Wizard: Scamming a Demon God

Chapter 382: Chapter 283: A Tryst in the Gloomy Underground Palace

Actually, the best targets for this experiment were still the Dimension Apostles. After all, both are incompatible with the Real World and can only use a portion of their power after becoming stronger. Deities are even a bit better off; at least Tier Four and even Tier Five Deities are compatible with the world.

Combining the two might even neutralize some of that incompatibility.

Furthermore, Isaac had stronger control over the Dimension Apostles, which would have made the process safer and more manageable.

Unfortunately...

In the Endless Tower, although Isaac could still use the power of the Dimension, he could no longer use it as a conduit or summon Dimension Apostles from it.

He was helpless, but what could he do? It was a Great Creation, after all.

Therefore, Isaac could only turn his attention to these ”native inhabitants.” His first choice was naturally the weakest Tier One Demon. He wanted to see what would happen when a high-level Tier Four Virtual Divinity fused with an incredibly weak Tier One life form. Regardless of success or failure, the process itself would be invaluable to Isaac.

In a dark cave, a Green-skinned Goblin was held in mid-air by a giant, invisible hand of Magic Power. Its face was filled with terror as it watched Isaac approach, a wicked smile on his face and a sinister eyeball in his hand, letting out a villainous cackle.

”Don’t be afraid. It won’t hurt.” As he spoke, Isaac chuckled and pressed the eyeball-like Virtual Divinity in his hand into the Green-skinned Goblin’s forehead!

”AAAAH!! Huh?” After a bloodcurdling scream, the Green-skinned Goblin was surprised to find that it really didn’t hurt. Not only did it not hurt, but an endless stream of power was even surging forth...

’I feel... this power is even stronger than my father’s! I have everything now!’

CRACKLE~

Isaac took two steps back, a faint light flickering in his eyes as he observed the goblin, whose body was inflating like a balloon. Of course, he wasn’t observing the changes to its body. While the transformation was indeed astonishing, Isaac knew very well that this was merely an illusion.

To this goblin, a Muscle Bully physique was the symbol of power. So, having fused with the Tier Four Virtual Divinity and suddenly obtained the Divine Power of a Tier Four Deity, its body was now rapidly changing, transforming toward what it perceived as ”powerful.”

However, Isaac’s attention wasn’t on its increasingly massive and powerful body, because even for Demons, the physical body is no longer the core of their strength from Tier Three onward. Authority is.

Not to mention that the goblin was now a Tier Four Deity, albeit only a Virtual Deity.

Through his Analysis Authority and his absolute dominion over the Virtual Divinity, the changes occurring within the goblin held no secrets from Isaac. The eyeball-like Virtual Divinity, now fused inside the goblin, was extending countless tendrils that coiled tightly around the creature’s soul.

At the same time, one illusory ritual after another flickered into existence wherever the Virtual Divinity’s tendrils of power reached. These were the rituals of Ascension to Divinity, the path all mortals must walk to become gods. Isaac hadn’t expected that a Deity created by a Virtual Divinity would also have to go through this step.

’Then again, that makes sense. Essentially, there isn’t much difference between a Virtual Deity and a real one. Their only difference—or rather, their shortcoming—is that the source of their power is controlled by me, and it’s a control they are completely unable to resist!’

But other than that, they are identical to other Deities.

Soon, the goblin’s Muscle Bully form receded. This indicated that it had gained initial mastery over the power of the Evil Eye, and it could now be called the Master of Evil Eyes.

Gazing at the Master of Evil Eyes before him, Isaac gently stroked his chin. He now roughly understood the principle that allowed him to withdraw the Virtual Deity’s power at any time. In his vision, he could clearly see the power from the Evil Eye Virtual Divinity fully unfurled, tightly encasing the goblin’s soul like a massive net.

This net transferred the Virtual Divinity’s power to the goblin almost perfectly for it to command, while also completely binding its soul. First, whenever Isaac wished, he could completely extract the Virtual Divinity’s power. During this process, the very net that granted the goblin its incredible Divine Power would, in turn, subdue it, rendering it unable to resist.

Second, this power was not without a price. Once the Virtual Divinity’s power was depleted, the goblin’s soul would also fade into nothingness along with it, leaving not a single trace behind!

It would even die if he simply extracted the power.

Finally, there was a complete and utter surprise.

After the goblin fully merged with the Evil Eye to become the Master of Evil Eyes, Isaac discovered that the amount of Evil Eye Divine Power he could command had increased. If the Divine Power he could previously draw from the Virtual Divinity was only enough to amplify one or two simple spells, then now, the Evil Eye Divine Power was almost as abundant to him as his own Magic Power!

This was incredibly important for Isaac’s current situation. Not only did it drastically increase his chances of survival, but some of his other plans could now be attempted.

”Insect! Have you stared long enough?!”

Just as Isaac was lost in thought, a voice suddenly rang out by his ear—a voice laced with arrogance, anger, excitement, and a touch of ferocity.

Isaac blinked, his gaze shifting away from the goblin’s soul. He looked curiously at the Three-eyed Goblin, which was now enveloped in an aura of blood-red Divine Power. ’Hm,’ he thought, ’it does look a lot like that other Three-eyed Goblin, the one that bloomed with a Miracle of life.’
