ancestor told me a meteor fell into the nine peaks.” She said.

“A meteor.” Li Qiye smiled, aware of the meteor coming out from Primordial Gate.

Something there was strong enough to withstand the blast, saving the rest of World City.

Some believed that when First Vine built World City, he left his resources and supreme treasures in this place. This was the reason why World City survived numerous ordeals, potentially surviving an attack from an immortal.

Of course, these were mere speculations because no overlord or immortal had tried to attack it before.

First Vine’s immortal treasure stored here was rumored to have originated from an ancient true immortal, not inferior to anything from the six redemption grounds.

Xian Chengtian had a high number of immortal treasures. Primal Yin Immortal Ghost’s armament was impressive as well but couldn’t stop Chengtian’s spear. However, First Vine never feared Chengtian’s treasures. Was this because he had an immortal artifact of his own?

Yes, its name was World Seal. Many said only one artifact could contend against it, Desolate Ancestor’s Calamitous Edge. [1]

The name of this artifact and the name of the city contributed to the speculation that First Vine founded the city. Of course, no one knew whether the artifact was actually sealed here.

This was the reason why overlords tried to enter Nine Heavens Peak to no avail. Desolate Ancestor might have entered but never spoken about it.

The meteor fell into Heaven World and time came to a stop. Once it landed in World City, visual phenomena appeared and softened the blow.

This caused a wave of excitement and more visitors came to see. After all, only an immortal artifact could have stopped that meteor.

Li Qiye reached forward and sensed an invisible power repelling all intruders. This was too familiar to him, prompting a smile of understanding.

“Is it not there?” She saw his hand and reached forward as well.

“Pop!” The power pushed her back.

“It’s still there.” She said while looking at Li Qiye who was not affected.

“You don’t feel it?” She was surprised.

“Nothing.” He smiled.

She looked again and sure enough, he was within the area of effect without being repelled.

“Hmm?” He could grasp the nine peaks now but sensed something was wrong. There was something that didn’t belong here.

“Let’s go take a look.” He said.

She stood there in a daze because they couldn’t possibly enter. However, he walked in without facing any resistance.

“…” She didn’t know what to say.

“Are you coming?” He asked.

She knew she was about to be pushed out but still listened and followed him. Strangely enough, it didn’t activate this time.

When she came to her senses, she saw a small path winding through a narrow and deep valley at the foot of the peaks. She looked around and saw nothing else.

“Where are we now, near the central area?” She wondered how they made it through without using any merit law. Where were the visual phenomena and invisible power? It was as if everything before was an illusion.

“We’re right at the base, not inside yet.” He said.

“Are we going to the center?” She lost all sense of directions during the walk.
