One-Eyed Monster

The Witch Spirit, Kuruto, was forgotten just like that, seemingly forgotten by everyone. Its master had abandoned it, the body it once occupied had been taken by others, and now it was alone, nothing. In the end, even those who once stood with it didn’t take it along when they retreated.

Was it too insignificant? Or was it simply overlooked? From the start until now, it had been right here, aware of everything that had happened, yet these people dared to ignore it! Even the current Alchemy Workshop was ignoring its existence! It was the Witch Spirit of Witch Bigas, one of the Six Sage Wizards, yet a bunch of alchemists were ignoring it! This was just preposterous! Normally, its master would have given these alchemists a lesson to calm his rage! But its master wasn’t here, and it could only be treated as a captive—an accidental one at that! Now it found it hard to vent its frustrations and could only await silently for the summons from its master.

However, it had made some significant gains during this time. It figured out that the conflict on this mountain was an internal dispute within the Alchemy Workshop and learned that they were researching something called a Spirit Core. This information was crucial, and many in the Wizard Alliance were eager to obtain it.

Thinking that its master would praise it for this information made it overjoyed. Perhaps it was during this gleeful period that it forgot its own identity, causing everyone to neglect it.

No matter, these things were no longer important. It had already been taken by the people from the Alchemy Workshop and was about to descend the mountain. As for what would happen after descending the mountain, no one knew.

In any case, it was an overlooked creature; no one cared about its future.

It couldn’t hate its master, because its master had created it, and it couldn’t rebel. So, it directed all its hatred towards others. It particularly hated Igor because the young boy had driven it out of Hustace’s body. Its current transparent state was entirely thanks to Igor. It also hated the One-Eyed Monster, who was always chattering and saying the very words it was about to utter, causing it to be completely overlooked.

Now that it thought about it, it was strange how the One-Eyed Monster always seemed to say what it was about to say. It was utterly bizarre. It hadn’t even gotten the words out itself before the monster blurted them out. It even wondered if the One-Eyed Monster was stealing its words... This world was indeed fascinating. Anything could happen. Even the notion that its words were being stolen seemed plausible...

And so, the Witch Spirit, Kuruto, slowly began to conjure a curse in its heart. It wanted to curse those who had forgotten it.

The curses of Witch Spirits are always extraordinary—they are genuine curses. Even across vast distances, their curses still have an effect. Perhaps not a strong one, but there will still be a slight effect.

Kuruto was now following the team from the Alchemy Workshop down the mountain. It hadn’t expected the team to be so large.

Leaving aside the Alchemy Workshop’s team for now, let’s turn to Kuruto’s curse. The curse floated lazily in the sky, searching for the sun and its target with equal languor. But the target was not easy to find; it seemed to be moving very quickly, making it difficult for the curse to even focus on finding the sun. However, a curse is a curse. No matter how hard the target was to find, it was destined to have an effect. These were spells Kuruto had created—a type of abandoned magic, now haphazardly exerting its influence...

ACHOO!

A loud sneeze echoed in mid-air. It was far too loud, deafeningly so, shaking the entire mountain range.

The origin of this great sneeze was Kadi. This One-Eyed Monster kept rubbing his nose, as if something had crawled into it, making it itch. He couldn’t help but sneeze again.

ACHOO—

Another loud sound, completely unanticipated, like a sudden clap of thunder. It was very unsettling.

But this time, it wasn’t Kadi who made the noise, but Igor. Just like Kadi, the noise he made was both sudden and loud, making everyone feel uncomfortable.

At that moment, Kadi and Igor had already been teleported by Stan Sol’s Teleportation Spell to another location on Guru Mountain. They couldn’t tell where they were, but they still had a distinct feeling that they were on this mountain range and hadn’t completely left.

”Did you two catch a cold?” The monsters of Guru Mountain still cared enough to inquire about Kadi and Igor’s thunderous sneezes.

”Perhaps they’re a bit sensitive to this place; after all, we ourselves have had to deal with what happened here for a long time,” a monster calmly analyzed.

Apparently, they had now arrived somewhere else: Kevin’s location. This place used to be Twin Peaks, the most magical place on the entire Guru Mountain.

Kevin, along with Simon and others, had come here earlier to assist the monsters previously guarding Twin Peaks. But there were some things they were powerless to change, so they could only watch helplessly. However, before they had a chance to see much, a yellow light fell onto Kevin, and what happened next became clear.

This yellow light slowly formed a pale yellow circle around Kevin, from which familiar faces began to appear. Yes, Stan Sol’s Teleportation Spell landed next to Kevin. It happened subtly, yet seemed entirely as it should be.

”Oh, my God!” Some monsters still found it unbelievable. After all, it was their first time experiencing such a long-distance teleportation. It was natural for them to be a little astounded. But their surprise didn’t last. It was soon interrupted by Kadi and Igor’s sneezes.

Igor and Kadi’s sneezes echoed, one after another—deafening and infuriating.

”What... what’s going on?” Kevin asked suddenly. But at that moment, the others couldn’t tell if his question was about Kadi and Igor’s sneezing or the sudden appearance of others in this location.

ACHOO, ACHOO—

The others were still pondering, but the sneezes from Igor and Kadi came one after another, showing no mercy.

These sneezes were truly ill-timed.
