Hidden Marriage, Overbearing Love: Mr! Please Let Me Go

Chapter 489: Chapter 490 Speaking the Facts

The luxurious dining room was filled with a variety of exquisite dishes on the long table.

When Bo Sishen walked down, Mu Shini and Bo Sishen were already seated at the dining table.

He glanced at the two of them, and a servant pulled out the chair for him. He sat down.

The atmosphere in the dining room was quite chilly. Mu Shini looked at the two men, feeling a bit restrained.

Suddenly knowing that Bao Tinghao was Bo Sishen’s nephew was still something she couldn’t quite digest. She looked up at Bo Sishen, then at Bao Tinghao.

She opened her mouth to speak, breaking the deadlock, ”Um, aren’t you going to start eating?”

This house belonged to Bo Sishen and his nephew. If they didn’t start eating, as the new member, she wouldn’t dare to eat.

”Nian Nian, are you truly willing to marry him?” Bao Tinghao abruptly asked just as Mu Shini finished speaking.

Mu Shini had just picked up the spoon, and upon hearing Bao Tinghao’s question, she was so startled that she couldn’t hold the spoon steady, which clanked against the porcelain bowl. She looked up in panic and carefully glanced at Bo Sishen.

Then she said to Bao Tinghao, ”I...”

Mu Shini’s words were cut off by Bao Tinghao, ”How could you marry my second uncle? He’s so much older than you. Regardless of age or experience, you shouldn’t choose to marry my second uncle.”

Fearing that Bao Tinghao would misunderstand, Mu Shini quickly said, ”Tinghao, I’m not marrying your second uncle for any specific reason...”

Bao Tinghao’s words made her fall into deep thought.

Marrying at her age indeed felt rushed, and marrying a man so much older than her would naturally invite criticism.

”Tinghao, is that the way you speak to your second aunt? Watch your attitude.” Bo Sishen glanced at Mu Shini and seeing her panicked look, lightly furrowed his brows. His slender fingers tapped on the smooth dining table, his face somber.

Bao Tinghao frowned deeply, side-eyeing Bo Sishen, ”Second Uncle, I’m just stating facts!”

Stating facts?

Bo Sishen raised an eyebrow, his lips curling coldly.

Wasn’t he just repeating the words he’d previously said to him, but now to Mu Shini?

”Enough, both of you stop arguing.” Mu Shini saw the two men at the dining table, seemingly about to get into a fight.

No matter how naive she was, she could sense the unusual tension between the two men and immediately tried to stop it.

She sat upright, looked steadily at Bao Tinghao, and said in a firm voice, ”Tinghao, the marriage between Bo Sishen and me was arranged from birth, and our marriage is genuine.”

She didn’t dare let Bo Sishen know about anything that had happened between her and Bao Tinghao.

If Bo Sishen found out about Bao Tinghao’s feelings for her, she feared the consequences would be unimaginable.

”Nian Nian...” Bao Tinghao frowned, looking at Mu Shini.

”Tinghao, you’re being disrespectful. This is your second aunt. How dare you call her by her name?” Bo Sishen’s eyes turned cold, his voice stern.

Bao Tinghao stubbornly glanced at Bo Sishen, ”Second Uncle, I’m full!”

With that, he stood up and left the dining room coldly.

”Young Master Tinghao!” Tan Mu, who was standing to the side, watched Bao Tinghao leave and stepped forward, calling out to him.

”Tinghao!” Mu Shini also stood up, calling after Bao Tinghao.

But as soon as she stood up, Bo Sishen’s icy voice came through, ”Sit down and eat!”

Mu Shini lowered her eyes, looked at the indifferent Bo Sishen, furrowed her brows, and said, ”Why is your nephew throwing a tantrum and not eating dinner? Aren’t you going to do anything about it?”

”Your husband is right here; you should be concerned about whether your husband is eating or not.” Bo Sishen sat elegantly on the dining chair, lifting his eyes to look at Mu Shini.
