Beast Taming Clan: I Have a Jade Book

Countless Cave Mansions dotted the long and narrow Spirit Vein on Earth Shadow Peak. This area served as the Ye Family’s Cultivator’s Cave Mansions. Outside one of them, several Cultivators stood waiting. Most of them wore the robes of the Spirit Plant Hall, led by Ye Qingyuan.

Compared to a Ye Family member breaking through to the Nascent Soul stage, breakthroughs at the Foundation Establishment Purple Mansion level occurred every few days on Celestial Shadow Peak and Earth Shadow Peak. Naturally, it was nothing rare, nor did it warrant solemn preparation. However, for the Spirit Plant Hall, the situation was different. Inside the two Cave Mansions before them were two critical figures. One was the Ye Family Elder, Ye Jingyu, who carried several tasks for the Ye Family’s Spirit Plant Hall. Her breakthrough also determined the success of the Qi Blood Transformation Technique. Inside the second Cave Mansion, the Spirit Plant Hall’s Spiritual Child, Ye Yunmei, was undergoing her breakthrough.

Both were attempting to reach the Purple Mansion stage. The only difference was that Ye Yunmei was breaking through before the age of one hundred, whereas Ye Jingyu was making a final attempt. Nearing the very end of her lifespan, she had finally reached the Foundation Establishment Peak and was utilizing the Qi Blood Transformation Technique for one last desperate try.

The situation in Ye Yunmei’s Cave Mansion was visibly much more stable, with her aura climbing steadily notch by notch. In stark contrast, the Spiritual Pressure in Ye Jingyu’s Cave Mansion was erratic—sometimes surging incredibly high, then plummeting extremely low. This was the drawback of the Qi Blood Transformation Technique. It required an exceptionally high level of control. If too much of the Wood Demon’s Demon Essence was transformed, it would negatively impact the True Essence within her body. Conversely, if too little was transformed, it would not be enough to rejuvenate her physical body.

Finally, a ripple of Spiritual Energy spread outward as Ye Yunmei’s Cave Mansion opened ahead of the other. As soon as she walked out, she asked, “Uncle Qingyuan, has Granny Jingyu broken through yet?”

Ye Jingyu had gone into Seclusion slightly earlier than she did. In truth, Ye Yunmei had wanted to wait until Ye Jingyu finished her Seclusion before beginning her own. Just like how Ye Jingyu had once waited outside for Ye Xinghan, she had wanted to stand guard outside, knowing that no matter what happened, the heritage of the Ye Family’s Spirit Plant Hall would not be severed. Unfortunately, she had reached a point where she had to break through, leaving her with no choice but to enter Seclusion.

“Aunt Jingyu is still in the process of breaking through. There shouldn’t be any major issues,” Ye Qingyuan replied.

Unlike Ye Xinghan, who had not used the Purple Mansion Jade Liquid, Ye Jingyu had consumed it after being persuaded by several Ye Family Elders. Because of this, Ye Jingli, Ye Jingyun, and Ye Xingqun—who were stationed in the Eastern Domain—had even taken turns visiting to offer her guidance and encouragement.

Although the Ye Family lacked an abundant supply of Purple Mansion Jade Liquid, the annual Spirit Stone revenue they had earned over the years was substantial. Whenever Purple Mansion Jade Liquid appeared in the Eastern Domain or the Central Domain, the Ye Family would purchase at least one portion, if not buy out the entire stock. Even though the price was steep, the Ye Family believed that as long as their Cultivators advanced their Cultivation, the Spirit Stones they would earn in the future would definitely outweigh the initial cost. This was precisely the purpose behind the Ye Family establishing Spiritual Children.

“Granny Jingyu has prepared for so long; she will definitely succeed.” Ye Yunmei turned around. Without even taking the time to stabilize her newly advanced realm, she waited with slightly reddened eyes. Even when Ye Qingyuan urged her to go back inside and consolidate her Cultivation, she shook her head and refused.

All the Cultivators of the Ye Family’s Spirit Plant Hall were present. How could she, Ye Yunmei, be absent?

Time ticked by. Finally, at the very last moment before the evening glow faded into dusk, the Spiritual Energy inside the Cave Mansion began to riot. Wood Attribute Spiritual Energy circulated continuously. In the next instant, the aura of the Purple Mansion stage burst outward with a resounding BOOM.

“She broke through!” Ye Yunmei almost jumped up in excitement, despite no longer being young. She had been taught almost entirely by Ye Jingyu. If it weren’t for Ye Jingyu, she would never have broken through to the Purple Mansion stage so quickly. She might have even faded into obscurity among the massive number of Ye Family Members. After all, ordinary Dual Spirit Roots and Three Spirit Roots were truly nothing remarkable in the Ye Family.

“Aunt Jingyu has broken through.” Ye Qingyuan was equally thrilled.

Ye Jingyu’s breakthrough signified that the older generation of Ye Family Members no longer needed to give up on Cultivation. Even in the fleeting moments before their passing, they could still attempt a breakthrough. The significance of this was profound. While it was true that not every clan elder could be allocated Purple Mansion Jade Liquid, it was far better than failing to even reach the Foundation Establishment Peak and blaming it all on the family’s lack of sufficient Purple Mansion Jade Liquid.

Many Ye Family elders were actually capable of reaching such heights. With the enhancement of the Beast Communication Pattern, many of the Ye Family’s Cultivators actually had hope of reaching the Purple Mansion Golden Core stage. However, as many elders grew older, they would pass their Spirit Beasts down to the younger generation and focus solely on earning Spirit Stone stipends. By neglecting their Cultivation, they ultimately lost even the qualifications to attempt a breakthrough before their deaths.

But now, with a successful case of the Qi Blood Transformation Technique, they could all give it a try—as long as the Ye Family had enough Wood Demons for the transformation. Furthermore, even without the Purple Mansion Jade Liquid, they could use Celestial Spirit Qi. This held far-reaching significance for the entire Ye Family.

“Qingyuan, Yunmei, thank you for your hard work,” Ye Jingyu said as she walked out of the Cave Mansion, her face mirroring their excitement. Because of her breakthrough in Cultivation and the substantial increase in her lifespan, her previously aged appearance had reverted to that of a woman in her early twenties.

Seeing this, Ye Yunmei couldn’t help but rush forward and embrace her.

“Yunmei, Aunt Jingyu’s breakthrough is still unstable and needs consolidation. You need to go and consolidate your realm as well,” Ye Qingyuan reminded her gently.

Ye Jingyu and Ye Yunmei both nodded immediately.

Watching the two women return to their Cave Mansions, Ye Qingyuan turned and headed toward the Clan Assembly Hall. Naturally, such momentous news had to be reported to the Patriarch, Ye Haicheng.

Deep beneath the Yin Shark Sea in the East Wuyu Archipelago.

This area had already been transformed into an Underground Palace complex. Fortified by an Array, the seawater was completely blocked outside the Spirit Shield, unable to leak in a single drop. The immense pressure of the ocean depths was entirely borne by the Spirit Shield. For the Ye Family Cultivators, even Qi Cultivation Cultivators could now safely reach this place. It was no longer like before, where one had to be at least at the Late Stage of Foundation Establishment just to survive in this deep sea.

Aside from the fully constructed halls and pavilions, various Spirit Fishes could be seen swimming in the distance. The majority of these Spirit Fishes were Sharks. This particular Spirit Fish had a long, sword-like body with incredible piercing power, and at its mouth, it possessed a Poison Needle. Of course, despite the venomous needle, the Shark itself was quite an excellent Spirit Material. While its dietary benefits were not on par with the Black Mushroom Fish or the Star-Feeding Fish, it could reach Tier Two and could be herded directly in the seawater. It was significantly better than the Cyan Fish the Ye Family had bred previously, so it was naturally chosen to be raised here.

Furthermore, there was a Tier Five Water Attribute Spiritual Vein at the bottom of the sea. It would have been somewhat of a waste for the Ye Family if they didn’t breed anything here. As a result, the Ye Family had already raised five or six schools of fish in the surrounding waters. The Shark was merely one of them. There were even many Moon Spirit Pearls, which Ye Jingcheng had previously acquired, scattered around the vicinity. Occasionally, the Ye Family would even use these Moon Spirit Pearls to lure Demon Beasts over so they could hunt them.

There were many Ye Family Members residing on the seabed, the vast majority of whom possessed Water Attribute Spirit Roots. They practiced Water Attribute Secret Techniques and were responsible for herding these Spirit Fishes. By doing so, they could earn Spirit Stone salaries while simultaneously accelerating their Cultivation speed. This place had already become the Ye Family’s premier Water Element Sacred Land. Even the once-revered Shuize Mini World now ranked behind it.

“Ancestor Xue Cang, Ancestor Jingcheng.” In the distance, Ye Zhijian cupped his hands in greeting toward the two men.

Ye Zhijian had now reached the Early Stage of Purple Mansion, and his Cultivation was remarkably solid. His eyes shone with a bright and piercing vitality. Since there was a gap of six generations between the Xue generation and the Zhi generation, Ye Zhijian simply addressed them directly as Ancestors.

“The Chenjing broke through to Tier Four five years ago, and Zhijian broke through to the Purple Mansion stage seven years ago. Now, the family has begun cultivating Chenjing Jade,” Ye Xuecang explained.

Although it was the Tier Five Chenjing Jade that truly produced significant effects, the Ye Family’s understanding of the Chenjing was limited. The method they were using was a Secret Technique the family had previously risked their lives to discover. Therefore, they needed to conduct preliminary trials to ensure they were at least heading in the right direction. This way, once the Chenjing broke through to Tier Five, the Ye Family could officially begin nurturing Tier Five Chenjing Jade.

As he spoke, Ye Xuecang led Ye Zhijian and Ye Jingcheng out of the Array, heading toward the distance.

Upon exiting, Ye Xuecang retrieved a Spirit Shuttle. A Spirit Shuttle was similar to a Spiritual Ship, with the unique advantage of being able to navigate effortlessly through seawater. It could also dissipate most of the underwater pressure. The Ye Family had acquired quite a few of these during their time in the Sea Domain, making it the perfect tool for this occasion.

The group quickly arrived at the site of the Tier Four Spirit Jade Ore Vein, where Ye Zhijian released the Chenjing.

The Chenjing had grown even more massive. It now possessed the imposing aura of a Chenjing Demon King. Its eyes even glowed with a faint blood-red light, radiating a fierce and intense Evil Qi. This Chenjing Demon King was not unfamiliar with Ye Jingcheng. It even nodded at him. Although it did not vocalize anything, its respect was fully conveyed.

After greeting Ye Jingcheng and Ye Xuecang, the Chenjing descended onto the Jade Ore. Its entire body surged with flowing Demon Essence as streaks of dark crimson light seeped outward. Slowly, the Spirit Jade closest to the Chenjing absorbed these bloody gleams of light.

Seeing this, Ye Jingcheng breathed a sigh of relief. The Chenjing Jade Ore Vein was being steadily nurtured, and that was the greatest cause for celebration.

“Then next, we just need to wait for the Cold Flood Dragon to arrive!” Ye Jingcheng remarked.

With that, he and Ye Xuecang returned to the depths of the seabed.
