Emperor’s Domination

“Hahaha, fine, I shall give Devil Emperor’s face.” Nine-cries was furious but chose to back off.

“Young Noble, would you do the honor of visiting my island?” Luosha invited Li Qiye.

“I have never been to your Soaring Peak.” Goldblade complained.

“Why not?” Li Qiye smiled.

“Please.” She bowed and gestured in the right direction.

However, she only invited Li Qiye and not the other two.

Alch-deer stared at them disappearing into the fog before asking Goldblade: “Soaring Peak is that mysterious?”

“How do I know, I’ve never been there.” Goldblade laughed and patted the guy’s shoulder: “Come to my camp for a drink.”

“I feel like you’ll rob me.” Alch-deer said.

“Haha, a deer like you has nothing of value, can’t even interest a bandit.” Goldblade gave him a disdainful stare.

“Then who is your target? I can smell it already, your urges.” Alch-deer said.

“You can smell that? Are you a dog?” Goldblade said.

“It’s my unique gift.” Alch-deer said.

Goldblade nodded and said earnestly: “I see, I suppose it makes sense that the spirit deers from Desolate Frontier have a special ability.”

“I’m just messing with you, you just made it too obvious.” Alch-deer laughed.

“Too obvious?” Goldblade glared at him.

“You shook when you saw my ancestor, just like your nephew due to a guilty conscience.” Alch-deer said.

“Not bad, messing with me? Maybe I should roast you, I haven’t eaten a deer from Desolate Frontier before.” Goldblade glared at him.

“You don’t dare.” Alch-deer waved his hand.

“Because you’re from Desolate Frontier?” Goldblade became annoyed.

“Not entirely.” Alch-deer said: “You were right, you are a bandit, not a heinous villain, you might even be a better person than many desolate gods and emperors from Desolate Frontier. This was why we never pursued you.”

“And?” Goldblade asked.

“Your original pursuit never changed since you didn’t start a sect after becoming an apex emperor. That’s why, you won’t do anything to me because that’s not in your nature. Moreover, I have no worthwhile possession either.” Alch-deer said.

“A member of Desolate Frontier indeed, so logical.” Goldblade snorted.

“Right now, there’s a question on your mind.” Alch-deer said.

“What?” Goldblade asked.

“Why is our ancestor here in Isles of Evil?” Alch-deer said.

Goldblade paused momentarily before asking: “Do you know why?”

“I don’t.” Alch-deer shrugged.

“I might not kill you, but I’m thinking about making a nice piece of leather.” Goldblade gritted his teeth.

“I can’t predict the ancestor’s intent. If he wanted to get rid of evil here, he would have started with Nine-cries. Just one wave was sufficient.” Alch-deer said.

“He’s that strong?” Goldblade replied.

“Nine-cries is nothing, after all, Tenth-gen Chen went down with one move.” Alch-deer said.

“Really?” Goldblade heard this before and thought it was just a figure of speech.

“Yes, and Centurial Peak is a hundred times stronger than your Isles of Evil. The ancestor can destroy this place whenever.” Alch-deer said.

“...” Goldblade shuddered after hearing this.

He knew Li Qiye was dangerous but it seemed he had underestimated this supreme ancestor from Desolate Frontier.

“These islands are a part of Uncrossable Expanse, they’re special.” Goldblade said.

“More special than our land blessed with a supreme momentum from our progenitor? However, the ancestor still took control of the momentum. This place stands no chance against him.” Alch-deer said.

“I see.” Goldblade turned pale, aware of the significance behind the grand momentum.

It was created by an immortal. Not even a supreme overlord can take it down - a hint to this ancestor’s frightening power.

“That’s why drop your plan. Although I can’t speculate on the ancestor’s intent, he does not need reasons to act. If he feels like it, he’ll destroy the island. I’m only letting you know because you’re not a bad guy.” Alch-deer said.

“Shit, I got such a good plan for this fat sheep too.” Goldblade complained.

“Who is it?” Alch-deer asked.

“Haha, Thousand-eyed.” Goldblade replied.

“That’s not good, he’s from Orchid Academy, and from what I garner, our ancestor likes Orchid Academy. Watch it or he’ll make a chamber pot out of your skull. Then again, to be frank, becoming our ancestor’s chamber pot is your honor.” Alch-deer shook his head.

“You!” Goldblade nearly vomited blood and said: “Brat, you better watch it, don’t think I’ll keep playing nice.”

“I’m just telling the truth.” Alch-deer shrugged: “Emperors like us are amazing in others’ eyes but we’re insects in his. If he wants a skull chamber pot, it wouldn’t be your turn. He can find a primal ancestor or heaven-slayer instead, more precious than our head.”

Goldblade cursed under his breath because this was the truth. This ancestor must at least be a supreme overlord.

“Damn it, we’re just going to drink to get through this unlucky day, no more robbing.” Goldblade slung his arm around Alch-deer’s shoulder and went off to get a drink.

***

Soaring Peak was elusive, its location unknown to the other villains.

Li Qiye and Luosha Devil Emperor sat beneath an ancient pine tree atop a cliff, slowly sipping tea.

The leaves were produced in Trinity and added to the rarest nectar of Old World. She personally prepared the tea and poured the cup slowly with a demeanor both calm and respectful.
