The Urban Medical Martial Immortal

Chapter 734: Chapter 730 Pharmacy Turmoil (Second Update)

“Let’s go with Changsheng Medical Hall!”

Lin Tian made his decision after briefly deliberating.

He hadn’t originally intended to open a medical hall just for the sake of it, but rather he had another purpose—to lure the Ghost Raising Taoist.

From Vimong Song Kan, he had already learned that the Ghost Raising Taoist was searching everywhere for treasures that could prolong life and longevity.

If the Changsheng Medical Hall were promoted well, and the Ghost Raising Taoist heard the news, he would definitely be tempted and rush over.

This was the quickest and most effective method Lin Tian could think of to find the Ghost Raising Taoist.

“Wow, Changsheng Medical Hall? That’s quite a formidable name! But, are you really going to use it?”

Yan Yanxin expressed her astonishment and glanced at Lin Tian, saying, “Don’t blame me for not warning you if others laugh at you!”

“What’s there to laugh about? The reason I’m running this medical hall is for something else altogether; I really don’t care what others think!”

Lin Tian’s expression remained calm as he shook his head.

“Whatever, it’s your business, not mine!”

Seeing that Lin Tian wasn’t taking her advice, Yan Yanxin shrugged.

Yan Yanxin drove on and soon arrived on a street called Dragon Nest Road.

The car stopped outside a brand-new storefront at a three-way intersection.

There was a considerable open space in front of this storefront, and its location was very conspicuous. Even early in the morning, there was a significant crowd.

In the vicinity, there were also a Western clinic and a Traditional Chinese Medicine hall.

Lin Tian stepped out of the car, surveyed the surroundings and the storefront, and nodded in satisfaction.

This time Yan Yanxin had indeed done a remarkable job. Upon entering the medical hall, he noticed that all sorts of equipment had already been placed neatly in position.

Business licenses and various documents were also neatly arranged.

However, Lin Tian never really intended to actually treat people, so these tools might not even be needed.

And even if he did treat people, he wouldn’t need all this equipment; a few silver needles would largely suffice.

“How did you get all this equipment?”

Lin Tian walked around inside the medical hall and casually asked Yan Yanxin.

“Hmph, don’t forget, my family has many interests in the medical field. A little thing like this is easy to get!”

Yan Yanxin replied proudly, tilting her head back slightly, “What’s your plan moving forward? Are you going to sit in the clinic alone? Traditional Chinese Medicine isn’t something you can just dabble in. Do you need me to find a few old experts to hold the fort here?”

“No need, you just have to help me with two things! First, take care of the signboard for the medical hall, make it Changsheng Medical Hall!”

Not being familiar with Liiu Yuan City, Lin Tian continued, “Secondly is the promotion, just aggressively promote that this place can resurrect the dead and has Cultivation Techniques and medicines that can prolong life…”

“What?”

Yan Yanxin’s eyes widened as she looked at Lin Tian in astonishment, “Getting the signboard is easy, no big deal! Promotion isn’t an issue either, our Yan Family’s channels are among the best throughout the Southern Continent… But… But are you asking me to help you publicize that there are longevity Secret Techniques here? With a Changsheng Medical Hall, you really dare to claim longevity!”

“Erm… true immortality doesn’t exist! However, as long as they take my medicine, I can still produce elixirs that prolong life by three to five years, or even up to a dozen years. Even a lifespan of sixty more years isn’t impossible!”

Seeing Yan Yanxin’s immeasurable excitement, Lin Tian hurriedly explained patiently, “Just follow my advertising strategy, and leave the rest to me!”

“Another sixty years of lifespan… Are you thinking this is a TV drama? Humph, don’t think because you know some powerful Cultivation Techniques, you can really create an Elixir of Immortality. Don’t end up like those ancient Taoists who deceived emperors and harmed people!”

Yan Yanxin warned Lin Tian and continued, “Also, I don’t have time to gather various Chinese herbal medicines for you, you need to handle that yourself. You must bring them back, otherwise when people come to seek treatment and you don’t even have medicines, you’re just going to turn them away—that’s the best-case scenario. I’m afraid some might even come knocking with complaints…”

Hearing this, Lin Tian couldn’t help but nod.

Since they had announced it to the public, ultimately they had to treat people and run the clinic—it wouldn’t do to just push people away.

Anyway, if the Ghost Raising Taoist hadn’t shown up by early August, they would have to give up the plans.

Thinking this, Lin Tian said, “Then I’ll leave the matter of the signboard to you, I’ll go get some Chinese herbal medicines!”

Lin Tian left the medical hall. He intended to personally gather some basic medicinal herbs. With his techniques, whether boiling or refining, his remedies would certainly be more effective than any other medicine currently available in the world for treating minor ailments of ordinary people, sufficient to handle routine patients.

Initially, he thought about calling Chang Ying to help but eventually decided against it.

It was too far from Liiu Rong District, and he didn’t want to trouble her just for some herbs.

As for Zheng Han, Lin Tian was too lazy to trouble him as well, fearing the old man would make a huge fuss and come rushing over, which he didn’t have time for.

He called Huang Juun to inquire, then took a taxi to the largest Chinese herbal medicine store in Liiu Yuan City.

The facade of the herbal medicine store was quite large, with traditional architecture that radiated an ancient charm.

Early in the morning, the store was already bustling with a large crowd of people coming to purchase herbal medicines.

Lin Tian walked in and glanced around, noting large antique medicine cabinets on all sides, clearly indicating the old and reputable nature of the store.

Reaching a large counter, Lin Tian said to the clerk handling the medicines, “Give me one jin of each type of Chinese herb in your store…”

This decision had been made by Lin Tian on the road; one jin of each type was already quite a lot, and he felt that it wouldn’t be needed that much.

With various types, it would at least amount to a hundred jin.

“Ah, one jin of each?”

The clerk was surprised, as it was his first time encountering someone purchasing such a mass of important varieties.

“Yes, hurry up,”

Lin Tian affirmed with a nod.

The clerk was swift in his actions and turned to start busily preparing Lin Tian’s medicines.

“Damn it, you two mixed up even the basic medicines… My Hua’er, what are we to do…”

Suddenly, an outcry of anger and lament came from the medicinal picking area of the store, followed by a loud wail, “Hua’er, please hold on! Brother Tan, is there really nothing to be done? You must save Hua’er!”

The commotion inside immediately drew many customers who gathered around.

Curious, Lin Tian couldn’t help but take a few steps forward to look inside.

He saw a fourteen- or fifteen-year-old girl lying on a sofa in the medicine picking area, her eyes tightly closed, her complexion deathly pale, quietly lying there.

Beside her was a middle-aged man crying out to her while pleading with a man in Tang suit standing nearby.

Moreover, next to the middle-aged man stood a young man and woman, both about twenty, their heads lowered in silence.

“Ah, Boss Sun is such a good person, how could his daughter be like this, afflicted by such a strange illness, yet incurable!”

“Yes, he’s such a good person, we thought that inviting Master Tan would cure her, but his two apprentices accidentally grabbed the wrong medicine, causing Lady Sun to be poisoned, worsening her condition further—it’s adding insult to injury…”

“Ah, it’s such a tragedy…”

Many people in the store sighed and murmured.
