Reincarnated As a Fox With System

Chapter 303 Troublesome B-Grade Mission!

”Like all of you already knew, D-grade mission is for a silver badge holder, C-grade mission is for a gold badge holder, B-grade mission is for platinum badge holder, and A-grade mission is for a jade badge holder. So, what I am about to do now is to carry you three so you three can increase your badge rank faster this way.” Instructor Mei Lan reminded them.

”Usually, when I am carrying out the mission alone, I always take the A-grade mission. But since this is still your first time following me in carrying out my mission and we still need to adapt to each other, I am trying to reduce the mission grade to B. I also intentionally take the B-grade mission with the lowest risk.” Instructor Mei Lan said with a strict tone. She also stared at them one by one with a solemn expression.

”I do not expect you all to do anything to help me in completing this mission. I just want to see if you can follow all of my rules! If anyone of you cannot follow it or violate any of my rules, I will immediately kick you out after this mission!” After announcing her intention, Instructor Mei Lan took out the mission bamboo tube from her space pouch and gave it to Tang Li Xue.

Tang Li Xue tapped the mission bamboo tube onto her forehead, and the information about the mission rushed her mind in an instant.

This B-grade mission was… not really dangerous like what Instructor Mei Lan had already said, but it was very troublesome to complete!

Lin Family was one of the most renowned cultivator families in the Lightwind Continent.

Renowned cultivator families held less power than any empire, while any empire was under powerful sectsʼ control. This was the power order in Lightwind Continent!

Of course, it did not apply outside Lightwind Continent since there were many powerful empires outside Lightwind Continent. It was called the cultivatorʼs empire.

There were also cultivator families with much more powerful than even the cultivatorʼs empires called Sage Families.

But all of those were not important right now. The most important thing was ʼThe Lin Family does not hold that much power in Lightwind Continentʼ.

The reason why cultivator families like Lin Family were so feared in the Lightwind continent was because of their connection with the powerful sects!

For example, some of the older generation from the Lin Family managed to hold some important positions in the five virtuous sects, while some of their younger generations managed to become Core Disciples from those sects.

It made the five virtuous sects hold Lin Family in high regard and even protect them from any harm.

The most problematic part was this...

Some years ago, the Lin Family got an ancient treasure map and decided to search for it.

They sent tens of elders and many of their young generation to find the treasure, but the ruin where the treasure was buried had already become the Dragonʼs lair!

Well… Not really… As you all already know, there was no dragon in Immortal World.

The dragon race was one of the Mythical Beast races, so they only exist in Divine World.

It was more like Lizardʼs Nest, but the ignorant humans in Immortal World always called Lizard Race as Dragon.

A huge battle between the Lin Family and a family of Lizard Race inevitably happened.

It was a really terrifying battle last for ten days and ten nights.

The family of Lizard Race almost wiped out. All their young children had died. The female lizard was crippled. Only the head-family, the male lizard, still remained strong even after defeating so much of Lin Familyʼs elders.

Lin Family lost so much in this terrifying battle too. They lost three-fourth of the people they sent there, but they managed to take almost all of the ancient treasures.

The ancient treasures they managed to find were quite good. But that was not the thing they want the most!

What was the most important thing the human race in Immortal World always sought?

Powerful Martial Art Manual!

The Ancient Martial Art Manual was the most important thing compared to any ancient treasure because no matter how strong the ancient treasure, it could only be used by one person, but the Ancient Martial Art Manual was different!

Any older generation or the younger generation could try to learn it!

With the powerful Ancient Martial Art Manuals, Lin Family could even try to rise and become a sect. Their family might even join five virtuous sects as the sixth virtuous sect sooner or later in the future.

Unfortunately, all of those were only a pipe dream now.

Because the Lin Family could only take half of the Ancient Martial Artʼs scroll in that chaotic battle.

That male Lizard was also not a fool either. He knew perfectly what all of these greedy humans want and mustered his last strength to take half of the Ancient Martial Artʼs scroll before running away.

Of course, the Lin Family would never give up after all the sacrifices they had been made until now.

The Lin Family held the Female Lizard in custody right now, and they demanded to trade the crippled Female Lizard with the half of ancient scroll from the male Lizard!

The Lin Family was afraid that the male Lizard would ask for reinforcement, so they also asked for reinforcement from one of the five virtuous sects, the Oracle Mountain Sect.

The Lin Family promised to give the Oracle Mountain Sect half of ancient treasures and a copy of the Ancient Martial Art Manual, so the Oracle Mountain Sect went all out and sent many of their elders with the highest cultivation to help Lin Family.

Meanwhile, just like what the Lin Family had predicted. The male Lizard had already reported what had happened to the main lair of the Lizard Race and asked for reinforcement to help him take back the female lizard.

Lizard Race was known to have excessive pride even among all of the Beast Races because they believe that they were the true descendant of the Dragon Race.

They were always arrogant and tyrannical, so how could they take this kind of humiliation from the Human Race?!

Lizard Race sent tens of their Beast Lords or the [Rare] grade demonic beasts at once to flatten the Lin Family once and for all!

If you ask, why did they not sent any Spirit Beast? It was all because the Spirit Beasts were grouped as the upper echelon, so they could not be easily deployed.

Do not think that the Spirit Beasts were the strongest in Immortal World and could do whatever they want!

The Human Race actually also have cultivators at the same power level as Spirit Beasts!

If they were all sent out to fight each other, the war would inevitably break between Beast Race and Human Race!

Both Beast Race and Human Race could not allow that to happen yet! Not when the dreadful Undead Race was still trying to conquer the entire Immortal World for themselves while both Beast Race and Human Race could only barely hold them off from advancing further.

However, it did not mean the Human Race and the Beast Race could not maneuver in the dark to topple each other from behind the scene.

For example, just like what Instructor Mei Lan and the others wanted to do right now.

The Intel Department of Foxes Race was the most advance amongst all the Beast Races because Fox Race could easily slip into the human society to look for crucial information.

According to the Intel Department of Foxes Race, after they were tracing the origin and legend, they found that Ancient Martial Art Manual was far more horrible than what the Lin Family and Lizard Race had ever expected!

It was actually the Heaven-Rank Martial Art Manual!

If any human race managed to cultivate in that Heaven-Rank Martial Art Manual until completion, they would have the power to control the Law in the Immortal World!

The power to control the Law in the Immortal World was the true strength of Human God, which stood on par with their Beast God ([Ancient]-Grade Spirit Beast)!

The Ancient Martial Art Manual that can create the Human God… it was the worst nightmare for the Beast Race! It even far too horrible to imagine!

The reason why this mission was only at B-grade and not A-grade or even S-Grade was because Lizard Race already made their move first. All they need to do was to make sure the Ancient Martial Art scroll did not fall into Human Raceʼs hands!

In short, they need to take the Ancient Martial Art scroll from both Lin Familyʼs hand and Lizard Raceʼs hand, then destroy it as soon as possible!

They were also permitted to use any means at their disposal!

They could help Lizard Race to destroy the Lin Family while taking half of the Ancient Martial Art scroll from both of them and destroying it.

They could also choose to sneak into the Lin Family and Lizard Race to steal the half of Ancient Martial Art scroll from both of them, then destroying it.

However, they have to make sure that the Ancient Martial Art scroll should definitely be destroyed in the end!

…..

Tang Li Xue sucked a deep breath after processing the information from the mission bamboo tube in her mind, while she gave the mission bamboo tube to Bing Yi.

Bing Yi took the mission bamboo tube and tapped it onto her forehead too before giving it to Hei Yinghao.

After tapping the mission bamboo tube onto his forehead, Hei Yinghao wanted to give it back to Instructor Mei Lan. But Yaya swiftly took it, and she tapped it onto her forehead too before giving it back to Instructor Mei Lan.

It took all of them a few minutes to process the information from the mission bamboo tube.
