Emperor’s Domination

”That’s true, I wonder if we should.” Orchidcore mused.

”We should ask the vice headmaster, this requires an emperor.” Princess Chen said.

”Fellow Daoists, I truly appreciate your kind intent but our fallen clan doesn’t dare to waste an emperor’s time.” Li Xian waved his hand repeatedly.

Princess Chen glared at him in response: ”An emperor is not going to eat you or take over your land!”

”Of course, one cares not for this little plot but might still crush it.” Li Xian had a bitter expression.

”He’s not wrong, it’s a potential problem.” Orchidcore nodded because this was all the Li had left.

”Yes, so our place would be finished after the exorcism.” Li Xian added.

”So we’re going to ignore it?” Princess Chen said angrily.

”I believe it’s our ancestors, nothing bad will happen other than some playful teasings.” Li Xian said.

”Right, yesterday proves this.” Monk Zhu said.

”What is the root cause behind it then? How long has it been going on?” Princess Chen asked.

”I am sticking with it being my ancestors returning.” Li Xian said.

”What if they’re not your ancestors?” Mu Hu asked, causing everyone to shudder.

”Do you have another theory?” Orchidcore asked him.

”...” Li Xian had no response.

”We should just ask a teacher.” Princess Chen understood the limitations of their abilities.

They couldn’t force the yin tornado to show its true self, let alone exorcise it.

”Everyone is so busy, the vice headmaster definitely can’t leave.” Monk Zhu said.

”I believe this requires the vice headmaster.” She said.

”I don’t think the vice headmaster has left since the headmaster’s disappearance.” Orchidcore shook his head.

”Orchid Sage is missing?” Li Xian was surprised.

”Since when?” Li Qiye frowned after hearing this.

The four exchanged glances and didn’t answer.

”It’s a secret?” Li Qiye smiled.

”Not quite, most know by now since it happened a long time ago.” Princess Chen said.

”I see.” Li Xian’s information network was outdated. He would find out about current events thousands of years later: ”I thought he was in isolated cultivation.”

”That wasn’t the case.” Orchidcore responded. Speculation has it their headmaster disappeared after Heavenslay.

He founded Orchid Academy and brought it to relevance, comparable to Sacred Mountain.

The latter’s highest authority was Visceraless Young Noble who rarely participated or showed himself. He was not there to teach the students at Sacred Mountain, only to deter primal ancestors and visiting overlords.

Everyone knew about his gauntlet - an unbeatable treasure. On the other hand, Orchid Sage was always available to teach the students despite his power.

Students ranging from mortals to emperors had the chance to listen to his dao lectures. He didn’t exclude anyone due to their background.

Moreover, he didn’t focus on cultivation alone but also on the arts such as poetry, chess, painting...

He was a master of everything and could satisfy any learner’s request. Due to his selfless nature, he was respected by all parties.

After Heavenslay when he wasn’t there for three to five lectures, those who knew him best understood that something had gone wrong.

A rumor of his starting isolated cultivation started. No one had a problem with this and they were happy for him - taking the time to make up for lost time.

Many generations later, people started questioning his disappearance. In fact, the academy had little knowledge of this.

Teachers came and went as they pleased. They only came to teach whenever they had the urge to pass down knowledge. Desolate Ancestor and Dingtian were guest teachers of the academy.

Because of his disappearance, the vice headmaster’s position became crucial for the academy’s administration.

Many students searched the corners of Old World for him only to find nothing.
