Global Game: I Have Portable Store

Chapter 384: Chapter 378: Revenge

”Donor Su, I’ll leave first. You should be careful since it’s hard for you to move right now.”

The monk said as he stood up after finishing his meal.

Su Changxing nodded and said:

”Hmm, thanks for your concern. You be careful too and don’t get caught by those people from Chenxi.”

The monk turned and ran downstairs.

Su Changxing muttered to himself, ”Seems like he’s quite easy to kill, right.”

After speaking, he remembered that there was only a skull in his backpack, and the rest was gone, feeling a bit lonely.

He took out his phone and opened the forum.

Words turned dark red appeared at the top.

Survival days: 14 days

Survivors: 3.7 billion

”Decreasing so fast? Is it because of the zombie transformation, or something else?”

Su Changxing frowned, noticing that the death rate in recent days was faster, much faster than before. Before halfway through the time, more than half of them had already died.

The forum he saw now wasn’t the previous forum, but one for this region.

More importantly, he couldn’t operate on this forum, showing no permissions, only browsing, making him feel like an NPC.

[Announcement]

[Due to changes in the game process, the arrival of the Blood Moon is delayed by five days, and the zombies’ growth rate slows down]

”Is this a chain reaction caused by destroying the Energy Station?”

Su Changxing guessed it should be like this. The Doomsday Game wouldn’t actively lower the difficulty, and currently, its control over this world didn’t seem that strong, more like building a house by relying on the mountain.

On this forum, Security Bureau publicly announced their plan to destroy the Energy Station four days ago, calling for capable individuals to join.

Many people were asking under the post about who this person named ”Please call me a good person” really was. More amusingly, some even impersonated him.

”Seafarer”: I am one of them. ”Please call me a good person” was our companion. I deeply mourn his death, but it was all worth it.

”Three Extremes”: So here’s the question, who are you? It’s not that I don’t believe you, but words alone are not enough, right?

”Seafarer”: I participated in the plan.

”Three Extremes”: But I heard the plan wasn’t fully launched. Despite so many deaths, it still couldn’t go through, so it’s probably unlikely that we did it. Where exactly are you from?

······

Here, compared to the big city, the number of Hunters was relatively few, not forming a climate, with less presence compared to Screamers.

”Completely different survival difficulty.”

Su Changxing realized that the big city was more like hell level. Just dealing with Hunters, they already had to exert all their strength, suffering heavy casualties.

”The real world doesn’t have balanced game mechanisms. Some areas are extremely difficult to survive in, while others are much easier.”

”But at the same time, there’s also a balancing mechanism. Different placements for different people, with corresponding difficulty differences, just like Mu Qing.”

Su Changxing speculated whether there were places with even higher difficulty than in the big city, as the number of people in the entire region was already very few.

This was quite possible.

This kind of world would birth some terrifying monsters. If such monsters were highly aggressive, it would result in this situation.

Through the railing, looking at the zombies on the street, Su Changxing couldn’t help but shudder. Even after destroying the Energy Station, he still didn’t feel life and death were in his hands.

At night, the dew was very heavy, forming drops as it mingled with the dust on his skin.

Su Changxing remained motionless like a corpse, slowly opening his eyes, sensing movement below. More than ten people were fighting on the street, with a Mysterious Shop right next to them.

There were no Extraordinaries among them, but several Superpower Users, and judging by their skills, each was enhanced.

Both sides were evenly matched. One side had fewer people, but their leader was relatively stronger, able to hold off two or three people alone.

They didn’t fight to the death. After a couple of deaths, the weaker side would retreat on their own.

It seemed to be an unwritten rule.

By the next dawn, Su Changxing saw four waves of people. This current batch seemed to be searching for resources everywhere.

He also felt some body parts regained sensation, allowing slight movement, but it would take until the upgrade was complete to fully recover.

”Still nothing, truly desperate.”

Su Changxing found matters unexpected as no one posted complaints about Chenxi. Could it be that things were completely different from what he imagined?

Heavy footsteps came from the stairs.

Monk Weihuo ran back, covered in wounds and blood, kneeling in front of Su Changxing with empty eyes, panting:

”You were right, they’re all crazy, all crazy. I didn’t know what to do, so I could only come back to find you.”

Su Changxing opened his eyes and said indifferently, ”What happened?”

The monk’s eyes showed despair, and he said in a deep voice:

”Everyone from our Magpie Mountain Temple placed outside was killed. Just before I went there, it was Chenxi’s people. There were too many of them.”

This monk underwent a huge change in less than a day. Initially, his gaze was clear and peaceful, but now it was cloudy and full of killing intent.

A monk is not a Buddha, after all, he is still human.

Su Changxing took a deep breath and said:

”Hmm, it should be that your temple had a conflict with Chenxi, or with someone high-ranking among them, so what are you planning to do?”

The monk sat cross-legged on the ground, gradually calming down, and said softly:

”I want to avenge our Magpie Mountain Temple’s people, find the perpetrator, and kill him.”

Su Changxing chuckled and said, ”That’s not something a monk should say.”

The monk’s chest heaved with anger as he shouted, ”Then I’m no monk!”

At this moment, his emotional turmoil was certainly more intense than it appeared on the surface.

Su Changxing thought for a moment and said, ”I can’t help you, I’m just a cripple, can’t move at all.”

The monk stayed silent for a while and said, ”You’re smart. I need your ideas. I want to know what I should do.”

Heh, this monk sure wasn’t shy.

Su Changxing’s lips curled into a slight smile and said, ”Is there an Apocalypse member from Chenxi here? If so, you’re not wrong to take him down.”

The monk held his breath, half-laughing and half-crying, ”Yes, but I’m definitely not his match.”

Chenxi’s Apocalypse members were famous even before doomsday, almost their world’s top Superpower Users, possessing extraordinary powers.

If an average person’s superpower was a C or B, theirs were S or SS.

”Then you need to find out why they’re targeting your temple’s people, ask someone, like that Liu Fu earlier. He should know something.” Su Changxing continued.

The monk thought over Su Changxing’s words and nodded, ”Hmm, I understand. Don’t worry, I won’t kill indiscriminately.”

I wasn’t worried at all... Su Changxing thought the monk was overthinking, then took out two meal boxes from his backpack and said, ”Let’s eat first, then talk about other things.”

The monk opened the self-heating meal readily, adding water inside. Naturally, he was hungry too. A whole night’s rush and battle left him hungry and tired.

After finishing the meal, the monk squatted and fell asleep, snoring loudly like thunder, making Su Changxing’s head buzz.
