One-Eyed Monster

The current situation was quite unusual. The Moonflow Stream seemed uneventful, but undercurrents were surging beneath the surface. Although these undercurrents were not significant in scale, they still carried considerable momentum.

Unfortunately, these undercurrents were restrained, unable to unleash their full might.

The Alchemy Workshop wanted to capture Kadi, but they dared not act rashly due to the Great Mentor’s presence.

The monsters of Guru Mountain wanted to give the people from the Alchemy Workshop a good beating, but the Great Mentor’s Fog Elixir had temporarily rendered them motionless. It was unclear how long the elixir’s effect would last.

Kadi and the Great Mentor, too, wanted to act. Kadi’s proposal had intrigued the Great Mentor, causing him to hesitate. This indecisiveness gave others an opportunity to become restless.

This opportunity was hard to come by and should not be wasted. Everyone knew the Great Mentor’s defenses were not easily breached; they were very clear about this from experience.

The restless people each had their own intentions. Whether unable to move or not having received orders, everyone was watching.

A strange atmosphere danced in the air. This uncanny atmosphere had changed several times on this mountain. Each change generated a powerful momentum, but unfortunately, this momentum was always unintentionally eroded by others.

The individuals who eroded this momentum most were none other than Igor... um, along with his companions...

Stan Sol was now Igor’s companion. He was steadily carrying out his secret technique. Ever since Kadi had entered the scenario, Stan Sol had felt very melancholic. But amidst his melancholy, he suddenly made a new discovery.

This new discovery came from Kadi. Kadi’s unique physique, akin to a vessel, allowed him to carry others’ Spirit Power around. Sometimes, it even connected the Spirit Power of two people, acting as a bridge. Kadi himself didn’t know why he possessed these abilities; they were simply instinctive responses from his body.

Stan Sol’s initial plan was to have Kadi approach the Great Mentor’s Spirit Defense circle while carrying the Sharkmon. The Sharkmon would then create an opening, and Kadi would integrate the Great Mentor’s Spirit Power. However, as soon as Kadi touched the Spirit Defense circle, he was absorbed into its center, completely severing contact. There were occasional, sporadic insights, but it was difficult to perceive the complete Spirit Power.

But as time passed, everything began to take a bizarre turn. Firstly, the Sharkmon, a creature that fed on Spirit Power, surprisingly showed no reaction at this moment, even exhibiting a hint of fear.

This feeling was peculiar, like a foodie suddenly facing his favorite food not only with indifference but also with a touch of dread. This phenomenon was exceptionally strange.

Secondly, the Great Mentor’s Spirit Defense circle was gradually weakening. Stan Sol found this strange when he discerned it. Had the Great Mentor deliberately weakened the Spirit Defense, or was Kadi’s intended function truly working?

These two abnormalities had Stan Sol stumped. However, after spending some time with Igor and Kadi, he had developed their somewhat questionable habit: no matter how bizarre or impossible the situation, they remained committed to their plan and had to continue without any hesitation.

That is to say, in all things, one must simply act. Only by acting can one achieve results; inaction yields nothing. Kadi exemplified this. He was adept at charging forward relentlessly, casting all else aside.

Heavily influenced by Kadi and Igor, Stan Sol didn’t dwell on the strange peculiarities. He directly began his mantra. The mantra required a brief preparation period, during which he still had enough surplus Spirit Power to communicate with Kadi.

His intention was rather simple: to have Kadi, the ’container,’ momentarily stabilize the Great Mentor. Once Stan Sol was ready, he would teleport them away from this place of conflict.

This place might have appeared serene, but after everything that had happened, it no longer held its original charm; it had gradually acquired other, more complex meanings.

These, however, were irrelevant matters. Stan Sol’s primary concern now was to stabilize Kadi and the Great Mentor. In his eyes, Kadi was the current unpredictable element, so erratic that it was impossible to judge his next move. Therefore, stabilizing Kadi was of paramount importance.

Stan Sol disseminated his Spirit Power, intending to communicate with Kadi, hoping Kadi would play a significant role at this crucial moment.

Stan Sol gently knocked on the door to Kadi’s heart, which was currently closed. Stan Sol’s remaining Spirit Power spun restlessly inside it but was entirely suppressed by Kadi. The supporting Spirit Power momentarily couldn’t enter, leaving Stan Sol in an awkward position. When did Kadi learn to control this vessel? How could he even tighten the cap like this?...

’Persistence grinds an iron rod to a needle.’ From a young age, Stan Sol had been told never to give up easily. So, he knocked on Kadi’s door again. This time, Kadi finally showed a slight reaction. Stan Sol’s Spirit Power within Kadi’s body began to respond gradually, providing a glimmer of comfort to Stan Sol. However, Kadi still hadn’t completely accepted this external Spirit Power; it seemed Kadi had become more vigilant at this moment.

But if he couldn’t get in, it meant he couldn’t communicate. This troubled Stan Sol deeply. Time is money, time is life. At this moment, with the situation on the mountain so complicated, how can I afford to waste time? Stan Sol refused to be deterred by this strangeness and knocked on Kadi’s door again.

Perseverance paid off. Kadi finally opened the door of his vessel with a SQUEAK, and Stan Sol’s Spirit Power swept inside.

”What’s the matter? Can’t you see I’m busy persuading the Great Mentor?” The moment Stan Sol entered, Kadi started to complain, feeling incredibly busy and unwilling to be bothered by other matters.

”Our plan!” Stan Sol found it unbelievable that Kadi had forgotten their plan.

”Plan? Everything is fine right now. What’s the need for a plan?”

That ’everything is fine’ remark thoroughly confused Stan Sol. What on earth does he mean, ’everything is fine’? It’s clearly all a mess.

”Fine? How so?” Stan Sol and Kadi thus began to communicate using Spirit Power, their disjointed conversation painting a peculiar picture.

Even though time was crucial, some things still had to be clarified…
