Global Game: I Have Portable Store

Su Changxing transformed into a streak of electric light, sprinting forward with all his might.

He had already figured that these monks would likely block him at the city gate, so he had to get through before that happened.

However, he was still late. As he approached the vicinity of the city gate, he saw from afar a large group of monks already blocking the area, checking each person entering the city one by one.

They had learned a rough description of Su Changxing from the pilgrims, and upon close inspection, they would still be able to identify him.

Su Changxing immediately noticed the old monk in a red magic robe standing among the crowd; he was at least a Tier Five being.

The oppressive aura made him extremely wary.

”Isn’t it just killing a small monk? Why did it attract so many people?”

Su Changxing realized that these monks were making a huge commotion and looked determined not to give up until they caught him.

”It seems that this isn’t just about revenge, but also about coveting my ability to kill other players.”

With the old monk present, it was impossible for him to get through this gate. Once discovered, escape would be impossible.

He had to try other gates.

Without lingering, Su Changxing veered to the side and found the other gates were also blocked by monks, each with a terrifyingly powerful old monk standing among them.

He only dared to observe from a great distance, feeling that even getting a little closer might risk being discovered.

Thus, a stalemate formed between the two sides.

Su Changxing thought these monks couldn’t possibly stand guard there forever. Having such a large group play along with him wasn’t a loss.

The monks seemed to also think Su Changxing was bound to come there, as if waiting for something.

Meanwhile.

Su Changxing discovered something like a forum here, divided into many sections, but it could only be used inside the main city; outside, even browsing was impossible.

As night gradually fell, the city lit up with countless lights forming a bright night, yet the monks still did not leave.

Only the gigantic statue with the body of a lion and a human head changed its posture at the city gate.

The statue was alive, its eyes continuously shifting, watching the people coming and going around it.

Su Changxing felt something was amiss, slowly moving back in the shadows, preparing to leave the place first.

Players have many methods, finding him wasn’t difficult. If he stayed in one position too long, he was sure to be found.

Just as he was preparing to leave, the monks moved first.

The old monk at the south gate led some people away, hurriedly running back as if something urgent had happened.

Su Changxing also looked back, noticing a flame flickering atop the high tower of Magpie Mountain Temple.

”Is it on fire?”

Su Changxing grinned gleefully, not knowing exactly what happened, but the monks’ misfortune was his gain.

If the old monks left, he would have a chance to rush in.

Inside the main city was a safe zone; no player could initiate an attack. At worst, they were punished; at best, they would be erased.

So long as he rushed into the main city, he was likely safe.

Just as he was thinking about how to act, he sensed movement behind him, and his heart skipped a beat.

”What is the benefactor doing here?”

An old voice echoed behind him.

Su Changxing turned to see the old monk in a red magic robe, holding a Zen Staff, appearing in the woods, his eyes glowing gold, particularly bright in the dim light.

He was discovered after all.

He sighed, knowing how he was exposed—by merely adjusting his position in the woods, this old monk at another gate sensed it.

”Can’t I relieve myself here? Do you want to join?”

Su Changxing said openly; he was wearing a hazmat suit, making it unlikely for the other to confirm his identity, only finding it suspicious.

The old monk indeed didn’t immediately make a move, instead slowly approaching him, scrutinizing him, chanting something quietly, calmly saying, ”Today, a ruffian committed atrocities at my Magpie Mountain, killing many of us, so we’re searching for the culprit.”

Su Changxing nodded, sharing the animosity, ”That is indeed vile; he even killed monks. I hope the master catches him to uphold justice.”

As Su Changxing spoke, the old monk’s steps did not stop, his eyes wide open, appearing extremely terrifying.

Su Changxing heard a crisp sound emanating from the old monk, like gears colliding and sliding against each other.

”Do you believe in Buddha?” he asked, as the old monk seemed about to say something, he spoke first.

True Knowledge finally analyzed a bit of information.

[Mechanical Martial Buddha: Tier Five, achieves mechanical transcendence, gaining extended life and can prolong life by continuously replacing parts.

Everything is Buddha’s teaching, only one heart, emptiness is life, all are Mechanical Martial...]

Mechanical transcendence?

Su Changxing’s face slightly twitched; he had only heard of such existence in legends, yet he saw it firsthand today.

Is this still a monk? Clearly a robot, a robot believing in Buddha, or rather a monk believing in machines.

The old monk’s voice turned sinister and sharp, laughing loudly, ”Have you discerned this monk’s true form? Not bad.”

He formed a Zen Flower Finger in front of him.

In an instant.

Hundreds of silver mechanical arms extended from the old monk’s back, head, arms, and legs, covering the entire surrounding space.

”You can control that terrifying plague, but unfortunately, I’m no longer flesh and bone. Boy, just come with me quietly; otherwise, you’ll suffer. Though you can’t kill the undead here, imprisoning the spirit is still possible.”

Before the words were even finished, the old monk’s demeanor changed drastically, appearing kind and benevolent. He slightly bowed, speaking peacefully,

”Benefactor, you are fated with my Buddha, come back with me.”

Fate my foot.

Su Changxing finally understood, these were all false monks; their Buddha was only their own, with no real compassion.

Far inferior to Monk Weihuo!

He confirmed that this so-called Magpie Mountain Temple was fake, just a façade.

It disgusted him, making the world seem barren, as if something vital was lost.

”In your dreams!”

Su Changxing leapt up suddenly, charging at the old monk, wielding a long scythe, seemingly ready to fight to the death.

The old monk merely smiled, not taking Su Changxing seriously.

To subdue him, a single hand was enough, revealing his true form was merely to instill awe in Su Changxing.

In an instant, Su Changxing’s body was pierced hundreds of times.

This was indeed a heavy world.

Such a move exhibited on Blue Star would have been cataclysmic.

As feathers drifted down, Su Changxing vanished from the spot, this move was just his feint, making the opponent think he was desperate, but actually escaping.
