The Urban Medical Martial Immortal

Chapter 750: Chapter 746: Colorful Soul Worm (Second Update!)

Watching Xian Jingzheng flee in haste and panic, Zhou Yadong and Leng Caiwei, who had taken shelter behind Lin Tian’s skilled figure, had faces filled with fear and unease.

Fatal contagious disease?

That means the incurable kind!

Having understood Xian Jingzheng’s words, they were naturally very afraid, feeling a chilly dread throughout their bodies.

They were medical students and had heard of many types of similar and fatal diseases, like malaria.

But now, they were facing it for the first time, and it was a matter of life and death!

They were still just students, how could they possibly stay calm?

“Master, that Xian Jingzheng is the owner of Renhuai Medical Hall who visited today! He said this person has contracted a fatal contagious disease… Should we… maybe we should…”

Zhou Yadong swallowed, his voice trembling as he reminded Lin Tian.

His meaning was clear: hurry up and get the two people out, otherwise if the disease spreads, they’re all going to die.

Hearing Zhou Yadong’s words, the middle-aged man immediately panicked.

“Please, don’t drive us away! I’ve just run around several hospitals and medical halls, and no one is willing to help. This is my last hope, please, can you call your doctor to come and take a look? If it’s really incurable, I will leave immediately!”

Holding his wife, the middle-aged man pleaded to Lin Tian and the other two, almost ready to kneel.

“I am the doctor here!”

Lin Tian looked at the man’s pained and pleading face, gestured to Zhou Yadong and Leng Caiwei to calm down, and said very composedly, “Lay her down on the couch, and I’ll take a look! What’s your name?”

“You… you are a doctor?”

The man froze, his gaze sizing up Lin Tian with full of surprise and doubt.

A teenager not yet twenty, a doctor?

It’s hard for any normal person to believe!

And seeing Lin Tian agree to take in the patient before them, Zhou Yadong and Leng Caiwei were first startled, then relieved.

They were well aware of Lin Tian’s abilities. Since he dared to take her in, he must have seen some clues.

At least the woman before them should not have the fatal contagious disease that Xian Jingzheng mentioned.

Ever since they had seen Lin Tian’s actions, the two of them had developed a sort of blind trust and admiration.

Watching the man still hesitating, Leng Caiwei urged him with a cold voice, “Mister, stop dawdling! My master is a scholar of ancient and modern times, with skills that reach the heavens. It’s your good fortune that he’s willing to help your wife. Hurry up and lay her on the sofa! If you delay, her condition might worsen!”

Listening to Leng Caiwei praise him to the skies, Lin Tian shook his head with a wry smile, then said to the man, “If your wife’s condition isn’t something that even an immortal would struggle to cure, I can mostly likely heal her! If you trust me, lay her on the sofa. If you don’t, then leave!”

“Okay, okay… Doctor, please take a look at her!”

The man, seeing Lin Tian’s resolute demeanor, as if having grasped the last life-saving straw, quickly laid his wife down on the sofa and said, “My name is Peng Quhui, and my wife is Mu Zi Zi. We own a long-distance shipping company located in BaiSea City at Southern Continent Port. We often travel at sea and also go inland to do business. She developed this condition years ago, but it was so mild we didn’t pay much attention. This time we came back to visit relatives, but didn’t expect her condition to suddenly worsen… Please, you must save her!”

Listening to Peng Quhui’s rambling and pleading, Lin Tian frowned and said, “You sit over there and don’t disturb me!”

“Okay, okay, okay…”

Peng Quhui hastily stopped in his tracks, sitting down nervously and fearfully to one side, his face filled with longing and unease, his hands constantly wringing together in a helpless manner.

It was clear that he was extremely worried about his wife, Muuu Ziyi.

Obviously, the couple was deeply in love!

Lin Tian stepped forward to feel Muuu Ziyi’s pulse, while his Divine Sense swept into her body.

“The Colorful Soul Worm! Although it’s still just a larva…”

After examining Muuu Ziyi’s body for a while, Lin Tian saw a worm radiating with seven colors deep within her body and immediately recognized it.

Lin Tian’s brows knitted slightly as he muttered to himself, “The Colorful Soul Worm is a malicious Spiritual Worm from the Cultivation World! This creature usually lives deep in the ocean, tens of thousands of meters down. Some live among mangroves, parasitizing the roots of those trees. Its body is full of poison, causing lethal damage to the human body! But under normal circumstances, it wouldn’t actively attack and enter a human body. How could there be a Colorful Soul Worm inside her? Moreover, I didn’t expect such a troublesome thing could be found on Earth! Once it enters a human body, it’s like treating the person as nutrients…”

“The main thing is, if it manages to consume all of Muuu Ziyi’s vitality, it will become accustomed to devouring humans, and the consequences would be unthinkable!”

Just thinking about the terror of this thing made even Lin Tian, always so composed, slightly change color in discomfort.

Right now, inside Muuu Ziyi’s body, the Colorful Soul larva was slowly moving, its rainbow-like tiny body glowing with a deadly brilliance, causing Lin Tian’s scalp to tingle.

If this thing grew to maturity, gaining terrifying aggression, even Lin Tian couldn’t be sure he could withstand it!

However, what gave Lin Tian a bit of relief was that this thing was still a larva, and he should be able to handle it easily for now.

As long as he forced the larva out of the body, stopping it from continuing to draw Muuu Ziyi’s vitality, then prescribing her a few medicines to nourish the body, her health could be restored to its original state.

“Carry your wife to the inner room! She has just been poisoned, perhaps because you’ve been running long voyages for years; you might have accidentally eaten something that contained the eggs of the poison worm…”

Lin Tian stood up and said to Peng Quhui.

He didn’t inquire more about the couple’s circumstances, figuring they likely carelessly consumed seafood mixed with the Colorful Soul Worm eggs while at sea.

The eggs hatched inside Muuu Ziyi’s body, turning her into a moving source of nutrients!

Meanwhile, he had already thought of a way to deal with the Colorful Soul Worm, which was to make an incision on Muuu Ziyi’s body, use True Qi and acupuncture to force out the worm, and then have Evil like Xiaotian absorb the energy from the Colorful Soul Worm to strengthen Wu Yan’s soul within the Flying Sword.

This could strengthen Wu Yan’s soul while reducing Muuu Ziyi’s pain. Although she was currently unconscious, if the Colorful Soul Worm was pressured to rampage out along the organs, she would have to endure endless agony. Muuu Ziyi might not be able to withstand it!

Even though the Colorful Soul Worm was a fatally harmful Spiritual Worm, its body energy was considerably significant. It would be wasteful not to make use of it.

“Can my wife be saved?”

Hearing that Lin Tian wanted him to carry his wife to the inner room, Peng Quhui’s face lit up with joy, but he quickly asked.

“She can be cured. In just a moment she will be better, and after you go back and recuperate for a while, she will be restored to health!”

Lin Tian, seeing the man’s anxious look, smiled and nodded: “Quickly carry her in, and then wait outside with them!”

“Okay, okay, okay… thank you, doctor!”

Peng Quhui’s face was overcome with ecstasy, tears welling up in his red eyes, wiping away tears while picking up his wife and rushing into the inner room.

Lin Tian instructed Zhou Yadong and Leng Caiwei to keep watch outside, and after Peng Quhui came out from the inner room, he began dealing with the Colorful Soul Worm.
