Hogwarts: I Am an Exemplary Wizard

Chapter 1167: Chapter 825: New Target, Grindelwald_2

Alright, now Kael could understand why the Fire Dragons were so irritable.

”Have you found out who did it?” he asked.

”It would be great if we could find out.” Chris shook his head. ”However, a charm capable of blowing up a cliff—there aren’t many wizards of that level. We suspect it’s You-Know-Who. Only he or a few Death Eaters together could cause such massive destruction.”

”You-Know-Who?” Kael was even more puzzled. ”Hasn’t he been quiet all this time? Why did he suddenly go to the Hesidiri Islands to cause trouble? What’s the benefit of provoking Fire Dragons for him?”

”That’s what we want to know too.” Chris poured himself a glass of whiskey. ”Maybe he wants to create chaos for us. If Newt hadn’t promptly used a Hungarian Horntail to soothe the strongest Black Dragon, the nearby towns might have been in chaos by now.

”Even if the entire Ministry of Magic intervened, there’s no way to quickly modify all Muggles’ memories.”

Hungarian Horntail...

Soothing?

Kael couldn’t link them together. As the most aggressive species among Fire Dragons, Hungarian Horntails were never calm, especially facing other Fire Dragons. Simply not tail-whipping an opponent on sight would consider a gentle temperament.

If Kael guessed correctly, it should be physical soothing, beating the strongest Black Dragon into submission, and others would naturally quiet down.

”Always causing trouble.” Kael couldn’t help but say, ”Are you sure it’s the Death Eaters?”

”It’s just speculation,” Chris said. ”But we found a lot of Dark Magic in the area, along with traces left after Fiendfire burns. It should definitely be them.”

Kael muttered a few words under his breath. He had to admit, if Voldemort’s scheme succeeded, it would indeed be troublesome for the Ministry of Magic.

No wonder they’ve been so quiet recently. Didn’t expect them to be waiting here... But truth be told, without this incident, he wouldn’t have been able to guess Voldemort’s true intention.

Provoking the Fire Dragons—it really is a bad idea they came up with.

After finishing his whiskey, Chris ate an entire plate of sandwiches and two grilled sausages before wearily dragging himself back to his room.

After some time, as October rolled in and the weather began to cool, Kael finally received the owl from Nicolas.

But to his disappointment, what the owl brought was not the repaired Time Turner but a mirror.

Two-Sided Mirror.

As soon as Kael picked it up, Nicolas’s face appeared in it.

”How have you been lately?” he asked with a smile.

”Not bad, just getting a bit impatient.” Kael placed the mirror on the table. ”When I saw the owl, I thought the Time Turner was already fixed.”

”Have a little patience.” Nicolas said, ”It’s not so easy to fix that thing. By the way, have you been keeping up with the thing I gave you?”

”Of course, I haven’t missed a day.” Kael took out the bottle of ’Raspberry Juice.’ ”I’ve always wanted to ask what this is for.”

”To protect you from time interference,” Nicolas explained, ”Albus told me last time you used the Time Turner, your mind was confused for a while, right?”

”Indeed.” Kael nodded.

It should have been in his third year, when the Slytherin Secret Chamber was opened. He unknowingly went back a few months earlier passively.

Since then, the previous self, who didn’t know about the Time Turner, had done many inexplicable things.

For instance, he insisted on hiding the Basilisk. If it were a normal situation, he would have already told Dumbledore, but he just didn’t want to at the time.

Later, Rowena Ravenclaw explained that she did some layout that affected the time-confused Kael.

It’s a bit complicated to explain. In short, Ravenclaw set up an unknown magic at Hogwarts, but it only affects those disturbed by time.

And to be disturbed, the time span must exceed two months. Ordinary Time Turners, which can only go back a day or two, don’t have to worry about this issue at all.

In other words, it’s a charm targeting Kael.

”But that was many years ago. Is it still relevant now?” Kael asked.

”When there are two of you in the same timeline, your mind becomes unstable. That’s why many wizards resist using the Time Turner,” Nicolas explained. ”This potion solves that problem. As long as you drink it continuously for a month, you won’t be affected anymore.

”You need to rescue Albus, so you must ensure you’re completely clear-headed. Even if I fix the Time Turner, you still need to wait a month before you can have it.”

”I see.” Kael nodded, ”Thank you.”

”No need to thank me, it’s just necessary preparation,” Nicolas said.

”So, is this why you contacted me this time?”

”Didn’t you ask me about it?”

”Ah? Sorry, I forgot.”

”It’s alright, I understand,” Nicolas said with a smile. ”I contacted you this time because there was something I forgot to mention before.”

”What is it?”

”You need to go somewhere,” Nicolas said. ”When you go back to the past, the first thing you need to do is find Albus, right?”

”Yes, is there a problem?”

”Do you know where he is?” Nicolas asked.
