Hogwarts: I Am an Exemplary Wizard

Chapter 695: Chapter 666: The Senior Investigator Dismissed from Office (Part 3)

All at once, everyone looked at Kael differently.

It had to be Kael...

”Didn’t think you were that kind of person.” Fred said with disdain, ”We thought we were dark enough.”

”What are you thinking?” Kael replied irritably, ”I mean, when the cost goes down, the selling price also needs to be adjusted accordingly.

”Originally, something worth fifty Galleons would only cost about ten Galleons after reducing the use of Dragon Skin. This way everyone can afford it, though usually attention to detail is required, which can be quite bothersome.

”But when you encounter the Death Eaters... honestly, things that are one-time can be more effective.”

”You’re not wrong there.” Fred touched his chin, ”Okay, we’ll give it a try...”

Seeing the three engrossed in conversation, Cedric did not interrupt them, instead thinking about expanding the D.A.

From a personal standpoint, he didn’t want to expand, because more people meant he’d be busier.

During this period, quite a few new members joined gradually, and the current D.A. had around eighty members.

This already made him feel a bit overwhelmed, and if more people joined, they’d have to extend the meeting time, and it was foreseeable that the number of new members would likely double. ℴ

Almost two hundred people... they certainly couldn’t extend the meeting to three hours.

So when Fred and George were about to leave, Cedric could only give a vague answer.

”Let’s discuss this when we have time.” he said, ”Perhaps the school can give us a more reliable Defence Against the Dark Arts professor, so we won’t have to attend the D.A.”

”Alright.” Fred and George did not mind, eager to return to their product research, and left at a trot.

...

In the afternoon, Fudge came.

Whether intentional or not, he arrived just before the first class started, and almost all the students saw him go to Headmaster Dumbledore’s office.

What was said in the Headmaster’s Office, no one knew, not even Kael.

All afternoon, everyone waited curiously.

”I really hope he takes Umbridge away.”

In the afternoon Herbology Class, Mikel whispered, ”We obviously need a more reliable Defence Against the Dark Arts professor, not someone who just makes us read and copy.”

His words were unanimously agreed upon by others.

By dinner time, the entire Auditorium buzzed with speculation on whether Umbridge would be leaving.

Finally, Dumbledore arrived, cleared his throat, and the Auditorium fell silent.

”You all probably know, Voldemort and his followers are causing trouble again, and their strength is growing.”

As Dumbledore spoke, the Auditorium was filled with a tense and uneasy silence.

”I must emphasize that the situation is tense, and everyone needs to be extremely cautious to ensure their own safety.

”The Ministry of Magic has agreed to assist in strengthening magical defenses at Hogwarts, but each and every student and staff must remain vigilant at all times.

”Therefore, I ask you to strictly follow every school rule, no matter how bothersome they may be...

”Finally, regarding our Defence Against the Dark Arts professor.”

At this, Cedric suddenly lifted his head.

”Firstly, Professor Umbridge will continue teaching you...”

The Auditorium erupted in sighs and complaints, making Umbridge sitting nearby look very displeased.

”However...” Dumbledore raised his voice, ”The Ministry of Magic believes that in this time of crisis, it’s more important for everyone to learn how to protect themselves, and just one Defence Against the Dark Arts professor is not enough.

”So next, two experienced Aurors will assist Professor Umbridge.”

In the next second, the sighs turned into cheers.

But that wasn’t all.

”Additionally...” Dumbledore raised his voice again, ignoring Umbridge sitting beside him, joyfully adding.

”We’ve also discussed that Hogwarts and the Ministry of Magic should be united and trusting of each other, the Minister gladly agreed to revoke the position of Senior Investigator.”

”So here, I’m happy to announce that all previous educational decrees, including the requirement to register to form clubs and the probationary observation of some professors, will be abolished.”

The cheers in the Auditorium grew louder, along with applause and the sound of table banging.

For the first time since this morning, everyone was this happy.
