Our Family Has Fallen

Chapter 388: Chapter 266: Fratricide_1

Seeing her teammate injured, the Nun instinctively wanted to use Divine Arts, but she remembered the warning from before and suppressed the thought.

However, Tamara didn’t go down just like that. An item on her person took effect, quickly calming the restless Spiritual Essence.

Meanwhile, the enemy’s carriage slowly made its way there, eventually stopping in the clearing and creating a stark confrontation with Tamara’s carriage.

Of course, the person in the carriage didn’t see it that way.

”HEHEHE~ Not running anymore?”

A very frivolous laugh came from the carriage. From the relaxed tone, one could tell that Tamara’s counterattack had had no effect at all. The pursuer didn’t seem to be chasing an enemy but rather enjoying a casual outing.

The Nun hiding inside the carriage seemed to recognize the female voice. The enemy is a woman?

But Tamara paid no attention to this and continued to gather her spirits, placing her hand directly on the Crystal Ball.

Unaware of what had transpired, the Nun only knew that the other side had also fallen silent; a new round of confrontation had begun.

”Idiot! You fell for it, didn’t you?” Tamara’s lips suddenly curled into a sneer. Matched with her weakened complexion, it looked rather ferocious. She hurriedly explained to the Nun, ”Her Spiritual Essence is disturbed by my interference and is restless. She won’t be able to use Casting Spells for at least a short time. But that bastard will definitely come close. I’ll go down and lure her out—you get ready to strike.”

Indeed, the heavy blow just then had been bait she had laid. Only in this way could she get the enemy to lower her guard and step into the trap, even if Tamara herself had truly been affected in the skirmish.

One had to admit, Tamara was truly ruthless, seemingly willing to risk everything. It was unclear what kind of grudge she held against her pursuer to warrant such desperation.

Tamara downed a bottle of an unknown Potion. A pained expression, visible to the naked eye, crossed her face, but there was no time to care about that. If it meant killing that bastard, these losses were bearable.

After the Potion took effect, her complexion visibly improved as if she were reinvigorated. She took several deep breaths to stabilize her condition, though it still seemed somewhat forced.

After repeated injuries, how could she recover with just a small Potion? But at that moment, she had no other choice. Supporting herself with the Crystal Ball, she stepped out of the carriage.

”Hmph! Amanda, if you have the guts to chase me, why don’t you have the guts to open your door?”

Silence. It seemed the previous confrontation had indeed put her opponent into a crisis.

Just then, the carriage door opened. Before the person appeared, her sphere did.

Ripples spread with her movements. As the woman jumped down from the carriage, a startling scene unfolded.

Her exposed northern hemisphere was turbulent—no, it was a raging tempest, endlessly assaulting the onlookers’ vision.

Even Tamara was momentarily distracted by such an entrance, but she quickly refocused on the woman named Amanda.

The woman had delicate features. Her rich, deep brown, wavy hair was alluring, and her every smile and frown seemed to carry a special charm.

She was slightly taller than Tamara. Her figure was more voluptuous but didn’t appear overweight; instead, it displayed a certain athleticism.

Unlike Tamara’s conservative dress, Amanda’s attire was quite generous. A bustier lifted her ample bosom, while her lower half was clad only in a short, dance-style skirt that didn’t extend beyond her thighs, paired with black boots that wrapped around her sturdy calves.

Whether it was the light gauze head covering or her clothes and short skirt, all adorned with gold tracing, it was clearly a matching set.

Although there were noticeable differences in their attire, both were adorned with a variety of jewelry. Amanda’s brown skin, different from that of the Imperial People, revealed she too was a Romani.

Why was Tamara, a Romani, being pursued by Amanda, who was also Romani?

However, Tamara had no intention of wasting words and immediately began to twirl her Crystal Ball.

Amanda also wasted no words. Head high and chest out, she charged forward, a long whip in hand, lashing out immediately.

Despite carrying such a significant burden, Amanda’s movements showed no hesitation. Instead, they were fluid, displaying Extraordinary agility.

The whip lashed out, instantly shortening the final bit of distance between them. Just as Tamara was about to be hit, she showed no intention of dodging.

CLANG! The tip of the whip struck Tamara but seemed to shatter a mirror. The standing figure fragmented and disappeared, just like a reflection.

”Tsk. Illusion magic.” Amanda didn’t seem surprised. She didn’t even bother to look around, simply flicking her wrist to lash out with her whip to her side.

The whip danced in her hand as if it were an extension of her arm, its purpose clearly to ensnare something.

And indeed, though the whip struck empty air, it seemed to wrap around something. With a crackling sound, Tamara’s figure emerged from nowhere, entangled by the whip and visibly panicked.

Amanda yanked the whip, and Tamara, clearly unable to resist the pull, stumbled and was dragged towards her.

But Tamara had no intention of giving up. She struggled, releasing the power of the ring on her hand.

After a brief recovery period, activated by Tamara, the Petrification Ring emitted a faint Spiritual Essence, and a grayish-white beam shot out.

Petrification Beam!

However, these minor tricks barely elicited a reaction from Amanda. She nonchalantly lifted her wrist, using the jewelry on it to block the Petrification Beam.
