Hogwarts: I Am an Exemplary Wizard

Chapter 1189 -832: The Generous and Mysterious Wizard (Part 3)

It was just that the shop owner was extremely busy and seemed even more unhappy.

The next stop was Scrivenshaft’s, where Kael directly bought out their stock of Thunderbird Quills and Mobic Squid Ink.

In another thirty years, these two Fantastic Beasts would be placed on the prohibited trade list, and by then these items would be impossible to find.

Especially the Mobic Squid; just like Dragon Eggs, it had been classified as an A-class prohibited trade product. Its ink, known for lasting a thousand years without fading, was being sold at prices higher than Dragon Blood, and yet it was not always available.

Here, there was an entire shelf stocked with it.

Kael didn’t hesitate at all; he bought out the entire stock, along with two large boxes of reserves.

After this, Kael went on an unstoppable shopping spree, meticulously covering every shop in the area. If he liked something, he didn’t even consider the price—he just made a gesture and bought it all.

From then on, a legend spread through Hogsmeade: a mysterious wealthy figure was spending money like water in the village.

Some shops had their two-month supplies bought out in just two minutes by him, and still, he wasn’t satisfied.

For a time, this mysterious rich person became the talk of everyone’s meal-time conversation.

Initially, people thought he was using counterfeit Gold Coins, otherwise who would shop in such a way—not buying one or two items, but directly purchasing entire stocks.

Out of fear, someone immediately went to Gringotts, only to learn from the Goblins there that all the coins they had were genuine Galleons, certified works of Goblin craftsmanship.

Although Goblins are known for their greed, they are meticulous about their craftsmanship and never skimp on materials. Whether Galleons from a hundred years ago or a hundred years later, they remain the same.

Or perhaps Kael was using Galleons from a hundred years ago… or even earlier.

This only deepened the curiosity of Hogsmeade’s villagers, spurring discussions about who this young man really was.

Some said he was the heir of a noble Pure-Blood Family, others said he was a self-made exceptional Wizard, and some believed he was a speculator in illegal trades.

But regardless of the theory, the conversation always returned to his extravagant spending style, with some shops increasing their inventory several fold overnight, hoping for the grand customer to return.

However, Kael was unaware of the many unusual names he had acquired. By this time, he had already left Hogsmeade Village and was heading to Diagon Alley.

Yes, Diagon Alley, not Godric’s Hollow.

After circling Hogsmeade, Kael found himself quite fond of this era, but Hogsmeade Village was too small; half a day was enough to cover it all, leaving him unsatisfied.

In contrast, Diagon Alley was the real treasure trove—a place with an endless supply of wonders, even Dragon Eggs openly displayed for sale.

Unfortunately, there was only an eggshell.

Kael took out ten Galleons and bought it.

“Are there any complete ones?” he asked the shopkeeper, “I’m willing to pay ten times the price.”

Ten times?

That would be a hundred Galleons!

The shopkeeper was tempted; he didn’t doubt Kael’s words because this was not the first day he had visited. In the past few days, his expenses at various shops amounted to over two hundred Galleons.

And he had bought many things that the shopkeeper thought were completely useless, like the horns of a Re’em, which were really only good as expensive decorations.

To the shopkeeper, Kael was like a rich fool, bound to have a hundred Galleons to spend.

Of course, Kael wasn’t going to tell him that in another sixty-seven years, a company named “Nimbus” would become all the rage across the Magic Realm, nor would he reveal that their broomsticks would experience a significant innovation at that time.

Because someone discovered that the Nimbus Company’s first broomstick included Re’em horn powder, a material that dramatically enhanced the broom’s stability in flight.

By then, the price increase of this material would be described as terrifying, soaring tenfold within one year.

Though it would gradually decrease afterward, it would still be much higher than the initial prices… these were commercial secrets and gleaming golden Galleons.

“I can try my best to find you a complete Dragon Egg,” the shopkeeper said in a lowered voice, “but only try. You know, Fire Dragons are classified as prohibited trade Fantastic Beasts, and the Ministry of Magic is cracking down hard. Empty Dragon Eggshells are fine, but obtaining a complete Dragon Egg is too risky.”

“Risk?”

Kael raised an eyebrow, taking out a bag and shaking it, “If I offer two hundred Galleons, would the risk be lessened?”
