One-Eyed Monster

Stan Sol was pleased because of his instinct; as an ancient Hunter, he was naturally sensitive to these rare things. Moreover, as a proud member of the Sol Family, he always liked to take on impossible challenges.

The Sword Spirit on Igor’s sword seemed like an untamable and elusive creature in Stan Sol’s eyes. Therefore, he was determined to try capturing this Sword Spirit.

And Kadi’s set of Butterfly Blades had not yet developed a Spirit, but once the time was right, these twin blades would undoubtedly produce an exceptional Spirit.

Stan Sol was full of anticipation.

At the same time, Stan Sol was even more expectant of Master Lao.

As long as Master Lao could continuously craft new weapons, these weapons might bring forth Spirits. By then, the Sol Family members could all undergo such hunting training, what a wonderful experience that would be!

Thinking of this, Stan Sol couldn’t help but feel intoxicated…

Igor, watching the dazed Stan Sol, couldn’t help recalling the first time he met this guy. Back then, Stan Sol wasn’t as talkative as he was now, he was just a silent person, giving off an aura of cold indifference. However, this guy always had treasures on him, constantly taking out something novel that left Igor and the others dazzled. But now, Stan Sol seemed like a different person, very talkative, lacking the previous mysterious aura, even making Igor feel that after achieving his goals, Stan seemed more ordinary… Yet today, Stan’s demeanor reminded Igor of the mysteriousness that once surrounded Stan Sol, the unique experiences of an Ancient Hunter. A newly crafted sword appeared entirely different in the eyes of an Ancient Hunter, even leaving the master craftsman who forged it dumbfounded.

Igor glanced at the Meteor, then looked at the excited Stan Sol, and although reluctant, he spoke up: ”If you really like this sword, I’ll give it to you!”

Igor’s generosity also surprised the master craftsman, especially compared to Kadi, who tightly held onto his twin blades. Igor, when offering his Meteor, did not even bat an eye.

Kadi opened his mouth wide, he could hear the Sword Spirit making a whimpering sound of reluctance; sending off one’s weapon like this was indeed unexpected.

Stan Sol smiled wryly, knowing that his display had caused Igor to misunderstand—his excitement wasn’t because he liked this sword, he felt the need to explain to Igor: ”This is your sword, your Sword Spirit, you must take good care of it, it’s not something I can have.”

”But you like it!” Igor scratched his head.

”I do like it, but not in the way you think. What I like is the future hunting process, I think the master should understand what I mean!” Stan Sol turned to Master Lao for help.

Understanding Stan Sol’s words, the master realized that this guy was interested in the hunting process he mentioned, not in the sword itself. Since Sol sought his help, he couldn’t refuse.

”This sword belongs to you, Igor, you have every right to decide its fate, but you can’t just give it away like that!”

”I just wanted to give it to a friend, though I am a little reluctant in my heart.” Igor gently stroked the sword, which responded with gentle sounds.

”Sol does like this sword, but what he likes more is the Sword Spirit. If you give away the sword, the Sword Spirit might scatter, and Sol would also be distressed…” The master looked at Sol, feeling his explanation was close to Sol’s thinking.

”That’s right, if the Sword Spirit is lost, our agreement will be void, then I won’t be able to attempt capturing this Sword Spirit, losing much of its meaning!” Stan Sol added, he couldn’t say he liked the Sword Spirit, merely the process of capturing it.

Igor frowned, carefully contemplating the words of the master and Stan Sol.

Kadi shook his head at the side, finding the situation overly complicated and hardly bearable.

”Can’t you all stop dawdling? Igor, don’t always think about giving away your sword, you should consider how to protect it, don’t think your sword doesn’t need protection, look at my Butterfly Blades, how brightly they shine now!”

Kadi’s Butterfly Blades gleamed brightly under the firelight, an intense glow that made Igor’s heart tremble, realizing he had been so caught up in conversation that he hadn’t properly maintained the sword. The previous battles had left some marks on it, it needed polishing and care!

Igor blamed himself for his negligence, then he began to carefully inspect the Meteor.

Kadi’s words reminded Igor and put an end to the sword-giving commotion; Stan Sol also breathed a long sigh of relief.

While Igor was polishing the Meteor, Stan Sol slowly approached Kadi…

Seeing Stan Sol’s smiling face, Kadi immediately extended his hand, his face serious: ”Stop! Don’t think about my Butterfly Blades, I won’t let you see them.”

”You’re so guarded!” Stan Sol was clearly surprised by Kadi’s reaction.

”I’m not like Igor; I’m very attentive to my weapons, never hand them out lightly.”

”Uh… you know, I don’t need weapons, I have my Sharkmon and Battle Pet Fiery Blaze…”

”You’re you, I’m me, we don’t interfere with each other.” Kadi clearly maintained a cautious stance.

”Alright, you’re tough, I just wanted to say if your Butterfly Blades ever develop Spirits, let me try hunting them.”

”Hmph, if you have the skills, you can try capturing them yourself; I’m not silly enough to hand them over like Igor.” Kadi smiled wryly, clearly not completely rejecting Stan Sol’s request, nor entirely agreeing to it.

Kadi and Igor really weren’t the same kind of people!

Stan Sol sighed; visiting here had been quite fruitful, and in the future, he would have more tasks at hand. It seemed only natural to help his elder brother and for his family.

”Don’t look at me like that, I think you should also start preparing for your own matters!” Seeing Stan Sol’s dazed expression, Kadi became somewhat uncomfortable and reminded his old friend of the tasks at hand.

Stan Sol finally snapped out of it, realizing he had gotten overly excited, nearly forgetting the original purpose of their meeting.
