Hogwarts: I Am an Exemplary Wizard

Chapter 1184 -831: Hogwarts a Hundred Years Ago

The golden pocket watch glimmered on the table, and through the pointers and gaps, one could vaguely see the brighter red Philosopher’s Stone inside.

Kael looked at Nicolas, “Is it fixed?”

“The process was smooth.” Nicolas said with a smile, “Even smoother than I imagined, without a single mistake.”

Not only Kael, but all the surrounding headmasters couldn’t help themselves, crowding around and stretching their necks to look at the table.

“Is this the Time Turner?” Phineas smacked his lips.

“Obviously,” Armando Dippet glanced at him, “What else would it be, a fork?”

“I mean, can such a small thing really take someone back a hundred years?” For once, Phineas didn’t disagree with Armando, his gaze fixated on the golden pocket watch.

“What, you want to use it?” Armando teased, “Unfortunately, portraits can’t use the Time Turner.”

“Who wants to use it, I’m just asking… Is that not allowed?” Phineas protested.

“It is indeed possible,” came a witch’s voice from behind the two, “even further back in time is no problem.”

“Remarkable, truly worthy of being a creation of Salazar Slytherin.”

“No, only the framework is his, but most parts have been modified; strictly speaking, this is now considered another piece of work.

And using the Philosopher’s Stone as the core… Although it’s a bit extravagant, it’s a great idea to minimize risks, it’s really commendable.”

“It’s truly pleasing to receive your praise,” Nicolas said with a smile, “but I must admit, if it weren’t for the crucial framework, I wouldn’t be able to replicate this Time Turner.”

“That sounds just about right,” Phineas said, “Salazar Slytherin’s wisdom is unparalleled.”

He raised his head, putting on an air of pride.

Too bad nobody paid him any attention.

“It’s just a bit too extravagant,” the witch’s voice continued, “the core merely provides Magic Power, and there are many alternatives.”

“But for now, finding the substitute you speak of is more troublesome than creating a Philosopher’s Stone,” Nicolas shook his head, “at least we managed to gather the necessary materials for the Philosopher’s Stone.”

“You’re not wrong… Salazar at the time also considered using the Philosopher’s Stone as a source of Magic Power, but the Magic Realm couldn’t find a trace of the Phoenix back then, so other methods had to be used.”

“Ha, you speak as if you were there,” Phineas couldn’t help but turn his head, “could you not exaggerate…”

Phineas’s words came to an abrupt halt, his eyes widened suddenly, his whole person resembling a rooster with its neck pinched, mouth open, yet unable to make a sound.

After quite a while, he barely squeezed out a sound from his throat.

“Raven… Ravenclaw?”

“It’s me.” Rowena Ravenclaw nodded lightly.

Her gaze moved from the Time Turner to Phineas, “Are you also a Hogwarts Headmaster?”

“Ye-yes, about a hundred years ago,” Phineas said nervously,

“Oh.” Rowena Ravenclaw nodded, saying nothing else.

Armando disdainfully dragged him to the back, “Lady Ravenclaw, I didn’t expect you to actually be in the school…”

“You can also pretend I’m not here.” Rowena Ravenclaw showed no expression, “And I won’t be involved in any decisions at the school.”

“You must be joking.” Another female headmaster said excitedly, “We are all keen to receive your guidance, and I believe the current headmaster feels the same.”

“No, I won’t do that.” Rowena Ravenclaw shook her head, “I am merely a memory that shouldn’t be here, unwilling and unable to interfere with any decisions in this time.”

“Then why did you appear this time?”

“To resolve issues left previously.” Ravenclaw did not explain, simply looking at the Time Turner again.

Others listened without understanding, but Kael somewhat grasped it.

This Time Turner was left by Salazar Slytherin, strictly speaking it also belongs to the ‘things that shouldn’t appear.’

The reason Ravenclaw appeared must be this… If Kael’s guess is correct, once he brings Dumbledore back this time, this thing will no longer appear.

“Do you have any other questions?”

Kael noticed Ravenclaw suddenly looking at him.

“Do I need to do any preparatory work?” He quickly asked, “I remember you told me before to stay as far away from the Time Turner as possible.”

“I still stand by that advice.” Ravenclaw said, “But… if you insist on going, remember to keep your mind clear, though in this regard you seem well-prepared, is it Polyjuice Potion… or some other name.”

Kael looked at Nicolas.

“Yes.” Nicolas nodded, explaining, “It’s the magic potion you drank earlier, allowing your mind to not be influenced by time, even if there are two ‘selves,’ you can maintain independent thinking.”

“Then there’s no problem.”

“Hold on a moment.” Kael said softly, “If it’s a hundred years ago, there seems to be no second me… even my father wasn’t born then.”

“This impact is not merely a duplicate ‘self,’” Ravenclaw patiently explained, “In some sense, returning to a past you didn’t experience is more dangerous than normal time travel; without potion protection, you’ll gradually forget everything, lost in the past time.”
