Hogwarts: I Am an Exemplary Wizard

Chapter 1063: Chapter 790: You’re Surrounded (Part 2)

A snakehead as big as a train darted out of the box, its dark green scales and knife-sharp fangs glinting with a strange coldness... Oh, and those mesmerizing, orange eyes.

Thud... Thud...

The expressions on several Death Eaters’ faces froze instantly, their bodies rigidly fell to the ground.

But whether it was because there were too many people that they shared the curse, or they hadn’t directly seen the Basilisk’s eyes, the number that fell was much less than Kael had imagined. Most of the Death Eaters were holding their heads and howling, seemingly experiencing some extreme pain.

But it didn’t matter.

Kael flipped his fingers, casually grabbing a new wand... This was his wand, as for the one he threw earlier, he had picked it up a long time ago.

”Go on, leave none alive.” Kael said lightly,

The Basilisk immediately darted out, its fifty-foot-long massive body bulldozing its way into the crowd, those Death Eaters still clutching their heads and howling couldn’t afford to worry about the stabbing pain, they started scattering and fleeing.

During this time, people who rashly chose their escape route accidentally saw the Basilisk’s eyes, but this time, there was no one to help share the curse. They promptly fell to the ground.

”It’s the Basilisk, don’t look at its eyes!” Finally, someone recognized the creature’s identity, loudly warning the others.

Kael was somewhat surprised, not expecting there to be a kind-hearted person in the Death Eater’s ranks who cared about others’ lives.

As a reward, he proactively slowed the person’s escape speed with a Full Body-Bind Curse and released Norbert from the box.

The Fire Dragon soared up with a roar, several Dragon Flames descending from the sky, exploding into fireworks on the ground.

Afterwards, Kael flashed to Norbert’s head.

He no longer cared about others but instead directed the Basilisk from above to head straight for Bellatrix in the crowd.

Compared to those little minions, she was the real big catch.

Bellatrix was also fleeing, although she had instinctively avoided disaster, she was equally affected by the curse, her escape speed noticeably slower, soon the Basilisk caught up with her.

”Avada Kedavra!”

She screamed, trying to kill Kael atop the dragon’s head, but fearing to open her eyes made the Charm wildly inaccurate, veering towards Durmstrang, Kael didn’t even need to dodge.

”Damn it, damn it...” Bellatrix shrieked madly, ”Master won’t forgive you, won’t forgive you!”

”Those words make it seem like we could peacefully coexist right now.” Kael chuckled softly.

Under Kael’s direction, the Basilisk swiftly came beside Bellatrix.

Sensing the threat of death, Bellatrix completely panicked, frantically casting the Iron Armor Spell, trying to block the Basilisk’s approach.

However, it was useless,

The Basilisk opened its jaws wide, lunging forward, sharp fangs piercing into flesh, and Bellatrix immediately quieted down.

Just as Kael was about to say something, he suddenly felt anxiety, instinctively using the box to cover Norbert’s head.

In an instant, the huge Fire Dragon vanished, and Kael fell from the sky.

At the same time, a beam of light, brighter than other Killing Curses, sped past, precisely on the path where he had been moments ago.

So fast Kael didn’t even see clearly how it flew past.

Seeing this distinctive Killing Curse, Kael didn’t hesitate, immediately using the ring to Apparate onto the Basilisk’s back, taking it into the box.

However, this move caused him to miss the best chance to escape.

Voldemort walked out from a black mist, holding a distinctively jointed wand, directly pointing at Kael.

He looked very angry, but not because of Bellatrix, it was... the box in Kael’s hand.

”You thief!” Voldemort had never been so furious, his chest heaving, he roared hoarsely.

”How dare you, steal from the great Dark Lord!”

He recognized that what Kael had taken was the Basilisk from the Hogwarts Chamber of Secret, which Voldemort had used to kill a student during his school days.

In Voldemort’s heart, he had long considered the Basilisk his property, constantly thinking of returning to Hogwarts to release it from the Chamber.

But he never expected the Basilisk not only to be out but also to have become someone else’s property.

This was intolerable for him.

”Shameless thief, give me that box!” Voldemort suddenly waved his hand, ”Or die!”

”I can’t do that.” Though his heart was extremely tense, Kael still feigned calmness and said, ”This is mine, a gift from Salazar Slytherin to this heir.”

”You lie!” Voldemort’s scarlet eyes deepened, ”I am Slytherin’s heir, and you are just a pathetic thief.”

”Then why does the Basilisk follow my orders?” Kael retorted, ”That explains a lot, you’re the fake, I’m the real one.

”Don’t forget, Riddle is a Muggle name...”

”Crucio!”

A blast of red light hit Kael, how to describe that feeling? It felt like a thousand needles simultaneously pricking his body, even his consciousness blurred.

But Kael was waiting for this; as Voldemort chose the tormenting Crucio instead of the Killing Curse, he successfully seized the chance, enduring the pain to use the last Apparition opportunity on the ring.

Thus, right under Voldemort’s eyes, Kael vanished.

This took Voldemort by surprise; upon realizing he had been fooled, the angry Voldemort roared, venting his fury on the surviving Death Eaters.

The Death Eaters never dreamed they escaped the Basilisk and fled the Fire Dragon, only to die at the hands of the Dark Lord they served.

Until the last Death Eater was killed by the Killing Curse, Voldemort finally lowered the Elder Wand, silently staring at the spot where Kael disappeared, thinking about something.

More Death Eaters arrived, Draco Malfoy among them, but when he saw the scene around him, his face instantly turned pale, his legs quivering, nearly kneeling.

Fortunately, Lucius appeared in time, supporting him from behind.

But his face didn’t look too good either.

Such casualties had never occurred among the Death Eaters before, even that mad woman...

He turned to look at Bellatrix’s motionless body lying on the ground, his throat moved slightly.

”Master!”

Oren approached Voldemort, ”What should we do now.”

Voldemort glanced at him, ”Bella acted recklessly, fell into the Order of Phoenix’s trap, and was killed by Dumbledore.”

For some reason, Voldemort did not tell them the truth, merely shifting the blame to the Order of Phoenix and Dumbledore.

Oren’s eyes shifted, though he had only glanced quickly, the surrounding Death Eaters did not seem like Dumbledore’s work at all, but rather like...

He quickly pressed down certain thoughts, agreeing, ”Yes, such a fool.”

”Should we retaliate?” Barty Crouch Jr also approached, ”What about attacking the Ministry of Magic again? That new minister has been opposing us; it would be a good chance to kill her.”

”Well then, why don’t you handle it?” Voldemort said, ”Go deal with the Aurors and Dumbledore, I await your good news.”

Barty Crouch Jr hurriedly knelt, ”I only meant to help you... Master...”

Voldemort didn’t even look at him, transforming into a black mist and vanished.

Oren, however, sneered openly, ”Go to the Ministry of Magic then, I’m counting on you, Barty.”

”Shut your mouth!” Barty Crouch Jr raised his head, glaring venomously at Oren.

”Tsk, being stupid is one thing, but such a temper.” Oren shrugged without caring and also Apparated away.
