Beast Taming Clan: I Have a Jade Book

Chapter 1503: Chapter 1081: Opening the Hidden Peak Wide, Pursued by the Primordial Shark

On an unknown island, the seawater crashed heavily against the reef.

A few Star-Feeding Fishes, emitting a Spirit Fragrance, leaped out of the sea along with the waves and quickly smashed back into the water. The Star-Feeding Fishes naturally emitted a Spirit Fragrance, which actually had a fatal attraction to Body Cultivators and Demon Beasts alike.

Before the Star-Feeding Fishes could linger much longer around the island’s edge, the color of the waves gradually darkened. The next moment, countless tentacles emerged, reaching toward the Star-Feeding Fishes.

A massive Wuzhang’s head also surfaced, its two bulging eyes revealing a look of intense excitement. However, before this Wuzhang Great Demon could enjoy a hearty meal, an eerie Blood Bat’s sound wave spread outward.

Even though the Wuzhang possessed a formidable physical body, under this bizarre Sound Wave Secret Technique, its body still stiffened, and its tentacles subconsciously curled into a ball.

The next moment, a Cultivator entirely covered in cyan Scale Armor appeared right in front of the Wuzhang’s head. The latter was about to spew thick ink, but very quickly, its head was torn open by giant claws.

Countless viscous fluids splattered everywhere as a Beast Soul flew out and landed on the Soul Banner in the distance. The figure in cyan Scale Armor rummaged around for a while and dug out a Demon Beast Inner Core before contentedly storing the Beast Corpse in his bag.

“With the Cyan Light Jade Cloud Bat assisting, Demon Hunting is so much faster,” Ye Xueliang said. The figure was naturally him.

Now that the Ye Family had completely settled down in the East Wuyu Archipelago, they had moved to other islands and resumed their previous Hidden Peak lifestyle.

In the direction he was looking, Ye Xuefu had just taken out his Magical Treasure, only to have to put it away again because the battle had ended too quickly. His face showed a hint of helplessness, but he was also somewhat happy for Ye Xueliang. With this kind of Cyan Light Jade Cloud Bat, Ye Xueliang’s Body Cultivator strength could pose a much greater threat to enemies.

“Let’s split up from here,” Ye Xuefu said after a moment of hesitation. He had also recently contracted a Golden Light Crane and was eager to test its might. If he continued to act together with Ye Xueliang, it would be very difficult for him to even get a chance to strike.

“We do need to split up. Otherwise, who knows how long it will take to gather information on the Demon Beasts,” Ye Xueliang nodded.

This time, besides the two of them, the Ye Family had brought four Purple Mansion Cultivators from the Desert Sea. Just like their previous Hidden Peak missions, these Purple Mansion Cultivators were tasked with hunting Demon Beasts, collecting Beast Souls, and searching for the whereabouts of the Primordial Shark Race.

According to the Ye Family’s newly acquired intelligence, the Primordial Shark Demon Emperor had a Primordial Shark Race. This group wasn’t large—numbering only a little over ten—similar to the Black Crow Race from before. However, the Primordial Shark Race had reached Tier Five, whereas the Black Crows back then were only at the Late Stage of Tier Four. Comparatively speaking, this Primordial Shark Race was far stronger.

If the Ye Family wanted to firmly establish themselves in this Sea Domain, they naturally had to deal with the Primordial Shark Demon Emperor first. As long as they dealt with the Primordial Shark Demon Emperor, they wouldn’t need to worry about a lack of Beast Souls. Using the Primordial Shark Demon Emperor as the core to participate in hunting, while also releasing Demon-enticing Grass, their efficiency would be even higher than what the Ye Family achieved previously. Furthermore, there wouldn’t be any risks.

The Demon Beast races also devoured each other. The reason many Demon Kings could still coexist peacefully was simply that intelligent Demon Emperors would consciously cultivate subordinates to control the surrounding Sea Domains. Therefore, as long as the Ye Family could contract a Primordial Shark, they would have completely established a firm foothold in this Sea Domain. Otherwise, not only would the Ye Family be unable to carry out their plans, but the Cultivators hunting for the family would also be in danger. After all, Ye Jingcheng couldn’t stay in the East Wuyu Archipelago all the time.

Although the Ye Family had three members with Nascent Soul Combat Power along with a Corpse Emperor, the Corpse Emperor inherently carried uncertainties. It was naturally infallible against Golden Core and Tier Four Combat Power, but against Tier Five, it fell far short and could easily lose control, turning on its masters.

Meanwhile, the Earth Dragon Demon Emperor was currently overseeing the Eastern Domain and couldn’t spare a hand. The Jade Qilin Flood Dragon in Ye Jingcheng’s possession was available, but he would soon need to go to the Central Domain to deal with the Gui Xuan Sect and the Celestial Demon Sect. To guarantee his own safety, Ye Jingcheng naturally couldn’t leave the Jade Qilin Flood Dragon here permanently.

Only by subduing the Primordial Shark Demon Emperor and thoroughly eliminating any future troubles could they hunt Demon Beasts freely. At the same time, they could search for information about the Sea Domain’s Cold Flood Dragon, making preparations for refining the Tier Five Advancement Pill for the Jade Qilin Flood Dragon.

The two quickly parted ways. Ye Xueliang remained on this island, while Ye Xuefu rode his Blue Water Whale into the distance.

In the Sea Domain, a massive Sea Lake Island stood tall on the ocean. The entire island was circular with an opening on only one side, looking like a flatbread with a bite taken out of it. Through this opening lay an inner island lake.

A streak of cyan light descended upon the sea lake and, in the next moment, landed on a giant boulder by the shore. This figure carried four Sword Bottles on his back, his gaze sharp and piercing. It was exactly Ye Xuecang, who had hurried over from the East Wuyu Archipelago.

The East Wuyu Archipelago wasn’t close to this place. Even with a Tier Four Spiritual Ship, the flight had taken a day and a half. This was also the core territory of the Dragon Beard Fish Demon King.

Half a month ago, Ye Xuecang had already killed a Sea Elephant Demon King. That Sea Elephant Demon King had fallen to his sword, and he had similarly offered it the choice to submit. Although the Sea Elephant Demon King had agreed readily, a Blood Contract was not as dominantly controlling as a Soul Contract. Relying on its tyrannical physical body, the Sea Elephant Demon King had suddenly counterattacked. It was only because Ye Xuecang was immensely powerful that he wasn’t in any danger.

However, this served as a wake-up call for Ye Xuecang: without Ye Jingcheng’s formidable strength, he had to be wary of these Demon Kings feigning submission.

BOOM!

Shortly after Ye Xuecang landed on the giant boulder, a massive amount of bubbles surged from the inner island lake. The next moment, a string of golden bubbles swept toward him, attempting to engulf him.

A gigantic golden fish shadow surfaced. Its enormous whiskers, resembling whips, numbered a full six. Its massive head made the entire Dragon Beard Fish look like a big-headed fish. In terms of strength, however, it was not to be underestimated.

Ye Xuecang had to use his second sword strike to completely shatter these golden bubbles, turning them into ripples of Spiritual Light that dissipated into the seawater.

The Dragon Beard Fish then urged its six whiskers forward, whipping toward him like chains of order. However, they were easily dodged by Ye Xuecang’s secondary cultivation of the Body Technique Spirit Step. Still, he was almost swept up by the surging seawater.

But when Ye Xuecang unleashed another River Breath Sword Technique, the Sword Light cleaved the lake’s water into two, revealing the enormous body of the Dragon Beard Fish. At that very moment, he summoned a golden Spirit Tower. It was exactly the Tier Four Top-Grade Magical Treasure, the Golden Tower, which Ye Jingcheng had obtained from Zhang Zhiqiu in the Earth Immortal Realm.

Once the Golden Tower enveloped the Dragon Beard Fish, which hadn’t managed to dodge in time, Ye Xuecang spoke coldly.

“Submit or die!”

“Keep dreaming, Human Race! The Primordial Shark Demon Emperor is nearby. If you kill me, the Beast Tide will definitely overturn the Star Sea!” the Dragon Beard Fish finally spoke. It struggled violently, trying to break free from the Golden Tower’s suppression.

However, after it displayed a look of disdain, murderous intent rose in Ye Xuecang’s heart. As soon as the Thunderbolt Sword Technique was executed, the Dragon Beard Fish Demon King was decapitated.

“To exhaust the might of my fourth Sword Nurturing Bottle, you have enough reason to be proud,” Ye Xuecang muttered. He didn’t dare linger or say much more, quickly storing away the Beast Soul and physical body before rapidly departing. He didn’t even collect the Spirit Medicine on the island.

Based on what the Dragon Beard Fish Demon King implied, it seemed to have seen the Primordial Shark Race; otherwise, it wouldn’t have been so certain. This meant it was very likely that the Primordial Shark Demon Emperor was nearby, so he naturally didn’t dare to delay.

He had to report this to Ye Jingcheng immediately. Otherwise, not only would they miss out on information about the Demon Emperor if he was too slow, but he could also be in danger. This was the Sea Domain, after all; the strength a Demon Emperor could unleash here was absolutely higher than that of their Cultivators.

The Spiritual Ship Ye Xuecang was piloting now was the Tier Four Top-Grade Profound Light Ship. After being modified by Prince Wang, this Spiritual Ship was not much inferior to the Dragon Envoy Flying Ship. Under the power of its nine sails, perhaps even some Golden Core Peak Demon Kings who specialized in speed wouldn’t be able to catch up.

However, before Ye Xuecang’s expression could relax, he felt as if an energy had locked onto him. Similarly, amidst the waves, countless Demon Beasts were surging toward him.

This was clearly the characteristic of a Beast Tide, and under normal circumstances, a Beast Tide had only one explanation: a Demon Emperor had appeared and was controlling it. This naturally terrified Ye Xuecang.

He had a Corpse Emperor with him, but he still had no confidence in fending them off. He could only use his Clan Token to send a message to Ye Jingcheng ahead of time. Following that, he took out all of his Magical Treasures and Spirit Talismans.
