Emperor’s Domination

“Who else would join this game of death?” Li Qiye smiled.

“All those you are interested in. Evil Transformation and Fiendish Ground, Bao Pu, Primal Yin Immortal Ghost, and then Supreme Heaven, Zhan Sansheng. Perhaps all of them will join.” Li Qiye said.

“Looks like you came prepared, not a whimsical idea.” Li Qiye said.

“Yes, Sacred Teacher. Death haunted me for a long time so I always thought of ways to avoid it.” He said.

“Did you think this would work?” Li Qiye asked.

“I knew you would be interested in it since you didn’t like boring fights. A game with your targets would make it more colorful.” He said.

“What a good friend, thinking for my sake.” Li Qiye clapped.

“And for my life. I must grasp all potential paths.” He said, revealing all of his plan.

“It’s hard for me not to be interested in this.” Li Qiye said.

“As long as you participate in this game of death, I guarantee the targets will show up without you having to go seek them out.” He smiled.

“So confident.” Li Qiye remarked.

“Just my speculations.” He said: “I have a secret agreement with Zhan Sansheng and the two redemption grounds known as the Four Lords’ Pact and a Trinity Pact with Primal Yin Immortal Ghost and Bao Pu. I am the key to them.”

“Oh?” Li Qiye remarked.

“Perhaps when the pacts are broken along with the balances, they will become courageous and show up. You won’t have to find them one by one then, Sacred Teacher.” He said.

“Makes sense.” Li Qiye nodded.

“Of course, you can find anyone if you want to, but it still takes time and effort.” He continued.

“So you know their whereabouts.” Li Qiye said.

“Not one hundred percent accurate, I just have a good guess due to the pacts.” He said.

“In a sense, you’re flattening your path with a borrowed knife.” Li Qiye said.

“I suppose.” He shrugged and said: “But only under the condition that I survive. Otherwise, I would be nothing more than a clown trying to scheme.”

“Yes.” Li Qiye said.

“I’m still a clown right now for overestimating myself but at the very least, this buys me more time. It’s still better than begging for mercy, right?” He said.

“Yes, begging for mercy wouldn’t have worked either.” Li Qiye said.

“This might just be a different way to die, I believe the probability of death is infinitely close to one hundred percent, but I must cling on to that one last sliver of hope.” He said.

“You may have that sliver of hope. I can’t let down someone who had studied me, permission granted.” Li Qiye said.

“Thank you, Sacred Teacher. It will be an honor to die by your hands.” He bowed deeply.

“Too early for this, I don’t know if you will have that honor.” Li Qiye smiled.

He paused for a moment before replying: “I suppose we can’t fathom your machinations, Sacred Teacher. I apologize for being presumptuous.”

“Very well. If you become the last man standing, I will temporarily spare you and break the curse so you can become an immortal.” Li Qiye smiled.

“Thank you, Sacred Teacher. I will try my best and hope that the next time we meet, I will be the last.” He said.

Li Qiye waved his hand and the radiant man disappeared from sight.

High Priest Mu had a look of surprise as he spoke: “This Xian Chengtian prepared for this.”

“Dragging more people to the mud gives him more chances. Better they die than him.” Li Qiye said.

“Is he trying to escape?” He found this impossible given the hunter.

“Who can escape death?” Li Qiye asked.

“Who?” He contemplated: “A true immortal, not quite.”

Xian Chengtian couldn’t become an immortal in a short period, let alone a true one.

In terms of cultivation and resources, he couldn’t compare to Supreme Heaven, not even Bao Pu, let alone the two redemption grounds.

Therefore, he couldn’t conceive a scenario where Xian Chengtian came out ahead.

“The dead can escape death.” Li Qiye smiled.

“So he wishes to feign death?” He was surprised momentarily.

“Who knows? I hope it will be something more impressive instead of a disappointing plan.”

“An ordinary feign-death can’t fool you, Young Noble.” He said.

“Depends on how well.” Li Qiye said.

“It’s a trap too.” He stared at the horizon.

“It’s better than nothing.” Li Qiye said before looking up at the ceiling: “Did you know someone left an item here?”

“I didn’t know. Whoever it was, they didn’t bother to kill me since I’m just an insect.” He sighed before following Li Qiye’s gaze upward.

Although he didn’t notice it before, he sensed something special while gazing at it.

“Is it branded?” He asked.

“Sealed.” Li Qiye replied.

“I see, then I would have zero chance of getting it.” He shook his head, aware of the insurmountable gap.
