Beast Taming Clan: I Have a Jade Book

Chapter 1505: Chapter 1083: Subduing the Primordial Shark, News of the Demon Saint

As a Spirit Treasure passed down in the Ye Family from the Spirit Realm, the Holy Spirit Tower could not only defend, suppress, and trap enemies but also manifest Holy Spirits. Its primary power lay in its ten Holy Spirits, but it also housed a significant number of ordinary Beast Shadows, making it worthy of being called a Tower of Ten Thousand Beasts. These ordinary Beast Spirits were just like the Artifact Spirits in ordinary Magical Treasures, which was enough to show the Spirit Treasure’s immense power.

Having refined two layers of the Treasure Communication Technique, Ye Jingcheng could now summon one Holy Spirit: the Bi Fang Divine Bird. This was the exact natural counter to the Primordial Shark Demon Emperor.

As Ye Jingcheng activated the Spirit Treasure, the Primordial Shark Demon Emperor was filled with terror and repeatedly cast Secret Techniques. Although the Chessboard Bead’s isolation meant there was no seawater to amplify its Secret Techniques, as the Emperor of this Sea Domain, it was naturally no pushover.

With a low ROAR, it unleashed its powerful Innate Divine Techniques. Layers of pitch-black Spirit Water abruptly appeared within the Chessboard Array. This was no ordinary Spirit Water, but the Primordial Shark Demon Emperor’s Primordial Shark Nether Water, which could be considered a Tier Five special Spirit Water. It could illusionally transform into anything—from swords and beasts to giant hands.

However, because this Spirit Water was highly inclusive but slightly weak in attack power, it was best suited for forming giant hands or Water Prison Bubbles. These Secret Techniques would grab enemies and immobilize them, turning them into easy prey on a chopping block. In the past, whenever the Primordial Shark Demon Emperor used this move, its enemies could only obediently remain bound in place. What followed—whether a smash from its tail or a tear from its fangs—would always be a bloody massacre.

But this time, it was clear that the Primordial Shark Demon Emperor was the one facing a bloody fate.

With a loud BOOM, the Holy Spirit Tower suppressed downwards. The Bi Fang Divine Bird unleashed apocalyptic flames, and the Primordial Shark Shark Emperor’s Lifebound Spirit Water seemed on the verge of boiling dry. It could not withstand a single blow.

Terrified, the demon beast repeatedly spat out massive Water Shields. Although released by the Primordial Shark, the shields looked exactly like a Profound Turtle’s Turtle Shell and boasted exceptional defense. It was evidently a Water Attribute Defense Treasure that the Demon Emperor had acquired.

In addition to this, it employed numerous other Secret Techniques. Yet, as the flames surged and the Holy Spirit Tower descended, the Bi Fang Divine Bird completely engulfed the Primordial Shark Demon Emperor. The beast immediately HOWLED in agony. Its Spirit Armor was scorched pitch-black before being sent flying by a direct smash from the Holy Spirit Tower, plunging into the distant Sea Domain.

As the Holy Spirit Tower pressed down, the Primordial Shark Demon Emperor found it impossible to move even an inch, verging on total collapse. Its strength was already average among Nascent Soul beings, and now, facing Ye Jingcheng’s strongest strike with the Holy Spirit Tower, it simply could not resist.

Its Scale Armor began to turn crimson, making it look like a green crab boiling in a hot pot. It violently convulsed and wailed in pain. Its once invincible body could not pose much of a threat at this moment; it couldn’t even manage a head-on defense.

Ye Jingcheng then directly summoned the Purple Extreme Sword. This Tier Five sword was originally meant for Ye Xuecang, but since Uncle Xuecang was only at the Late Stage of Golden Core Cultivation, this former Sect’s Treasure of the Taiyi Sect was currently wielded by Ye Jingcheng. While he wouldn’t dare use it in the Eastern Domain, he had no such reservations here in the East Wuyu Archipelago.

“I will only ask this once. Will you submit or not?” Ye Jingcheng halted the Purple Extreme Sword right in front of the Primordial Shark Demon Emperor’s forehead. The dense Sword Qi left a series of shallow cuts on its skin. The threat was palpable.

Furthermore, Ye Jingcheng wasn’t joking. If the Primordial Shark Demon Emperor refused, he would truly kill it. Giving it multiple chances was out of the question. Feeding a Tier Five Demon Emperor’s Beast Infant to his Spirit Beasts could very well help those Demon Kings break through to become Demon Emperors.

This was especially true for Ye Jingcheng’s Roc Fish, which was only a short step away from the Golden Core Peak. Furthermore, the physical materials of a Tier Five Demon Emperor were valuable Spiritual Objects that he could easily trade at future exchange meets. The only reason he planned to spare this Primordial Shark Demon Emperor was his desire to provide the Ye Clan with more Spirit Beasts, thereby accelerating the Ye Family Members’ Cultivation. After all, the Primordial Shark Demon Emperor led an entire tribe. Establishing a Soul Contract with one was equivalent to binding twelve Primordial Sharks, making it highly suitable for guarding the Ye Clan’s Sea Domain.

“I submit,” the Primordial Shark Demon Emperor agreed, feeling utterly humiliated.

Back then, the Old Cold Flood Dragon had bullied it in the exact same way, stealing its most precious Spiritual Object. Now, it was being forced into a corner once again. However, its fear of death far outweighed its sense of humiliation. It plotted inwardly, planning to lead the other Primordial Sharks away as soon as this human left.

It had heard of the Human Race’s Blood Contract, but once a Demon Beast reached the Nascent Soul stage, it formed a Beast Infant. As long as it could endure the resulting injuries, it wouldn’t need to fear a Blood Contract too much. Seeing Ye Jingcheng condense a drop of Essence Blood just as it expected, the shark felt even more relieved. This was the Blood Contract it was familiar with. Outwardly, of course, it maintained a facade of absolute sincerity.

The next moment, the drop of Essence Blood fell. To the Primordial Shark Demon Emperor’s confusion, the contract headed straight for its Beast Infant. It wondered in absolute horror what kind of contract this was.

But right at that moment, Ye Jingcheng activated the Soul Contract, instantly plunging the Primordial Shark Demon Emperor into a living hell. It felt as if its Divine Soul had been cleaved in two. The overbearing nature of the Soul Contract was on full display. Because Ye Jingcheng could sense the Demon Emperor’s Divine Soul Fluctuations, he would instantly know whatever thoughts crossed its mind.

“Fellow Daoist Primordial Shark, it seems you do not have much respect for the contract!” Ye Jingcheng said faintly.

This prompted the Primordial Shark Demon Emperor to beg for mercy. “Master, I wouldn’t dare! Please spare my life, Master,” it pleaded through its agonized HOWLS. The pain of its soul tearing apart was truly unbearable.

Seeing this, Ye Jingcheng finally nodded. It wasn’t because he felt the punishment was sufficient, but rather because outside, the Jade Qilin Flood Dragon, the Roc Fish, the Golden Falcon, and Baimei were still engaged in a standoff with the remaining Primordial Sharks. He wasn’t worried that these Primordial Sharks would hurt his Spirit Beasts; instead, he feared his Spirit Beasts would start eating the sharks.

This was especially true for the Jade Qilin Flood Dragon. Its jaws were unhinged wide, and it kept ROARING continuously. Considering its current level of Spiritual Wisdom, it could have easily spoken the human language. Putting on such a display could only mean one thing: it wanted a massive feast.

“Master, please spare the lives of my clansmen,” the Primordial Shark Demon Emperor repeatedly begged. Despite its fear of Ye Jingcheng punishing it again, it noticed that its kin were in a state no less miserable than its own. If it didn’t speak up now, they would truly be swallowed by that cold flood dragon.

“Uncle Xuecang, this Shark Emperor has been subdued,” Ye Jingcheng said with a smile.

He also asked Uncle Xuecang to establish Blood Contracts with the Late Stage of Fourth Tier and Mid-stage Fourth Tier Primordial Sharks. Although Ye Jingcheng’s Divine Soul was strong enough to support many contracts at the moment, he might need to contract many Tier Five Demon Emperors in the future. Naturally, he couldn’t just waste his Soul Contracts on any random Spirit Beast. By binding the emperor of the pack through a Soul Contract, he basically controlled the entire tribe anyway.

Letting Uncle Xuecang establish Blood Contracts with those two would give him some practice while simultaneously boosting his Cultivation speed. Uncle Xuecang had Water, Earth, and Gold Three Spirit Roots, so Water Attribute Spirit Beasts could easily stimulate his Cultivation. Once the Primordial Shark Shark Emperor was completely subdued and less likely to rebel, Ye Jingcheng even planned to transfer the Demon Emperor’s contract to Uncle Xuecang to help him break through to the Nascent Soul stage.

As for the Earth Dragon Demon Emperor, not only was its Cultivation significantly higher than Uncle Xuecang’s, but all the Earth Dragon Pill Spiritual Materials had also been gathered. When the time came, the priority would be to help the Earth Dragon Demon Emperor advance and break through to the Late Stage of Fifth Tier. Naturally, it wouldn’t have enough spare energy to stimulate Uncle Xuecang’s Cultivation.

The reason Uncle Xuecang had previously only contracted Earth Attribute and Gold Attribute Spirit Beasts was that his Affinity with Earth Spirit Roots and Golden Spirit Roots was much higher. However, Water Attribute Spirit Beasts could drive his progress just as well.

“Uncle Xuefu and Uncle Xueliang can each contract another Tier Three Primordial Shark as well,” Ye Jingcheng added.

There were six Tier Three, five Tier Four, and one Tier Five beasts here. The total number wasn’t large, but considering both Uncle Xuefu and Uncle Xueliang were getting on in years and had still stepped up for the family at a time like this, they deserved more Spirit Beasts. Furthermore, with the East Wuyu Archipelago secured, the Ye Clan was bound to acquire many more high-quality Spirit Beast Cubs in the future. For those capable of raising cubs themselves, starting from a young age was naturally the better option. These older, more intelligent Spirit Beasts were better suited for the older generation of Ye Family Members, who possessed the experience and the know-how needed to break their wild spirits.

After the simple distribution, Ye Jingcheng turned back to the Primordial Shark Demon Emperor.

“Don’t think that joining the Ye Clan is a bad thing. Let me tell you: when this Jade Qilin Flood Dragon first joined the Ye Clan, it was nothing more than a Jade Qilin Snake at the Late Stage of First Tier. When the Roc Fish first joined, it was just a Cyan Fish at the Mid-stage First Tier. The rest of these beasts also grew up within the Ye Clan. If you continue to contribute to the family, you might just secure a much brighter future for yourself,” Ye Jingcheng said.

He didn’t bother elaborating further. He knew that no matter how he phrased it, the Primordial Shark Demon Emperor would assume he was just spinning wild tales. However, once it learned more about the family, it would realize that every word he spoke today was the absolute truth.

“Where is your lair? Are there any Demon Saints nearby? That Old Cold Flood Dragon must be your enemy; in which direction is it currently located?” Seeing that the Primordial Shark Demon Emperor possessed high Spiritual Wisdom, Ye Jingcheng launched straight into his questioning. Bound by the Soul Contract, he had no fear of the beast lying to him.

“Master, my island is in the Yin Shark Sea, situated at the bottom of the ten-thousand-fathom deep ocean, where there is a Tier Five Lower Grade Spiritual Vein. As for Demon Saints… Master, Nascent Soul beings with ordinary bloodlines like us could never catch the eye of a Demon Saint. To meet one, you would have to cross over a dozen Sea Domains to reach Saint Roc Island. There resides the Thunder Roc Great Saint,” the Primordial Shark Demon Emperor said with a sigh.

The Sea Domain was vast and boundless; a single region could easily equal the size of several Cultivation Kingdoms. Hearing this, Ye Jingcheng’s mind was completely put at ease. This truly was a treasured land for the Ye Clan’s development. With this information, he only needed to watch out for those Tier Five Peak Demon Emperors. As for anything else, even if he were to face a Late Stage of Fifth Tier Demon Emperor right now, he was confident he wouldn’t lose.

“And what about the Old Cold Flood Dragon?” Ye Jingcheng asked again. He was exceptionally satisfied with the current state of affairs.

“That Old Cold Flood Dragon doesn’t have a fixed territory. I only know of it because it goes around aggressively plundering the neighboring Demon Emperor territories. It stole one of my Tier Five Daffodil Spirit Jade Fruits!” The Primordial Shark Demon Emperor couldn’t help but seethe with anger. It didn’t even know when the Old Cold Flood Dragon had first appeared near the Star Sea.

All it knew was that as soon as the beast showed up, it forcefully robbed various Spirit Medicines. Its overwhelming strength meant that ordinary Demon Emperors were simply no match for it. It was precisely because its Spirit Fruit had been stolen that its advancement had been indefinitely delayed.

“Take us to your Yin Shark Sea first.” Ye Jingcheng frowned slightly at the news. However, given the Cold Flood Dragon’s greedy nature, it was bound to return. All he had to do was stand guard at the Yin Shark Sea, and there was a high chance he would encounter it again.

Furthermore, he planned to set up a Teleportation Array in the Yin Shark Sea. On the surface, the Ye Clan was developing the East Wuyu Archipelago jointly with the Li Family. In the shadows, however, the Ye Clan’s true expansion and large-scale slaughter of Demon Beasts would take place in the Yin Shark Sea. This ensured that even the Li Family would never grasp the full extent of their operations. Most importantly, since Primordial Sharks naturally hunted vast numbers of Demon Beasts anyway, the Ye Clan’s secret collection of Beast Souls would never be exposed.
