Emperor’s Domination

“Isn’t Desolate Ancestor the likeliest choice? She should be the weakest.” Fog Emissary mused.

“You say that because you do not know him. Desolate Ancestor is the least likely choice because she had noticed something and should be on guard. He feigned death precisely to escape her pursuit.” The old man shook his head.

“Since he’s supposed to be dead, he won’t show up again until the ambush.” Li Qiye said.

“Maybe find the location of Zhan Sansheng’s reincarnation, wait for the guy’s dao to mature, deliver a fatal blow and devour.” The old man said.

“Such boldness, only you can do something like this.” Water Emissary praised.

“The reincarnation location isn’t that easily found. It should be a fatal trip.” Fog said.

“The three immortals should still be the top targets.” The old man said with certainty.

“Finding him isn’t that hard.” Li Qiye smiled at the old man.

“Sir, what are you saying?” The old man staggered backward.

“Although you’ve severed the past, I can still trace through a relatively easy process.” Li Qiye shrugged.

“What process?” Fog asked.

The old man answered before Li Qiye: “Remove and dissect my divine intent with a focus on karma. The remnant karma should lead to his whereabouts.”

“That would kill you.” Six-style took a deep breath.

“Pretty much.” Li Qiye shrugged and said: “That’s why I said it’s not difficult to find him.”

All eyes were on Li Qiye afterward.

“Sir, go ahead if that is your wish. No one can stop you anyway.” The old man sighed and accepted his fate.

Others sympathized with his predicament - a dao avatar who suffered in the ghost market and rose to be a temple lord. He had severed his past and could spend the rest of his time here.

Unfortunately, his life might end due to the actions of the true body.

“No need. Sir, you certainly have other methods.” Water said softly since he empathized the most.

Their fate was virtually identical, only the old man was further ahead on the road.

“Sir, there must be another way.” Fog asked for mercy as well since the old man had saved him.

“Looks like you’ll be fine.” Li Qiye chuckled and patted the old man’s shoulder.

Everyone heaved a sigh of relief; they were more nervous than he was.

“Thank you for your mercy.” The old man sighed and bowed.

“It’s not mercy since you are you, not him. Although I can use your karma to trace him, I don’t need to.” Li Qiye said: “But, you have to give up something, that person in your shop.”

“The lucky cat.” Six-style knew right away.

“So be it, Sir.” The old man knew it was not the time to be stubborn.

“It is yours now.” He summoned the lucky cat from his shop and handed it over to Li Qiye.

Li Qiye took the“lucky cat” but it was more of a tiny old woman with a strange appearance.

“How did this happen?” Water wondered.

“You had such a perverted hobby, refining people into this form?” Fog stared at the old man.

“This has nothing to do with me, I’m not a pervert. It was already like this when I found it.” The old man protested.

“Is this a puppet or a vessel?” Water took a closer look.

“She did it herself.” Li Qiye said.

“Buzz.” His primordial light pulsed from the top of her head to the rest of her body.

“Clank!” The abnormal body expanded like something that had been dried out finally getting water.

A reforming process ensued and with time, a woman shrouded by a large cloak appeared before them. Mysterious runes capable of peering the heaven’s secret rotated around her. Her graceful and slender figure couldn’t be hidden by the cloak.

“Jade-zenith!” Water was the first to recognize her.

“You’re Fellow Daoist Xian.” The woman was surprised to see him as well.

“I am just a grand ghost, Baihui is no more.” Water shook his head: “But why are you here?”

“Am I still alive?” She looked down at her body and asked.

“No, you’re dead.” Li Qiye shook his head.

“Just as calculated, a divination of death.” She trembled for a moment before taking a deep breath.

“You are Jade-zenith Progenitor?” Six-style asked.

“When I was alive, yes.” The woman murmured.

“How did you get here?” Fog asked.

She somehow recognized him and said: “You’re both Fellow Daoist Xian.”

She paused for a second before continuing: “I followed you here.”

“Followed me?” Fog didn’t expect this.

“You don’t remember anything.” She said.

“Yes, I have extinguished everything, my past included.” He said.

“I see, then my intuition was right. Everyone is gone?” She murmured.

“Talking about Old Strike Pact?” He said.

“Yes, we came together with Gao Yang’s group.” She said.

“How did you get here?” Six-style couldn’t help but ask another survivor.
