Hogwarts: I Am an Exemplary Wizard

Chapter 686: Chapter 663: I’m Just Doing the Right Thing (3)

Fudge’s expression was uncertain.

And at this moment, Umbridge was still tirelessly talking about her plan, her chattering voice making him extremely irritable.

”You, leave.” Fudge suddenly said.

”What?” Umbridge was taken aback for a moment, then quickly said, ”Trust me, Minister, as long as Rubeus Hagrid identifies Dumbledore, we can have the Aurors bring him to the Ministry of Magic, and then...”

”Get out!” Without warning, Fudge directly grabbed the wine glass in front of him and threw it at Umbridge’s head.

”Dumbledore is about to replace me... Bringing him to the Ministry of Magic, you want me to step down earlier, is that it?”

”No, Minister, I did not...” Umbridge was scared silly, stammering, ”I just want to help alleviate your worries...”

But Fudge wasn’t listening to her explanation, pointing once more to the direction of the door. ”Get out now, if you want to work at Pest Advisory, by all means, stay here!”

This time Umbridge dared not stay any longer, almost scrambling out of the tearoom.

Kael also stood up, ”Well Minister, I also...”

”No, Kael, it’s not about you.” Fudge tried to squeeze out a smile, ”I just don’t want that idiot disrupting our conversation, where were we just now.”

”About Dumbledore and communications with others.” Kael said.

”Ah, that’s it.” Fudge rubbed his forehead, ”You and that Rubeus, um... What’s his name.”

”Hagrid.” Kael said.

”That’s right, how’s your relationship with him.”

”Pretty good.” Kael said, ”He always thinks I’m someone who supports Dumbledore, so he’s very friendly to me.

”Are you asking me to help gather intel on other letters’ contents?”

”You are indeed smarter than that idiot.” Fudge looked at Kael, ”I need to know what actions they have on the twentieth, whether they are related to the Ministry of Magic... It’s very important.”

”No problem, Minister, leave it to me.” Kael assured by patting his chest: ”Moreover, my relationship with Ms.Maxime and Mr. McPhail is also quite good, maybe I can also try, see if I can persuade them to support the Ministry.”

”That’s the best news I’ve heard today.” Fudge’s tightly-knit brow seemed to relax a bit, ”Appreciate your effort, if there’s anything you need just let me know, the Ministry of Magic will fully support you.”

”I’m just doing the right thing, how can this be considered as effort.” Kael said earnestly.

”You’re right, we are doing the right thing.”

Even Fudge, who had been anxious lately, couldn’t help but laugh at this moment.

”I really wish you could graduate earlier and come to work at the Ministry of Magic, I’ve even prepared your office, it’s right next door.”

He pointed to the wall behind Kael.

”Senior Ministerial Assistant, honestly, no one has ever held such an important position when they first joined the Ministry of Magic, but I believe you deserve this honor.”

”It’s my honor, Minister.” Kael said with a smile.

The tearoom suddenly filled with a joyful atmosphere.

...

By the time Kael returned to Hogwarts, it was already evening.

Just as he stepped out from the fireplace, barely stable, Umbridge came storming over, her reprimanding voice reaching him before she arrived.

”You have quite the audacity!”

Kael raised an eyebrow, ”I don’t understand what you mean, Professor.”

”How dare you write directly to the Minister.” Umbridge’s face was dark, ”Do you know how much of the Minister’s time you’re wasting?”

”Sorry.” Kael said casually: ”Maybe it was a careless mistake, writing the name wrong. Anyway, you’ll show the Minister the letter later, so it should be fine.”

Wrong name?

Umbridge laughed angrily, not believing such a clumsy excuse.

But it wasn’t the time to dwell on these matters now, Umbridge only wanted to know the reason Fudge was angry with her earlier.

”Tell me the contents of the letter, and I might forgive you.”

”Sorry Professor, it’s classified information, no can do...” Kael said calmly, ”Please step aside, you’re in my way.”

”What kind of tone is this!” Umbridge shrieked, ”I don’t believe you wrote the name wrong, you did it on purpose, as punishment, I am detaining you for a month.”

”If you insist, I’m certainly okay with it.”

Kael said nonchalantly, ”But Professor Umbridge, Minister Fudge has given me a new assignment, if it’s delayed because of your detention, you might actually end up at Pest Advisory, do you enjoy working there?”

Umbridge, furious, was left standing there panting heavily.

Is this a threat? Definitely!

Before today, she never thought Kael would dare speak to her in such a tone, making Umbridge find it hard to accept for a moment.

But Kael didn’t care, naturally bypassing Umbridge and heading towards the door.

”Oh, by the way...” Just as Kael was about to exit, he remembered something, turned back and said: ”According to Minister Fudge’s request, you need to follow my command for the upcoming actions.”

”That’s impossible!” Umbridge shouted: ”I am the Deputy Minister of Magic, Senior Investigator of Hogwarts, you’re just a student who hasn’t graduated yet.”

”I know, but it’s indeed the arrangement from the Minister, if you don’t believe it, you can always verify.” Kael said with a smile, ”Good luck, Professor.”

Kael then left the office, helping Umbridge close the door on his way out.

In the next moment, a commotion was heard inside, like someone smashing a vase.
