Emperor’s Domination

The freezing light took over the clan. This was a rarely seen affinity, capable of purifying time and space.

Unfortunately, it still had no effect against the wailing winds and main tornado.

”Explode!” She didn’t give up and gathered all light to form a tsunami for a focused attack.

”Boom!” The wave reached its tallest height before slamming into the tornado and engulfing it.

However, it somehow just passed through as if the tornado didn’t have a solid form. She froze in astonishment after seeing this.

”Still can’t banish it.” Li Xian murmured: ”Maybe the ancestors are too strong.”

The four young saints were good seeds but his ancestors used to be emperors and primal ancestors. He thought they were still just as strong as ghosts.

”That’s one way to put it.” Li Qiye chuckled.

”Wait, you are confirming it now, Young Noble?” Although he wanted this to be his mischievous ancestors, he knew this might just be wishful thinking. Moreover, Li Qiye mentioned the impossibility of ghosts.

”I said your ancestors weren’t ghosts.” Li Qiye said.

”Then what are they?” Li Xian murmured.

”People, of course. Real ghosts would pull you down with them.” Li Qiye said.

”...” Li Xian looked down at his feet to confirm the absence of ghastly hands.

”Please don’t scare me like that.” He said while Li Qiye took another sip of tea and watched the contest below.

”Amitabha, merciful Buddha.” Monk Zhu went next.

His chant echoed across the courtyard for a different style of purification. The resonating chants would wake up anyone lost in bewilderment.

”This little monk, the art of Lankavatara Temple.” Li Qiye was amused.

”Isn’t he a student from Orchid Academy?” Li Xian asked but then realized how silly the question was.

Lankavatara was the largest Buddhist temple in Old World so the little monk had quite a background before enrolling in the academy.

The longer he chanted, the more Buddist affinity conjured, culminating in a Buddhist wheel behind his head with animated images of numerous Buddhas.

He was only a novice monk, far from being an enlightened one or a ”Buddha”. Nevertheless, his radiant form displayed the potential of this path.

Anyone would feel the urge to prostrate and join Buddhism. Li Xian was no exception.

However, Li Qiye touched him and woke him up from the effect. He broke out in cold sweat since he could have been converted.

The young monk placed his palms together and bowed, summoning a massive Buddha above the residence.

The figure pointed at the sky with one hand and the earth with the other, seemingly declaring its invincibility between heaven and earth. The conversion’s potential intensified as the figure delivered a palm strike against the tornado.

”Evil Subduer!” The attack could crush anything beneath.

This finally infuriated the tornado, unlike the previous two attempts.

”Rumble!” Its power erupted tenfold before the collision.
