Reincarnated As a Fox With System

Chapter 304 Wind Riding Bird!

”So... Instructor Lan, what is our plan to take that Ancient Martial Art Scroll?” Tang Li Xue asked in puzzlement.

Bing Yi and Hei Yinghao nodded their heads and stared at Instructor Mei Lan too.

Honestly, Tang Li Xue thought to use her [Ethereal Form] to infiltrate both the Lin Familyʼs residence and Lizard Raceʼs temporary camp, then stole the Ancient Martial Art Scroll from them.

Of course, Instructor Mei Lan knew exactly what her student was thinking about right now.

Instructor Mei Lan giggled while glanced at Tang Li Xue and said: ”Do you really think that you can easily slip into their place with your divine ability and steal the Ancient Martial Art Scroll from them? How naive! Why do you think the Lin Family asked help from Oracle Mountain Sect and not from the strongest sect in Lightwind Continent, the Immortal Sword Sect?”

Tang Li Xue, Bing Yi, and Hei Yinghao shook their heads simultaneously.

Instructor Mei Lan chuckled and continued her explanation: ”Because the Oracle Mountain Sect is the sect specialized in Feng Shui and divination. In terms of defending a base, Oracle Mountain Sect is much more superior to the Immortal Sword Sect. The expert from Oracle Mountain Sect can set formation or array to confuse and kill their enemies.”

”Meanwhile, Lizard Race always thought they have the strongest body in Immortal World since they believe they are the true descendant of Dragon Race. Where do you think they would store their most important thing to prevent it from getting stolen?” Instructor Mei Lan smirked at Tang Li Xue.

Tang Li Xue was stunned silly by Instructor Mei Lanʼs statement.

Tang Li Xue gulped her saliva loudly and said with a nervous tone: ”Donʼt… Donʼt tell me they store it inside their bodies? Hahaha… Would they really swallow that half of Ancient Martial Art Scroll?! What if they accidentally digest it? Tha… That is impossible, right?”

Instructor Mei Lan laughed while replied: ”Correct! One of them would definitely swallow it and store it inside their body! How can you steal it? As for accidentally digest it, you do not need to worry about that. Lizard Race may be arrogant and tyrannical, but they are not a bunch of fools.”

”Itʼs almost time. Todayʼs class is over now! Letʼs go!” Instructor Mei Lan announced to all of them suddenly.

”Eh? But… how about our strategy or plan?” Hei Yinghao asked in puzzlement.

Instructor Mei Lan rolled her eyes and told them: ”How can we make the sure plan or effective strategy if we do not even look at the situation there? We will go there and see the situation first before making the next decision.”

”Eh? What? We are going to carry on the mission now?! I thought we will at least depart tomorrow morning!” Tang Li Xue said as she chased after Instructor Mei Lan, who already went out of the classroom with Bing Yi and Hei Yinghao.

The sleeping Little Loki already jumped onto Tang Li Xueʼs right shoulder while Yaya already landed on the top of Tang Li Xueʼs head and sat lazily there.

They all went out from the Education Department building and rode Instructor Mei Lanʼs flying disc, then flying to the east part of Myriad Foxes Academy.

”Instructor Lan, where are we going now? This direction is… not to the Space Gate Hall, so we are not heading out of Myriad Foxes Academy?” Bing Yi asked with a skeptical tone.

”We will go to the stable first to pick your traveling companion first before going out.” Instructor Mei Lan answered with a short reply.

”EEEHHHH?! OUR TRAVELING COMPANION?! WHO?!” Tang Li Xue, Bing Yi, and Hei Yinghao shouted in puzzlement.

Instructor Mei Lan giggled at their simultaneous reaction, but she did not explain it further.

Instructor Mei Lanʼs flying disc was really fast, so it only took them a few minutes to reach the east part of Myriad Foxes Academy.

There were many farms and stables with different creatures on the east part of Myriad Foxes Academy.

Right now, Tang Li Xue and the others finally knew where their foods came from.

Instructor Mei Lan landed her flying disc and brought her three students into one of the stables.

Tang Li Xue and the others thought Instructor Mei Lan brought them here to buy some horses so they could ride them to travel later, but they were wrong.

This stable was not for the horse!

”This is…” Tang Li Xue murmured in amazement when she saw many big birds with long legs and necks lined up neatly in the stable.

”They are called Wind Riding Bird. They can run faster than a horse on the land, fly faster than an eagle in the air, and swim faster than a dolphin in the water.” Instructor Mei Lan said as she patted the feathery neck of Wind Riding Bird.

”The most amazing about them is not their speed but their stamina. They can run, fly, and swim for more than two weeks without rest! Oh… but be sure to not push them that far or they will die. You can let them run, fly, and swim for a week non-stop, but you must give them rest for at least one night.” Instructor Mei Lan patiently explained to Tang Li Xue and the others.

”Woaaaahhhh… Not only they can run on the land, but they can also swim in the water and fly in the sky?! That is really amazing!” Hei Yinghao approached one of the Wind Riding Bird and stared at it with glittering eyes.

Tang Li Xue also stared strangely at the Wind Riding Bird, but the corner of her mouth twitched slightly.

ʼWhat the hell?! This… Isnʼt this bird looks identical with choco** from FF?!ʼ Tang Li Xue thought.

”Listen up! This Wind Riding Bird is really smart, and they can save you in a crucial moment! They are not only your mount but your important future companion, so treat them well! Pick one that suited you the most, then tell me! I will teach you how to tame them properly later.” Instructor Mei Lan instructed them.

The Wind Riding Birds here have many different colors and temperaments, so Instructor Mei Lan told them to choose carefully.

Hei Yinghao decided to choose the black one with a fierce look and temperament.

Even Tang Li Xue doubted that Hei Yinghao could tame it properly later, but she did not say anything to him.

Bing Yi chose the azure-colored Wind Riding Bird with a docile temperament.

Tang Li Xue looked at the Wind Riding Birds in the stable one by one.

She was interested in the pink-colored Wind Riding Bird.

This pink colored Wind Riding Bird looked active and easy to get along with, so Tang Li Xue decided to choose it, but when Tang Li Xue approached it…

”Nyaaaa~!!! Meow… Nyan~ Nya~!” Little Loki shook its furry head, then pointed at the white-colored Wind Riding Bird.

”Eh? Little Loki? You want me to choose that one? Why?” Tang Li Xue asked in puzzlement.

”Nyanya~!” Little Loki pointed its tiny paw at Tang Li Xue.

”Because it suits me the most? Really?” Tang Li Xue asked again with a skeptical tone.

”Nyaaaan~!” Little Loki put a smug expression and patted its furry chest with its tiny paw as if it was saying ʼbelieve in meʼ.

Tang Li Xue pondered carefully for a few moments while observed the white-colored Wind Riding Bird carefully.

Actually, the white-colored Wind Riding Birdʼs temperament was too cold and reserved for Tang Li Xueʼs taste.

However, Tang Li Xue still decided to follow Little Lokiʼs suggestion and choose the white-colored Wind Riding Bird in the end.

Little Loki also sighed in relief, and it wiped its furry forehead after Tang Li Xue had chosen the white-colored Wind Riding Bird.

Pink colored Wind Riding Bird was not bad, but it has an identical personality to Tang Li Xue.

Little Loki could imagine the endless trouble these two would bring if they were together. That was why it urged Tang Li Xue to choose the white one.

The white-colored Wind Riding Bird might be looked cold and reserved, but it was actually a deep thinker type with an analytical and detail-oriented mind.

It would never do anything rash and would certainly prove its own worth in the critical moment.

In short, the white-colored Wind Riding Bird was the opposite type of Tang Li Xue, and its temperament was more identical to Instructor Mei Lan.

After choosing their own Wind Riding Bird, Instructor Mei Lan gave each of them some purple-colored carrots.

”This fruit is called Spirit Dew Cucumber. It is the favorite food of all Wind Riding Birds. They never eat this in this stable before, so you will become its master sooner or later if you give this Spirit Dew Cucumber every day while training them to obey your order.” Instructor Mei Lan told Tang Li Xue and the others.

Tang Li Xue, Bing Yi, and Hei Yinghao gave a Spirit Dew Cucumber to the Wind Riding Bird they have chosen, and their Wind Riding Bird became much friendlier to them.

”All right! You all can put them into your Medium-Rank space pouch, but remember to feed them Spirit Dew Cucumber every day. You just need to give them one Spirit Dew Cucumber every day and do not forget to train them a bit to follow your every order. You can punish them by not giving any Spirit Dew Cucumber in a day if they dare to disobey your words.” Instructor Mei Lan instructed them again.

After finished their business in this Wind Riding Birdʼs stable, Instructor Mei Lan brought all of them to the Space Gate Hall.
