Our Family Has Fallen

Chapter 390: Chapter 277: Really Not Familiar_1

The overt spiritual fluctuations made it clear to anyone that she was wielding Divine Arts, and Amanda, with her vast combat experience, couldn’t possibly be unaware of this.

She had originally thought it was the same Divine Arts as before and had prepared herself to block it, but this time, something was different.

A beam of light shot out. It arrived almost instantly, exploding in a blaze right in front of her. Before Amanda could react, she was engulfed in a blinding flash.

Although the light disappeared in the next second, the effects of the Divine Arts were quite evident on her.

Amanda was blinded by the intense light. Her vision was still an expanse of white, and the pain in her eyes uncontrollably brought tears to her cheeks.

”Hahaha! Even you have days like this,” Tamara exclaimed excitedly. As long as she saw Amanda in misfortune, she was happy. That hundred Gold Coins was well spent.

But Amanda was no ordinary person. The sound of laughter immediately revealed Tamara’s location. They were originally not far apart, and now Amanda lifted her hand and twisted her wrist. In an instant, a Flying Dagger was thrown.

This time, Tamara’s joy turned to sorrow. In her condition, how could she possibly dodge it?

”Ah!” The sharp Flying Dagger pierced through her clothes and lodged in her shoulder, forcing a cry of pain from her lips.

If the wound had been any lower, it would have hit her heart. The encounter was far from over. The supernatural power attached to the Flying Dagger erupted, causing the already weakened Tamara to collapse, unable to even stand.

The Nun immediately rushed over, disregarding everything else.

She had never learned any battlefield first aid. Facing such a situation, she simply pulled out the Flying Dagger. Blood gushed from the shoulder, soaking her clothes. Meanwhile, Tamara, unable to control herself, coughed up blood, froth dribbling from the corner of her mouth.

It hurts... Am I going to die... What about my money... What about my collection...

But the Nun dared to pull the dagger out for a reason: she might not understand medical treatment, but she knew Divine Arts. She raised her hand, and divine power poured into the wound. The previously dangerous injury remarkably healed by more than half in a short time, but the healing power then waned.

Considering the state of the wound, it would probably take two or three more treatments to completely heal.

However, the problem was that Amanda had already recovered from her blindness and would not allow the Nun to continue performing Divine Arts.

”Don’t mind me, finish her off!” Tamara urged, despite the intense pain.

The Nun realized she had no chance to continue healing Tamara. She quickly grabbed her mallet and turned to face an angry Amanda.

Originally, Amanda was confident she could handle these two. The earlier scuffle with the Nun had just been a probe. However, she hadn’t expected to fall for a trick, which was somewhat embarrassing.

Now, Amanda held nothing back. She didn’t intend to engage in melee combat but raised her hand, manifesting a black sphere with a golden base out of thin air.

It appeared to be about the same size as the Crystal Ball Tamara had held. Gazing at it felt like falling into an endless, sinking vortex.

”That’s the ’Black Goddess of Fate.’ It grants her attacks supernatural power and stuns the enemy,” Tamara, having recovered a bit, warned the Nun.

However, this item was no match for a Wizard’s Evil God statue. The Nun had even withstood one of those, so naturally, this sphere wouldn’t have much effect on her. She quickly regained her composure after a momentary daze.

But Amanda’s ritual was already complete. Her left hand supported the black crystal ball while her right hand repeatedly flung Flying Daggers. Unlike her previous blind shots, these daggers accurately targeted the Nun.

The Nun had wanted to charge forward, but now she could only raise her arms to protect her head.

In theory, these Flying Daggers shouldn’t have been able to penetrate her armor. Unexpectedly, however, the seemingly ordinary daggers pierced right through it.

Fortunately, the armor still offered some protection, and the wounds weren’t deep. However, the supernatural power imbued in the daggers burst forth, sending the Nun into a state of weakness and dizziness.

It was the kind of power Tamara had mentioned. All these daggers were imbued with supernatural power...

But at that moment, it was too late for the Nun to think. Immobile, she fell to the ground, unconscious.

With just one move, Amanda had dealt with the Nun. Still, she dared not rashly kill someone from the Church, so she merely incapacitated her. Then, she turned her attention to Tamara, who was half-lying on the ground, supporting herself with one hand.

Spellcasting ability? How could she possibly...

Seeing the disheveled Tamara, Amanda couldn’t help but smile. It seemed both of them took pleasure in the other’s misfortune.

”You really thought I’d come unprepared, didn’t you? You’re used to seeing me scurry away like a mouse. The fact that you dared to stay and wait for me told me you were up to something,” Amanda remarked. She advanced towards Tamara with poised strides, each step creating ripples across her chest.

A triumphant smile surfaced on her face. They knew each other too well; some things didn’t even require a thought to be guessed.

During the recent fight, Amanda had pretended that Tamara had blocked her spellcasting ability, only revealing it when dealing with the Nun.

”Looks like I win,” Amanda stated, stepping in front of Tamara. One hand on her hip in a pose, the other toying with a Flying Dagger, she said, ”Goodbye, my dear sister.”

Although Amanda was pleased, she wasted no time on idle talk. Just as she flung the dagger, her motion halted involuntarily. She looked towards another direction.

Her reaction made Tamara disregard her injuries and look back. Upon seeing the newcomer, her face instantly lit up with a surprised joy—a glimmer of the will to survive.
