I Am Not A Goblin Slayer

Chapter 348: Chapter 227:

Facing this formidable charge, the white goblin remained extremely calm. It possessed only basic combat intelligence and absolute obedience to Gauss. Beyond that, richer emotions like fear, fanaticism, and sadness were non-existent.

Not to mention, to this group of goblins, it was a presence beyond comparison.

Though its size wasn’t outstanding, that was due to the limitation of clay volume. In terms of strength, it could already defeat most level 1 demons.

Moreover, it didn’t fear injury, felt no pain, nor did it possess the innate survival instinct of living creatures, as if it were a truly cold-blooded and ruthless killer.

It bent down, picked up a fallen weapon, and then took the initiative to greet the goblins. Its clay nature fused with steel, becoming extremely sturdy under the activation of magic power. Its strength far exceeded that of ordinary goblins, and charging into the goblin formation was like a tiger among sheep, causing chaos and casualties with each attack.

One side stood alone and isolated, the other was formidable in numbers, but the result was entirely one-sided after the first wave of contact.

”Ugh, ah, ah!”

Severed arms, heads, sticky blood, and calves littered the ground under the slaughter of that not particularly tall, yet brutally menacing, white figure.

Gauss walked to the entrance of the cave, quietly watching this scene.

Behind him, the lumberjack was dumbfounded.

Unable to help it, he rubbed his eyes, almost thinking he had seen wrong.

Even though Gauss had explained it in advance, witnessing a ”goblin” massacre other goblins was just too shocking and bizarre for an ordinary civilian.

In the mountain gully, the efficient slaughter continued.

The tireless, unfeeling killing machine that was the clay goblin rampaged through the goblin horde. The courage the goblins had painstakingly gathered evaporated instantly in the face of the absolute power gap.

Some goblins tried to flee from behind, but the clay spider guarding the rear mercilessly harvested the lives of these retreaters.

The only one with some will to fight was the goblin shaman at the back of the goblin crowd, but its situation wasn’t much better.

Every time it tried to raise its wooden staff, cast a spell, or reinforce its companions, it was interrupted just as it began to chant. A perfectly timed magic missile would strike the ground around it, precisely breaking its casting, forcing it to dodge awkwardly.

The chaotic magic flows even backfired on its own body, making it scream in anger, yet helpless.

It was Gauss who was casting the spell.

Calmly wielding his magic wand, he was practicing advanced spell casting on the goblin shaman, while also preventing it from empowering other goblins, thus delaying the clay goblin’s kill speed.

As time passed by.

The number of goblins in the gully decreased at an astonishing speed.

The cries and screams gradually became sparse.

Finally, when the clay goblin used its fist, covered in viscous, foul-smelling blood, to punch a pleading goblin’s chest into a hollow, the entire gully fell silent.

All the goblins were dead, including the goblin infants, who died most tragically; the clay goblin spared no time, almost crushing them alive with a single step each.

The last goblin shaman leaned fearfully against the rock wall, rapidly chattering in a language Gauss couldn’t understand, facing the clay goblin that advanced step by step.

It likely mistook the clay goblin for some special kind of goblin, still seeking the possibility of communication.

Alas, the clay goblin never responded to its communication.

In the next moment, it thrust the javelin forcefully.

The javelin tore through the air, finally piercing the goblin shaman’s chest, pinning it to the mountain.

”Killed elite demon goblin shaman *1”

Gauss watched the aftermath of the kill.
