One-Eyed Monster

After Igor and his group left Stanley’s carriage, they returned to the clowns’ caravan.

Along the way, the members of the Circus naturally whispered about them.

Both the elite and the apprentices were well aware of what had just happened. After all, there are no secrets under the sky, and Kadi’s outburst was quite loud.

Most people heard what Kadi was complaining about at the time. The elites naturally wouldn’t be too affected, but the apprentices might be. And since the elite in this Circus were few, the apprentices made up the majority. Someone like Green Nose, who hadn’t yet graduated from the clown apprentice stage, was naturally hit hard, with their mind in a mess at that moment. Although other apprentices who had been clowns before weren’t completely shaken, the influence was evident as they whispered among themselves, discussing Kadi’s tirade, while also worrying about the fate of those few people.

Captain Stanley carried significant weight in the Circus, and no one dared to question his words. The fact that this new clown dared to roar like this was truly imprudent.

Of course, those who had been in the Circus for a long time knew that the root of the trouble was instigated by that Brava clown.

Otherwise, the new one wouldn’t have roared like this, surely influenced by Brava.

But this Brava, for so long, hasn’t the captain exerted any authority over him?

Yet, this wasn’t their current focus. They began a new round of discussions as they saw Igor and his group coming out, and some even started a bet. They were betting on who would be kicked out of the Circus by the captain.

At present, more people were betting on Kadi being the one kicked out. After all, no one could doubt the captain’s words in this Circus!

Thus, even though Igor and his group hadn’t walked far, they bore the concerned gazes of many.

Who would pack their luggage and be kicked out was what many eagerly wanted to know!

However, Igor and his group never packed their bags. Those three called by the captain acted as if nothing happened.

Neither the elites nor the apprentices expected that the captain’s way of handling things turned out to be doing nothing!

Members with vibrant red hair, due to being part of the same team, were the first to learn the captain’s decision, and they breathed a sigh of relief. It was important to them that the newcomers could remain as companions because the clown team couldn’t be too large. This meant that if more newcomers joined, some among them could graduate from this group!

”I want to know what the captain said about that matter...” The one with red hair leaned in, as they were concerned about the content of Kadi’s outburst.

”You should ask him about it!” Kadi pointed impatiently to Quinn beside him; he didn’t want to delve into the topic of forgetting oneself, as it was something he despised.

”I’m sorry, it was my misunderstanding!” Quinn apologized to his companions with a bow.

”He didn’t do it on purpose. The captain said forgetting oneself means letting everyone forget their temper because we can’t bring our emotions into the performance no matter what!” Igor explained.

Igor was eager because he had other questions to ask these Circus people.

The question was about Lord Bern.

Igor was puzzled why a recommendation letter from Lord Bern could get someone unconditionally into the Circus, and why someone recommended by Lord Bern couldn’t be casually dismissed!

”Oh, so that’s how it is, meaning what we should do is become the role and then forget ourselves!” Green Nose said nearby.

”Isn’t it the same thing though!” Someone with a mournful expression summarized.

Indeed, it’s the same as with Brava. Brava turns entirely into a clown once made up, and after removing makeup, remembers nothing...

”That should be it!” Igor scratched his head; he wasn’t concerned about this issue.

Quinn listened on the side, gritting his teeth inwardly, but he had no choice. For the greater good, he had to endure watching the longstanding seeding results within the Circus being toppled.

He felt the need to inform Stanley so the elite could be prepared, without being influenced by these people again.

Though Quinn knew the possibility of it happening was slim, he still felt it necessary to be cautious.

”So... what should we do next?” The one with the mournful face suddenly felt a bit lost about his future. He had thought he had mastered the path to becoming elite, but now he was confused again.

”The captain says we should keep the status quo, everything is on track, and what’s meant to come will come; it’s just that some things are not the time yet!”

Igor continued to maintain a friendly approach with these guys.

”Alright then!” Redhead sighed, clearly satisfied with the result.

People who are traveling smoothly would feel quite unsettled after encountering a change. Redhead just went through one, but fortunately, the outcome was without peril, his trajectory unharmed, just a small stone tripping them.

Honestly, with a clear conscience, the method mentioned by that burly newcomer was indeed effective. Unfortunately, it was a misinterpretation of the captain’s intent. What a pity.

Now Redhead no longer held a favorable view of Igor and them. He felt these two guys were just pebbles on their path.

The captain should really dismiss these two...

This upheaval ended inconclusively, and the Circus embarked on a new journey.

Those who lost the bet were now gnashing their teeth, channeling their resentment entirely onto Igor and Kadi, labeling them as the misfits of the Circus, naturally associating them with Brava.

Igor tried several times to discuss with Green Nose and the others but was met with closed doors, forcing him to abandon the idea.

It seemed these people already had a strong sentiment against them!

Helpless, Igor had to slowly approach Brava with Kadi.

This was his last hope, anyway, since they were already categorized, he might as well make the most of this outlier status.

Brava, at this moment, was driving the carriage. When he saw Igor and Kadi running behind, he deliberately slowed down the horse...
